Winters are slightly cooler and summers slightly warmer, but the weather in this part of California doesn’t really vary a lot throughout the year. John Wayne Airport is the closest arrival point for passengers traveling to Anaheim. Located around 20 minutes from the city, the airport offers regular flights to a number of cities across the US as well as handful of destinations in Canada and Mexico. Most of the flights that depart from the airport are bound for Denver, Phoenix and San Francisco. The local 76 bus route serves the airport on weekdays and the Disneyland Resort also runs regular express services to the terminal. If you’re arriving at a weekend, you’ll need to arrange a shuttle from the airport to your hotel or book a hire car.
Although John Wayne Airport is the closest to Anaheim, Los Angeles International offers a far greater choice of flights. Planes depart from the airport for destinations across the US and around the world, with thousands of people arriving and taking off every day. Extensive public transport options are available at the airport or you can arrange a private transfer to your hotel.

Anaheim has a good public transport network with buses connecting most parts of the city. You can catch the bus to various destinations across Orange County including Santa Ana and Pacific City.

Disneyland is the most famous and the most popular attraction in Anaheim. Drawing millions of visitors every year, it’s a must see for anyone with a love of Disney. The only theme park built to completion under the supervision of Walk Disney, the park covers around 65 hectares and features a huge choice of rides, themed areas, restaurants and entertainment options.
The second most popular attraction in the city is also part of the Disney empire. California Adventure was inspired by the culture and history of the Golden State. Asking a separate admission fee to Disneyland, the park is a great destination for a family day out.
