First Glimpse
AMAWATERWAYS' 164-passenger AmaCerto is scheduled to launch in 2012. The boat will sail itineraries along Europe's great waterways, including the Rhine, Mosel, Main and Danube.

Here's what's in store for passengers on an AmaCerto cruise:

AMA offers nearly all-inclusive cruising. So beyond the cruise ship standards -- food, accommodation, entertainment -- AmaCerto passengers get wine and beer with dinner, unlimited Internet use and guided tours in each port. There are also about 20 bikes available for exploring onshore (no additional fee).

Standard cabins are 170 - 235 square feet, a solid size for a river cruise industry where cabins are typically in the 170-square-foot range. All accommodations have "Infotainment" setups with flat-screen TV's, Internet access and movie and music libraries. The cabins on the Violin and Cello decks feature AMA's new "twin balcony" setup, which consists of a French balcony and a separate outside balcony. Cabins on the lower Piano deck feature picture windows right at the water line. There are also four 350-square-foot suites, each of which includes twin balconies and a mini bar.

There are two lounges on AmaCerto -- a large main lounge with a bar, piano and dance floor and an observation lounge, both of which offer panoramic views of Europe. The sun deck features a heated pool with a whirlpool and a "swim-up" bar, a walking track and bicycles for solo exploration. Other onboard amenities include an elevator, a library, small fitness area, a beauty salon and a masseuse.

Passengers have multiple dining options aboard the AmaCerto, including the main restaurant, serving gourmet cuisine; Erlebnis Chef's Table, where a private chef prepares a special tasting menu for the passengers; an al fresco bistro on select days; and private dining in the Wine Room.
