The hotel is older which is fine but the rooms haven’t been updated and have quite a bit of wear and tear to them. The bed, super uncomfortable....worst 9 nights of sleep in a very long time. The shower is more of a trickle, perhaps they’re trying to imitate rain but with thick hair it’s a hard way to start the day! The daily resort fee is a bit high considering all you get is WiFi. The walls are extremely thin so we would hear toilets flushing all night long along with banging on walls and so on. Parking is $45 a day, my advice park at the public parking zoo lot- it’s $1.50 per hour and you only pay for what you use. The pool is small but the beach is across the street so that was fantastic. Tiki’s restaurant is very expensive and they mostly have drinks that make you get a souvenir glass. It was an ok stay but for the same cost I could’ve stayed somewhere nicer and with more amenities. We only stayed here because our friends were getting married and this was the host hotel.

Love location, the staff. Just our go to place each time we go to Oahu. We know we will have a good time!

Everyone was very nice and friendly we would come back and bring all the family enjoy everything

No room service and expensive valet parking. Rooms are adequate. After all you don't go to Hawaii to stay in your room. Older building without bathroom ventilation fans. Furniture is minimal but for a place to sleep and clean up it's fine. Beds are clean and comfortable. Valet/bell is good. Great access to the beach and a great pool.

Excellent place to stay. Right by the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. They offered free beach towels, chairs, and GoPro. I could not be happier.

The pictures listed are very deceiving. The room floor was moist and gross throughout my whole stay. The bathroom is very old and run-down. There was also a cockroach on our last day at the hotel. Would not suggest to book your trip with this hotel. The only plus it really had was that it was across the street from the beach and the staff was friendly. Also, FYI they charge $45 per day to park a vehicle with their hotel. They don't have a self park garage, you must use their valet.

Love the hotel but can use a update! Terrific location. Tikis has amazing food! Miss Aston ‘s breakfast by the pool..

Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool is nice and the staff of the Tiki Bar & Grill provide a good drink service the the area. Rooms were small. No exhaust fans in the bathrooms so you create a steamboat every time you shower and an unpleasant odor when using the toilet. Bathtub is small. Our toilet seat came loose and wasn't repaired after I requested it. The coolest the air conditioning could get the room was 79° F and when the repairman looked at it said it would have to be taken out for repair. The next morning it was dripping water from the bathroom ceiling causing them to have to move us to a different room. Went looking for the ice machine and was told I would have to take the elevator as they are only on the even floors. You can add another $88.00 a day to your room cost if you have a rental car. The "resort fee" is $43.00 a day and parking is $45.00 a day. If all you want is a bed and someplace to wash up this will suffice but don't expect much more.

They should not advertise that the room is ocean view when it is only partial view. That’s cheating. Our view was more of the mountain and the ocean view is only partial with buildings blocking on it. That was a shame. You have to upgrade and pay extra to get the real ocean view. It doesn’t matter but they should remove that advertisement that says “ocean view” but it’s actually not. Beware of this.

The location & view of the beach is perfect. Concierge were not friendly or helpful. No room service. No spa.

The hotel is right on the beach and is at a very good location for shopping and having fun. Maid service is really bad. They only change the sheets once every three days. My shower head was covered with thick black mold. They didn't even clean it after my first day. I have to buy bleach and clean it myself. The tub pad was in the same condition. It has so much mold that I am scare to touch it. The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel has towels and beach chairs for you to use freely.

Across the street from Waikiki beach. Perfect location. Actually the best location. Free parking from 10pm to 6am on the street. And a block away from the zoo parking lot, which is 1.50 and hour. All beaches free parking. Location is great. Very close to Texaco gas station. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. FYI Dukes breakfast buffets is the best very inexpensive. Also Omg breakfast restaurant $7.99 if you want a basic breakfast... don’t pay full price for luau. Ask your Concierge about the Monarch timeshare and only pay $37.50 for your luau instead of $129.00.. best beaches to visit are Shark cove no sharks just a nice place to snorkel bring your rented snorkel gear from bobs snorkel rentals $30 for the whole week but pay the up grade and get the better mask. Also near by from Aston hotel. Other beaches Lanikai beach, Waimea Bay, Waimanalo Beach but set your gps to Waimānalo cottages. That street has beach access and parking on the side and don’t forget to bring boogie boards that’s the best place to boogie board very sandy smooth beach. Hanauma Bay Also another place Best time To go is 9-12 water very clear and clean to snorkel and $7 fee per person. And if you rent a car use Costco travels best rates always. Always book for intermediate or Economy at the waikiki location Choose Alamo then upgrade for a Jeep at the time of pick up.. also 6 min walk from the Aston hotel.

The location was perfect, and the service was good
