Ability to personalize your cruise.
by Sue from Milwaukee, WI
Sailing date:
Feb 2006
Pros:
The staff.
This was the first cruise for my sister and we wanted to just relax in our suite and do however much or little we wanted. If we decided to sit on our balcony all day we did. If we wanted to be out on an excursion all day, we did. And the staff was always friendly and efficient. This year we went on a different cruise line and we already have our trip planned for Jan 08 right back on this ship with Royal Caribbean. That's how much we enjoyed our experience.

Great deal for the price!
by A Traveler from Atlanta/Alpharetta, GA
Sailing date:
Jan 2007
Pros:
First and foremost price. Fairly well layed out for a smaller ship.
Having sailed on the Voyager Class ships for my last two trips before this, I'll have to admit that my expectations were low. Fortunately, coming in with that viewpoint, I was actually more than happy with the overall quality of my trip. In many ways, its nice to be on a "smaller" vessel as the more intimate setting makes it easier to meet people as you see many of the same faces on board quite often. The staff was top notch as usual on Royal Caribbean and the entertainment director and his staff really kept us going. The only disappointments for me were that first, New Orleans, though a wonderful city, is a bit far north to take a cruise in January. Both days in N.O. were in the high 50's and downright chilly. My fault for not researching and thinking in advance about this but I'll never take another cruise in the winter from here again. Additionally both days after and before our visit to N.O. were also a bit cold. Now I know you cant base a cruise on the weather but again, for someone like me, looking for 80 degree temps, I'll restrict my winter cruising from now on to warmer ports of origination. Overall, since this ship and cruise seems to be on the lower end of the price scale though, this was a FANTASTIC bargain for the money. I'm still a big fan of RCCL.

Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: GREAT comedians and decent productions. Personally, I'm not crazy about solo singing performances and we had two nights of those.

Ports of Call:
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Modern resort amidst jungle beauty. A newer port that gives you a somewhat "Disneyesque" presentation of a Mexican/Mayan Coastal resort. Everything was new and beatiful and tastefully designed to fit within a jungle setting. Many excursion can be had to visit ancient ruins nearby.
Cozumel, Mexico
George Town, Grand Cayman
Don't Miss:
Heard sting ray city was amazing. Wish I had gone.
