Once you're at the airport, you can take the train, bus or taxi to your destination. Train service is provided by Bay Area Rapid Transit and costs $8.25 for the ride into the city. Bus service is provided by SamTrans, with a cost of only $4. You can find taxis offering transportation into the city for $36 parked outside the terminal entrances.

Peak tourist season is June through August. Temperatures during the summer are fairly mild, with highs only reaching the upper 60s on average. It gets a bit chilly during the summer at times, with temperatures falling into the upper 40s. Dress for the summer should feature layers, as the temperature tends to change by neighborhood due to a few microclimate areas throughout the region.

Once you get to San Francisco, you'll want to begin enjoying everything the city has to offer. For sightseeing, several bus tours start their runs at Union Square daily, or you can grab a ride with one of the cable cars running along the three trolley lines located in the city.
