Great get away by
Sherry R from Michigan Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: Hospitality of cruise staff, food, variety of on board activities Cons: ports The ship was very clean, excellent helpful staff. Our children spent a lot of time on the basketball court, as well as playing volley ball and dodge ball. The ice rink is small, very small. The spa and fitness areas were great. Ship QualitySome areas were not well ventilated and seemed to be quite smoke filled, but there are plenty of non-smoking areas, however not all guests observed this. Dining/FoodExcellent variety. Well prepared and presented. Even in casual dining areas there were never any lines and our cruise was completely booked. Stateroom QualityThey are rather small but adequate. We didn't spend a lot of time in there anyway. Ship Staff Qualitysuper people! Entertainment & ActivitiesMost were very good. There was one act that seemed rather awful, and many other guests we spoke with thought the same. If they used their survey cards properly, that act will likely be removed from future bookings. Children's ProgramsWe had two teens with us that each have very different interests. They both came home very happy. Imagine that!

Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, HondurasWe had an awesome shore excursion. Everyone in the family liked this one best. Pirates, Monkeys and Birds.

Very child friendly and staterooms were by
Geri from USA Sailing date: Dec 2006Pros: Children's program. The only reason I would take this cruise line again is because of the children's program (3-5 yr olds). My family has traveled on Celebrity and Princess and this program was by far the best. And if the children are happy, the parents and grandparents are happy. Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: The Ice chow was the hit. 19 out of 20 people found this review helpful.

  A Beautiful Ship by
Julie R. from Center, Tx Sailing date: Jan 2009The ship is beautiful--the promenade, the deck areas,
the dining rooms and the casino are wonderful. Ship QualityThis is a big ship but it did not seem crowded. Dining/FoodCuisine was wonderful both in buffet areas and in dining
rooms. We did not try any of the specialty eating areas. Stateroom QualityWe had a balcony room--first ever--and loved it--the bed
was fabulously comfortable. Ship Staff QualityOur door card keys would not work for a relatively short time--
when my husband complained, we received "apology" gifts
of wine, a r.c. bag, scrapbook and other goodies--nice service!! Entertainment & ActivitiesThe ice show was outstanding--the variety shows that we did
attend were also very good.
Collapse List of Ports
Costa Maya (Mahahual), MexicoA pleasant surprise--the shops, restaurants and pools were
lovely--next time we will take swim suits.
Cozumel, MexicoWe have been to Cozumel many times and always love the
stop there. Mexcalitos is a never-miss spot for the best
margaritas and nachos.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, HondurasSuch an improvement since our last stop there--it looks like
civilization now--shopping was fun in the market by the
pier.

  Great, but tiring. by
Jessica from MA Sailing date: May 2007Pros: Dining. It was an incredible cruise experience. The one drawback was how tired I was every day at the end of the day. We basically came back to eat the fantastic dinner we had every night and then went to sleep for the next day's adventure. I think another city in Italy (instead of Rome) would have been better -- because 1) I have been to Rome before and 2) no one can really appreciate Rome in 1 day (~ 7 hours). Southern France & Italy + Sicily were beautiful. I loved the dining experience too -- it was great.
Collapse List of Ports
Civitavecchia (Rome), ItalyCan't do Rome in a day!
We took the train in and out of Rome which was easy but Rome is too big to experience in 1 day. Northern Italy would have been better I think.
Naples, ItalyGo South!
Loved taking the tour to Sorrento and Pompeii, which are a bit south of Naples. Was absolutely beautiful. Wish we had a bit more time to relax in Sorrento and shop and look around -- however my mom instead wished for more time in Pompeii. It really depends on what you like the most.
Don't Miss: Pompeii. Palermo, SicilyTake a tour.
We took the tour to Erice and the greek temple and it was great. Really enjoyed the natural beauty and the tour.

  A very nice Cruise by
Stuart S. from Houston Sailing date: Oct 2008Pros: RCCL did a nice job with the food and the service was great. The tours were also very nice at the various ports. They have getting people on/off the ship down to a science!! The wine package was nice and the prices are very reasonable. Cons: Hard to come up with any negatives. The ship was commissioned in 1999 and has been very well maintained. Ship Quality

Civitavecchia (Rome), ItalyWe have already been to Rome so we took the Bracciano Lake & Wine Tasting tour. It was good but not great. The scenery was very nice.
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), ItalyWe took the Wine Tasting in Tuscany tour. It was good but not great. The wine was only OK. The scenery was very nice.
Naples, ItalyWe took the Secrets of Pompeii & it's Wine tour. This was a great trip that's only available on certain RCCL cruises. It was very informative and the Mastroberardino winery was very nice.
Palermo, SicilyWe just walked around the commercial area for a few hours and then relaxed on the ship.
Villefranche-Sur-Mer, FranceWe took the Monte Carlo & Grand Casino tour which was very nice. Wear comfortable walking shoes because you will walk quite a bit on uphill/downhill walk ways.

  A Great Time by
Elaine H from San Antonio, Tex Sailing date: Jan 2009Pros: How friendly the crew was Cons: Lines to wait in It was our first cruise so we didn't know quite what to expect. We were very pleased with most everything. Loved the Mystery Dinner Theater at Portifinos. The pools were beautiful and loved that the bars were handy!! Mixed emotions cruise by
Luis J. from Caguas, Puerto Rico Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: Ports of call Cons: Claustrofobic environment in a five star maximum security jail We took this cruise because or the price and the ports of calls. We had been previously to Rome and Florence and wanted to visit again these beautiful cities. We did it...but at what a pace. There is nor enough time to enjoy the many attractions that both places have to offer.
The rest is old stale shows, food that try to pass as "gourmet" with little success and on board prices that make the savings disapear in the first 24 hours...!
Dissapointing! Ship QualityTo many people...! Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityThomas (head waiter at the informal dining room) and Lorna that took care of our cabin, are excellent employees that deserve better working conditions! Entertainment & Activities

  My Worst Cruise by
Roland J from Fort Worth, TX. Sailing date: Apr 2010Pros: Excellent Ship, Excellent Crew! Cons: Entertainment Terrible! Intresting Activities Too Few! Boarding and Exit Horrible! The ship is well maintained, very clean, smooth ride even in rough watters. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodNot enough flexibility in selections. Did not have enough dining options or specialty dining at a reasonable price. Portafinos was over priced for what was offered. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityThe crew is what made this vacation bearable. Everyone did their best to aid passengers in every endeavor. Entertainment & ActivitiesJust plain Poor. 5 out of 7 people found this review helpful.
