Good bang for the buck.
by Sandy from Medford, NJ
Sailing date:
Jan 2007
We really had a good time on the Voyager of the Seas. We left Miami right after a 2 day business conference - very convenient - excellent value. We had an inside cabin on deck 10 - quiet, smooth sailing. We had late dinner seating - wait staff excellent. Food good. Enjoyed all the entertainment especially the ice show & variety shows with Royal Carribean singers & dancers. We got off at all ports - Nassau on Sunday was a waste of time. Would have prefered to spend more time in other ports. Perfect weather - enjoyed Seattle coffee 24/7 as well as soft serve ice cream on pool deck.

Excellent experience.
by Mary from St. Louis, MO
Sailing date:
Aug 2006
Pros:
Cabin size.
From the landing in Barcelona Spain to the return to the pier for return home, everyone was very friendly and willing to assist. The food selection was well above what was expected and the service above and beyond excellent. The transportation from the airport made the experience get off to a great start since the flight arrived so early and the ship was not ready. The ports we visited were magnificent and really gave a good representation of each country. The shore excersions made the trip memorable. Will cruise this line again!

Excellent experience if you want an all-
by A Traveler from St. Paul, MN
Sailing date:
Jun 2006
Pros:
The plethora of dining and drinking options on the boat.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. We loved being able to choose how active or relaxed we wanted to be each day. After a busy day of exploring Europe, it was nice to come back to the ship, relax, and know that a wonderful dinner was awaiting us (ie, no debating where we should go, what we felt like eating, etc... like we do on normal vacations). The entertainment was fantastic. We loved being able to bar-hop on the ship without worries about making it back to our stateroom. We loved each of the excursions. We did not take any of the paid excursions, by choice and by recommendations from previous cruisers. Take Rome for instance - we paid less than 20 euros to take the train in & out of Rome. People who took the excursions paid $100/person, and we all saw the exact same sites. Overall, I would recommend this vacation to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience, flexibility and convenience.

Entertainment: The shows were fantastic and very professionally done. When you take into account the shows, the stateroom and the dining experience, this cruise vacation was very economical.

Quality entertainment, good experience
by Linda L from Carlisle, PA
Sailing date:
Feb 2012
Pros:
many venues for activities & space to relax away from the crowd
Cons:
boarding process inefficient
Ship is well designed, lots to do day & night, great entertainment in theater, lounges. Loved the game shows hosted by ship staff. Do not appreciate all the "extra" costs when the price of the cruise is high enough to cover some of these items. Specialty restaurants that require payment for meals are a big negative. The other dining venues provide lots of variety and My Time dining covers those folks who do not like to be seated at specific times. Of course, My Time dining also costs extra. Do not appreciate that water and soda have to be purchased & no alcohol can be brought onto the ship. Inability to have a mixed drink or beer in cabin/balcony removed a great deal of enjoyment and use of balcony. You can sit on balcony but can't have an alcoholic drink while enjoying your space. It takes awhile to go to bar, get drink, and get all the way back to your room. We rarely drink alcohol but vacation is one time I like to have a daily drink & relax on balcony after a day of activities. We may not cruise again based on these negatives. Cost of cruise is high enough to cover at least water & soda. (free water, lemonade & tea available at 2 locations in open cups-no lids) We felt we were being charged all the time for something which removed some of the pleasures of cruising.

Dining/Food
The food was excellent and we were very pleased with offerings in the Windjammer and LaBoheme dining room but as noted above, do not appreciate the extra costs of My Time Dining and Specialty restaurants. These restaurants were empty most of the week until everyone was trying to use coupons at end of week. We never used our Orbitz Specialty Dinner coupon.
Stateroom Quality
Lots of storage, 3 Suitcases even fit on closet floor of our balcony stateroom.
Ship Staff Quality
Very energetic entertainment team - wonderful. Stateroom attendants were good and dininig room team was excellent.
Entertainment & Activities
There were many good choices of activities on board. In fact, it was difficult to remember to relax away from the crowd - there always seemed to be something we wanted to do.

Great cruise
by Ken K. from Philadelphia, PA
Sailing date:
Jan 2012
Pros:
The staff was unbelievable - very freindly and helpful
Cons:
Getting off of the ship was fine but trying to get the transfer to the airport was horrible.
The ship was laid out very well - the promanade deck was superb. The rooms had a lot of space to store clothes, etc. The food was excellent and the service was second to none.

Dining/Food
The food was excellent and we had no problem finding good choices, but I would have liked a few more selections to choice from.

A lot of storage and very comfortable bed. The shower was tight but usable.
Ship Staff Quality
Every single staff member we encountered whether they were serving you or not was very friendly and helpful.
Entertainment & Activities
