A Good Cruise - But Less Than Expected by
James S from Franktown, CO Sailing date: May 2009Pros: Clean, well sized stateroom. Cons: During dinner and in our stateroom, the temperature was uncomfortably hot. Dining Room meals had some delicious moments, but in general were not as good as we had come to expect from Royal Caribbean. Ship was clean and well maintained. Some procedures (check-in, muster drill, disembarkation) were significantly improved over prior cruises.
Temperatures inside the ship (especially our stateroom and the formal dining hall) were frequently too hot.
Formal dining meals had some great items (e.g. the garlic tart), but the food in general was not what we had come to expect on Royal Caribbean. The fare in the food court was ok, but tended toward bland tastes.
Staff we encountered were enthusiastic, hard working and friendly. However, we didn't see much staff in the lounges so it took a long time to order a drink. Ship QualityClean, well kept ship. Stateroom QualitySize and accommodations were good. Temperature was too hot. Ship Staff QualityFriendly staff, but not readily available. Entertainment & ActivitiesEntertaining, but not as good as previous cruises with you. 2 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

Good spaces and food but bad management by
Juan V from Panama Sailing date: Nov 2008Pros: Architectural spaces Cons: Bad management and coordination I think this ship has very nice spaces and good food quality. But the guest service management is very poor and the coordination between activities are bad too. At the second day of cruise I request for an appointment with the cruise director because I have experience in cruising and I am still waiting. The activities are too short and that makes that it is impossible to make an environment to enjoy them. The restaurants are very well attended and you can feel good there. Our cabin was dirty and the bathroom with bad smell. Ship QualityThe ship isnt well painted, it has many parts oxide. In my experience a cruise ship has to be painted in every port I didnt see it in this cruise. The public areas have good appearance but in some parts lack of cleanliness. Dining/FoodThis is a good point for this cruise. Stateroom QualityThe cabin was good, but the stateroom attendant didnt change the linen in the whole cruise. The only exception was the towels. She was knocking the door to "clean" the stateroom too early in the morning and if you spend more time in your cabin you lose the turn to make the room. Ship Staff QualityThe only exception was the captain and crew members. The staff had only a repeating tape when you ask something. Entertainment & ActivitiesI think they didnt coordinate the activities. They cut the good ones shortly. Children's ProgramsThe children activities were very poor in this cruise. Few children in this cruise, maybe in other route become better. 11 out of 17 people found this review helpful.

Some bumps along the way. by
Nicole from US Sailing date: Jan 2007Pros: Our cabin was nice. Some serious issues, ranging from heating of pool to lack of access to certaim activities, made the cruise less enjoyable. Entertainment & Activities

 Overall a good cruise. by
Lucrecia from Chesapeake, VA Sailing date: Nov 2006Pros: Many cruise dates. My husband and I were on a much needed vacation. We chose Royal Caribbean because they offered a cruise schedule that met our needs. On Royal Caribbean--the food was very good overall. The shower floor was disgusting--with pink gunk in the grout. One of the "clean" glasses place on our room (with the paper cover) was obviously not clean--you could see the grime 30' away--yet someone thought it was "clean enough" for someone to drink out of?? Entertainment: The entertainment was not very good. 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  Nice. by
Desi from Florida Sailing date: Apr 2006Pros: Food and piano entertainment. The room was microscopic and the toilet over flowed the entire trip. The Mexico port was horrible with rude people and men with machine guns standing around. Very dangerous. The food was excellent BUT most did not follow dining hall dress code. Buffet was excellent as well as room service. The piano players at night and appetizers was very pleasant but the over lapping times of events and shortage of events in the deep evening made it hard to see anything good. Over all I would not recommend this ship/location but may recommend this Cruise line again. Entertainment & ActivitiesActivities: There was too many over lapping activities early in the evening and not many at night. Made it hard to see everything you wanted to.
Entertainment: Piano singers were GREAT. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  Top 5 Vacations by
Brett R from Cumberland, MD Sailing date: Mar 2013Pros: Wide Variety of Activies to do Cons: Someone died on our cruise The ship is very clean on the inside and is well planned. For my first cruise it was a delight and an eye opening experience. CoCoCay is a must. In the morning you could not tell of the clear water, but by mid day you could see the picturesque views anywhere you stood. What I really enjoyed were the personalities of all the crew members, especially the cruise director. I am sure he does the same routine over and over for all the trips, but he made my stay feel like we were wanted. We are already considering our next cruise with Royal Caribbean. Dining/FoodThe food was over my expectations. Stateroom Quality

Great cruise on a smaller ship by
A Traveler from Jessup, MD Sailing date: Sep 2012Pros: Port close to home Cons: This time of the year ran into rough seas for one day After traveling on the Royal Caribbean Allure, I was not expecting much from this ship. It was a pleasant surprise. Common/public areas were very well maintained, clean, and inviting. The crew/staff made this cruise a great experience. The ship is small and older but was a great deal for us. A lot to do daily. Only one day of bad weather on the last sea day. Felt seasick for a few hours but the weather cleared and I was ok. However, it could have been worse because this time of the year, rough seas are a high probability. Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom QualityOlder staterooms. Need some refreshing. Wish there was a refridgerator, flat screen with ability to order room service, check bill, pay bill etc. Would have been good to have an IPOD dock too. Ship Staff Quality
