Sucked really really really really really badly sucked sucked sucjed

No one here seems to like their job. Indifferent, unwelcoming check in; no clock or TV remote in room & no one came to replace it when requested; shampoo pump in shower didn't work, wash (or whatever it was) was unlabeled. Nice room, but you feel like your presence intrudes on their efforts to do nothing.

Modern and sleek hotel. Fun vibe. Great location and nice amenities. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

Staff was very friendly. Hotel room was very nice. Check in and check out quick.

Hotel and staff were nice. But cleanliness and room layout could be improved. -bellboy delivered the wrong bags to our room -bedsheets were dirty and had to be replaced -furniture/decor in room could be improved. The bed isn’t even on a bed frame. It’s made on a poorly made slab of wood. The bathroom doesn’t really have counter space. And the hot/cold water settings on the sink were hard to set -no luggage stand which is a normal item in hotel rooms Overall, I’m glad I got a good price on Orbitz for it. But if you were to to pay the original price, I’d say it’s totally not worth it.

Stayed here previously, and knew what to expect. Staff are particularly kind and attentive here. It's getting just a bit run-down, noticable in the lobby bathroom and downstairs lounge. This is about all I want to say but Orbitz won't let me out of this form unless I reach their draconian review length parameters. No fault of The Standard, however.

A clean, convenient hotel in Downtown that also excellent modern amenities

An overall great experience. Great location in downtown and the staff at The Standard are great. The front desk during my stay was the best, they helped me through some challenges I brought with my stay and gave great recommendations of businesses in the area. The staff at the restaurant were great as well. I wasn't a big fan of the situation with rooftop pool and bar. The website of the hotel make it clear there are pool parties and there are non hotel guests on the rooftop. Clean rooms, nice views of the city, close to several restaurants and a short Uber or Taxi to Dodger Stadium. If I return to LA, I would definitely come back!

Awesome location - for both work and play. The adaptive re-use of an old office building into a swanky mid-century hipster hotel is great, but the facilities are now tired and the hotel needs a refresh. That said, it’s a hard location and price to beat. Hotel staff can throw in a little bit of cheer - I realize this is not in the hipster hotel playbook, but it really doesn’t hurt.

there was construction throughout the night (i was awake from 12am-5am). when i called the front desk to ask them to how come they didn't notify me beforehand of the possible noise issue resulting from construction, rather than exhibit understanding, they were defensive and didn't off to do anything about it. they take zero accountability for any feedback you give them. also, housekeeping didn't arrive to tidy up the room-- even though i was gone from AM to PM. and when i asked upon my return for housekeeping service, it took an hour for them to arrive-- by this time, it was early evening. the rooms are also DIRTY-- mold in the bathrooms, and the carpets are dingy. i wish i had brought house-slippers-- as they do NOT provide any. The Standard LA is the WORST hotel w/ the WORST HOSPITALITY SERVICE I have ever stayed in, and they are UNAPOLOGETIC about they way they treat you. i even spoke to the manager and who was not helpful either. you are better SPENDING YOUR PRECIOUS MONEY ELSEWHERE-- trust me.

Here's my unique hotel experience in downtown la. I arrived Saturday afternoon checkin 3pm, I paid $40 for vallet and checked in with the hotel staff, the clerk gave my girl and I comped drinks at the bar while our room was being cleaned. THe hotel was in walking distance of spring street where we got drinks and listened to live music before heading back to the hotel at 3am. I checked out at 9am the next day Here our my thoughts: Affordable room for staying in downtown LA Service was friendly and accomadating Unique atmosphere; lobby dj, lobby late night bar, rooftop techno event, rooftop pool Close to Spring Street I would recommend to anyone wanting to have a fun time that doesn't care that its a more vintage spot and the hallways may smell a little

After we checked in and opened the room door, someone was already there. It was most terrified experience for us and the person in the room. The staff said it must have some mixe up but this kind of thing never let it happen. Next morning when I checked out, I was charged coffee that I never ordered. Unbelievable weak system to manage customer information. Not sure about weak system or just a human error, but no excuse for these mess and insecurities.

Room's bed was not comfortable and awkward to get in as it was so low. The shower tub combo was dangerous to use and easy to slip in. We just wanted a shower and this combo was an 'upgrade' since booked room was not ready at check in.

I stayed two nights while on a business trip. While this hotel was designed for the under 40 crowd I felt comfortable and enjoyed the energy of the young people in the restaurant and bars.
