Be ready to pay additional $25 a day resort fee and $35 a day parking fee. That’s $60 additional dollars a day and over the 5 days there cost me $300. Lessened learned, I’ll look for lodging elsewhere next time. Also location is good but facility is old and amenities are very basic.

Hotel is in a very convenient location next to shops and restaurants and not a far walk to beach. Staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms definitely need some updating, but if you’re there to see Waikiki and need a nice, safe and inexpensive place to stay-this will do!

Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean, and beach towels are provided at the front desk.

We didn’t like the parking at all! It was hard at first to locate the parking structure and it’s dangerous because it’s a one way. We had to reverse back onto the road to wait for the other car to come down. And it’s very narrow, luckily we had a small car, other than the parking, we liked our room and the staff. Thank you.

not clean, Insects and cockroach. very low staff. long lines to talk to service staff. In-out of garage never worked properly. would pay extra and stay somewhere else.

The hotel don't have any view at all I would not tell anyone to stay in this hotel.

Centralized Location with walking distance to the beach and shopping areas

I booked a twin room on Orbitz because that's all that was available, but when I checked a few minutes later, a double room appeared on the website for the same price. I quickly called Orbitz and they told me they would ask for that upgrade for me, and even gave me the name of a staff member at the Ohana Malia for reference. When I arrived, they had plenty of available rooms but would not upgrade me to a double, saying they didn't have a staff member at the hotel by the name I gave them. That was very confusing and frustrating. I went to the twin room on the 6th floor they assigned me. It was terrible because the "city view" was facing the AC units and inside walls of the hotel; it made me feel really trapped. Please don't get a twin room here. Fortunately, Orbitz helped me resolve the upgrade problem after I called them, and I was able to upgrade to a double room at no additional cost. This room on the 12th room had a smaller bathroom but a much nicer view of the city. Of course, I would have loved if the lady at the front desk had been more accommodating and given us an ocean view for the trouble. The bellman was very kind but I didn't necessarily feel that way about the person at the front desk. The hotel is in a GREAT location, the room was clean and perfectly fine, but the pool and jacuzzi are small and indoors. I liked that the showerhead was handheld! My one complaint is that the bathrooms aren't ventilated. I would still stay here again if the prices are right.

Staff was really pleasant. Perfect location. Right in the middle of Waikiki.

Staff were fantastic. Upgraded my room without me even asking.

The main thing that bothered me was the lack of privacy due to I’m assuming renovations. Every door in the room is like 3 maybe 4 inches off. So you can hear what goes on in the hallways and in your room your neighbors can hear. We heard our neighbors bc the room we got (621) specifically was a joint room to another. So that was u comfortable. Talk about awkward when you can hear your neighbors and people in the hall. The pool and jacuzzi was small if that mattered to others who like using the pool and jacuzzi. I wouldn’t use the pool bc it’s that small I would probably use the jacuzzi only

Great location. Not a far walk to Waikiki beach. Esp for booking last minute. $30 self parking and let me tell you it was the worst parking garage i ever been in! You have to be super careful going in and out. That was definitely a huge negative for us. But besides that. Everything was wonderful. I would stay again if I didnt need a car or get the smallest car possible.

I had asked the parking attentiend how much it would be if my guest would park for a couple hours and she had no clue on how much it would be. Also I called the front desk asking about the internet service about out Apple TV , they had said the hotels tv was build to where anything not of the hotel can’t be plugged into the tv. Which was false because we plugged in our Apple TV and figured it out yourself and got to watch Netflix .

For the price, it's just right. Not on the beach, but only a very short walk. Not paying for beachfront location, though. Room was good/normal size. Room was clean comfortable. Bed was a little firm, pillows a little small, and only a few TV channels available. Room had a small fridge which was a nice surprise. Parking fee is very reasonable with in/out privileges and no valet to have to tip. Parking garage is tight but not as scary as some reviews made it sound....a small car does help. Staff was friendly. Great place to stay if you don't plan on wasting your vacation in a hotel room. Perfect for a place to park the car, take a shower, and get some sleep!

Really enjoyed my stay...close to everything!Just a block from the beach

had a great time, was concerned that there are no air conditioners but in mid May, it was great, ceiling fans are a must. all staff were helpful and friendly. great onsite stuff, rentals a bit high priced but worth not running around. onsite Consierge (Brad and Delaney) were great, they helped with many questions and if you sit thru the orientation, you get discounts to local things to do. we went to Elvis and it was fun but the AV was not working like back in high school. sound was great, all performers were great.

The parking garage is a nightmare and the hotel is old but the rooms are clean.

I've stayed at this hotel many times. Clean rooms and great staff.

My husband and I stayed at the Ohana Malia while visiting with family in Honolulu. We found it to be clean and the staff was very helpful. We enjoyed being in the middle of Waikiki where we were able to walk to the beach and an abundance of shopping areas. Free access to the Pink Line Trolley and Pink Line Double Decker bus was a plus. We enjoyed a ride on the Double Decker bus with our grandkids. They loved it! We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Aloha, Thank you for choosing the OHANA Waikiki Malia by Outrigger for your stay. I had a chance to review your feedback and I was disappointed to hear about your experience. This is not our standard procedure of cleanliness; however, will surely double check the room you were staying and conduct extreme inspection. I hope this will not hinder your future plans of coming back to our hotel. But thank you for letting us know and we do hear your concerns. Mahalo and Aloha, So'o Tana Front Office Manager
