Good location. Hotel is new. Parking is a huge pain. Service was completely bi-polar. On the one hand everyone kept asking is everything is okay (like deer in headlights), but on the other hand, they can't execute even the most basic requests. The in-room coffee pods were awful. You need two to make a standard cup of coffee. No sugar/creamer in the room. It took two trips to bring extra pods... and some actual creamer to the room. 30+ minutes. Soaps/lotions are so stingy that it is literally one use... and the scents are completely overpowering... and not meant for the gentlemen. The room was very big with nice city views. But compared to say the Freehand, the quality of the furnishings and the extra touches were far superior there. I left my AirPods in my room and didn't realize it until after I checked out. I ended up having to call three times (disconnected once), spoke to two security people who told two different 'policy' stories, and another call back the following day to hear another completely different story after no returned phone call. It literally took an 'army' and a lot on my part to get someone to simply go check a room. After requesting to speak to manager several times, they kept trying to put my off. I'm assuming they must get dinged if they refer me. The 'loop' was very annoying. Service was very disappointing. The staff seemed nice but for whatever reason couldn't get out of their own way. I'm reconsidering my Platinum Ambassador Level for next year.

Excellent location if you want to enjoy downtown LA

I stayed 1 night at the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how new and well-planned this structure is. The views from the 70th story lobby were amazing. Panoramic views of LA and the Hollywood sign. The gym was amazing stylish and cool, the best I have ever seen at a hotel. However there were some down points. The rooftop bar, one of the signature amenities was closed for rain, but there was no rain. Also, Sunday night the restaurant, the second bar, and room-service items were not available. $7 water seemed a bit much, given we would have to either not drink bottled water or leave the hotel to have some. Maybe a bottle on the house for an IHG member like myself? That felt a little bit like I was captive to their pricing. Parking options were also a bit much, only valet and $48. I don't know if that was daily or not. If it was not, again $48 seems a lot for a member parking overnight.

Beautiful hotel, would love to go back any time.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful new hotel with breathtaking views of L.A. area. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Getting to your room floor is a bit annoying since it requires two elevator rides. Check in staff was a bit rude and condescending after they noticed we booked through Orbitz. I had called to request an early check in due to arriving in L.A. very early in the morning. I was told it was not a problem and a room would be ready. The desk clerk commented that they don't allow early check in for guest who book through Orbitz. They ultimately let me check in but made me feel like I was a lower tier guest.

Asked for bowls for my service dog. We had to wait for 4 hours.

The hotel was beautiful, I really enjoyed how nice the staff were

Very clean and safe place to stay DTLA . Stayed on 55 floor had lovely view of LA to wake up to .

Beautiful hotel with amazing views. It almost felt like being on a cruise as friendly as the staff was. That said, Valet was a bit of an hassale. Having to go down 70 floors to only walk to a different elevator to go down another to parking to wait for your car. Why not just call to have it ready once you come down?. If I had to do it all over again, I would.

it was great. love it nice view but i don't like the lobby is at 70 fl.
