Good and so-so. by
Jim from Illinois, USA Sailing date: Feb 2007The cruise was our first and we enjoyed it. Some of the excursions were not very appealing. The tour of Belize City was somewhat depressing. We determined that the cruise was a great way to 'sample' different vacation destinations and subsequent vacations would be directly to our favorite spots (Grand Cayman, Cancun).  Nice Cruise if your 15 year old isn't al by

This was a fun cruise and the ship was nice eventhough it was one of RC older ships. Unfortunately there was not much at all offered for our 15 year old daughter to do. It was very difficult for her to meet any other 15 year olds on the trip due lack of organized activities for that age group. Entertainment & ActivitiesActivities: There was not enough offered for the 14 - 17 year old passengers. No formal programs at all for that age group.

Relaxing get away. by
Rick from Owatonna, MN Sailing date: Jan 2007Pros: The big open Centrum area is so beautiful and any part of the ship you want to go to is so easily accessed from the Centrum area. This is the right size ship to go on. It is not too big, the big ships are so much harder to get around and have so many people on them. Yet it is big enough to have all We greatly enjoyed this cruise. We decided to just relax and take it easy, didn't jump into the excursion rat race. The food, service, and accommodations were superb. The only negative was being in a room under the pool deck. There was the constant squeak of chairs moving on the floor above and at all times, day and night. Entertainment & Activities

A Great Crew but a Failing Ship by
Robert T from Chicago, Illinois Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The itinerary taking us to Naples, Athens, Mykonos, Rhodes, Ephesus, Alexandria, and Corfu Cons: Poor Internet Service, noisy Plumbling Repairs in rooms occupied by passengers, smells in the corridor of sewerage, blackouts for no notification, resulting in the loss of typed work I was going to send out as an E-Mail, insufficient washrooms onboard. The ship either needs a complete overhaul or else it needs to be retired. The design is dated, with insufficient washrooms in places where you would expect to find them: outside the main theater, outside the main dirining room. There was nosy replacement of pipes going on during the day, unexplained blackouts, the smell of sewerage in some corridors, and poor internet service. While the crew was hard working, courteous, and helpful, the ship is a looser. Ship QualityThe ship looks good from the outside, but is showing its age. The pipes are in need of repair. Internet service is terrible. Corridors smeel of sewer gas. There is a decided lack of washrooms. The public areas are too small to accomodate the number of people on board. While the ship is clean and the crew are trying hard to make it look goood, they cannot overcome the shortcomings of this vessel. Dining/FoodThe food and service was excellent. The waiters and chefs were fantastic. They exceeded my expectations. First class work here. Stateroom QualityExaclty what I have come to expect from Royal Caribbean. Ship Staff QualityThe ship staff are hard working, friendly, helpful, courteous professionals. Entertainment & ActivitiesEnterainment was uneven. Why have Argentinian gauchos on the first night, when you just left the port of Rome and were heading to Naples. Were all the Italians unavailable to entertain or is Royal Carribean just cheap in not being willing to hire local entertainers? I think Royal Caribbean is cheap in the entertainment category. Children's ProgramsI heard good comments about the children's programs. Parents and kids seemed to be very satisfied by these offerings. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Children out of control: Too many childr by

Otherwise, shipboard experince was the worst of the several cruises that I've been aboard. I'll not plan to sail on RCI again. Dining/FoodFood and service were very marginal, never excelling and sometimes poor. Management was very accomodating when table change was requested.
Stateroom QualityAdequate and comfortable.
Ship Staff QualityGreat variation in quality among service/staff members, not consistently good or bad.

Cruise to Carribeans. by
Virginia from Mauston, WI Sailing date: Mar 2007Pros: The solarium and buffet dining. The rooms were clean. Most of the service was very good especially in the buffet dining area. We did have some problems with the person provided for our room service. They either forgot to leave fresh towels or did not complete the task in room. We did not like the times for the evening meal. It was 6:30PM or later. Most of the shows were also to late in the evening. We would not book a cruise again during spring break as we felt it was geared more toward the young. The pool for adults was so cold that you could not get in and enjoy it. Most shows were to late in the evening. 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

Royal Carribean just ok. by
Bob from Florida Sailing date: Jan 2007Pros: The staff was definitely friendly and helpful when asked. For the most part, the cruise was OK. It certainly was not as memorable as other cruises because the food was just average, the dining room staff was always rushed and didn't take much time with us, and one excursion was really awful for the price. Entertainment & ActivitiesActivities: Exercise facility is very limited in size and equipment.
