The Queen Mary

Check in time was 4pm. We did not get a room until after 6pm -- and only because we kept asking for our room. Not ok. Granted, the rooms are not quiet proof, but we were sandwiched between two rooms full of party guests for two different weddings! LOUD at 3am is not ok. Period. The ship is amazing! Definitely a great adventure, but we were exhausted after just one night!

It was a nice iconic piece of property/ship but the neglect to the property was an eye opener. They need to spend some money to get the ship looking nicer.

Booked a room on the Queen Mary for my daughter's 21st birthday celebration. Check in was very slow but once we got to our room, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, quaint and I loved that the porthole windows opened with a great view of downtown Long Beach. We had 2 twin beds, the mattresses weren't very good but hey, they were fine for one night. The staff was very pleasant and helpful as we explored the ship. The bartenders at the Observation bar were awesome. We didn't see any ghost (bummer, lol). $7 Uber ride to downtown Long Beach is amazing. The only negative thing I would add is that $22 for parking for a hotel guest after paying to tstay at the hotel and the $18 resort fee is a bit much. All in all, we had a great time and I would recommend.

Being On A Ship 🚢 from the Past, Like Being on Ghost Ship..Yet didn’t Like the Bad Smells coming in from the Drain in the Bathtub. Suite M017 Front ..But the. Back restroom in .Was ok

Liked the historic value and restoration. It was very enjoyable to experience this piece of history.

We enjoyed the historic tour of the ship. The person (Tim) who cleaned the room (B411) was helpful and he tried to make our stay pleasant and comfortable by doing a thorough cleaning and deodorizing of the room. He could not, however, do much about the peeling paint, peeling wallpaper and an old toilet that would not flush without pushing the lever several times. Needless to say the decor was bleak and unkept. Not ArtDeco and vintage looking like we thought it would be. The bathtub and the toilet had permanent stains in them. There wasn’t even a box of Kleenex in the room. When we checked out we told the desk clerk about the toilet that would not flush without pushing the lever three or four times. She dismissed our words by saying that she would let the maintenance person take care of the problem, but that we should have held the lever down. Her demeanor was dismissive and cold. We think that the desk clerk gave us one of the worse rooms because we used Orbitz to receive a good room rate. We will use Orbitz to reserve a room in another hotel but we will not go back to the Queen Mary.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our only comments would be that our alarm on the clock in the room was set and went off at 6am. Followed by what sounded like furniture moving. Then we could hear everyone talking in the hallway. This was all between 6am and 8am, so we didn't get to sleep as late as we wished considering we were up late the night before. Other than that, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and we enjoyed the rest of our stay.

We loved everything about the ship except the cost of buying food and drinks on the ship. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room. But overall it is a unique experience and we loved every minute of it we went on three tours including a ghost tour.

I enjoyed the views and wandering the deck but the bed was not comfortable and parking is expensive.

For an old boat everything was clean and well kept. Loved that the portal window opened.

The toilet/plumbing in our room left something to be desired. It needed attention,

Beautiful place. Little too old, but was a unique experience. I recommend this hotel.

Loved the history of the boat. Fun and unique place to stay. Our stateroom was cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Its a sampler of the cruise ship. Very interesting and historical and have many events or venues you can go within the ship itself.

We stayed for one night with 2 kids and had a blast exploring the ship!

You will learn some interesting history by staying here. It was well worth it. The breakfast in their restaurant was excellent. Try the eggs Benedict. The rooms are dated and dark. I had an inside room.

Good morning, Thank you so much for taking the time offering your positive feedback regarding Tim, I will be sure to recognize him for being so attentive. I am disheartened to hear, however, that you did not enjoy your stay over all and more importantly you felt dismissed. This is not an impression we ever want our guests to have. With that being said I would love to have the opportunity to make it right and turn your experience around! Please feel free to call or email me so we can discuss. (562) 499-1702 Christina.partida@queenmary.com Again thank you so much for taking the time in providing feedback. I look forward to speaking with you. Christina Partida
