delayed check-in, dirty pillow, outdated bathroom, AC did not work; pros: it's a special experience because you stay on a cruise

Dated as you exoect, but it was all over. Bath tub had hairs and camplaint but was not taken care of

Hotel staff wanted us to wait until 4 pm to get our room when there was room available

Nice and close to cruise ship. Awesome starting point for a cruise. Would definitely recommend this

Beautiful, historic ship. Can’t wait to see it again

The only picture on Orbitz that looked exactly the same in person was the bathroom. I froze every night due to a non working thermostat. In order to have heat you have to call the front desk, so they can have someone go to the boiler room to turn up the heat. Sadly the heat never kicked in, so I ended up buying a heating blanket from Walmart.

We have stayed on the Queen Mary several times. This trip was different, on the first night there I gashed my leg on the metal bed frame that was sticking out almost 6 inches from the mattress. The bed skirt was placed trying to cover the exposing metal, so I didn't see it. The front desk called hotel security and the manager and security arrived to our room. They had a "make shift" first aid box which consisted of a half used tube of Neosporin and what they called an antiseptic in and "old" white spray bottle. I didn't want to use the "used" Neosporin, so I cleaned the cut the best I could and bandaged it. I received a business card with both of the employees names and the incident number. It was a scary situation, considering how old all of the furnishing on that ship are. I will be following up with the insurance company of the Queen Mary after I see my doctor.

Fascinating experience! Loved the room. Loved walking the decks!

The beds are really comfortable, but found the it to be a little loud in the mornings as the walls are thin and you can hear everything throughout the ship - but that was to be expected. I wish I knew there was another comforter in the closet as I was a bit cold - and it was tough figuring out how to get the shower to turn on. But overall, it was an experience to walk in the halls of the most haunted ship in America, I wish I had a paranormal experience... I live for that! I will be back for more fun soon for sure.

The Queen Mary was a fun stay. There's a lot to explore, great views and a beautiful Art Deco interior throughout the common areas and in the rooms. It's amazing how well it's all been preserved considering its age and that it was used for troop transport during WWII. The place is rich in history, takes you back in time. You can keep it casual here but it's a great place to put on your fancy clothes and class it up a bit, you won't be out of place. Just a few things to note: The walls are pretty thin, plus you'll hear noise from the cruise ships that dock nearby, so bring earplugs if you're a late sleeper. Also, the shower plumbing is a new addition to the bath plumbing. You can run a hot bath but the shower doesn't get that warm, it was barely tolerable. Lastly, any food and drink aboard the ship is super-pricey. Expect to pay twice as much as would be reasonable.

Very interesting ship, lots of history and a view into a bygone era.

This hotel is an all-time favorite.. because its a ship! And it has some incredible history. Best place to getaway is here if you want to be transported to another place and time.. beautiful facilities, lovely staff. A+

Very noise. The doors/hinges in the hallway rooms need oiled. You can hear the doors squeaking while being opened and closed all night. Also you can hear music and noise from events going on in the hotel and outside the hotel. That lasted until midnight. Also I couldn't check in to the room until 6:00 pm. They kept saying it will be another 30 minutes for 3 hours.

I got a great location which I loves! Had a great view!

I love this place! Staff is friendly if I had any issue it was taken care of fast. Beds are comfortable and the view is amazing. Thank you Queen Mary !

Great experience but shower water was cold and some of my favorite areas were closed off. The bars were cool though and the view was Beautiful. I would recommend this place to a friend.

We apologize for not enjoying your stay. We would appreciate some feedback, so we can improve in certain areas. We know the ship needs some work and we are making changes, however it does take time. The ship is a historical landmark and it takes time to get permits and contracts accepted that way the ship doesn't lose its value.
