  Great Experience by
katarzyna from Boston, MA Sailing date: Apr 2011Pros: Loved everything about it Cons: Some of the islands So this was my and my husband's first cruise and we were not sure if being confined to the small area was our thing. Boy, were we wrong.... The boat is really big and it never feels crowded. There were 3,000 passangers and 1,200 crew. The food in the dining rooms was first class. We had 4 course meels including soup, salads, main course and dessert. Manu is different everyday so you can try different things like prime rib, lobster, pheasant, beef wellington, etc. Huge selection of choices in the all you can eat buffet, not that the quality is that great. The grill option and pizza bar was very good and they were right by the pool. The amount of activities on the boat is just increadible. From bingo to zumba classes, from movies played on the big screen by the pool to ballroom classes and everything in between. We were not bored for one second if we really wanted to do something. There were many different shows and entertainment options in the everning. We saw two different comedians, which were great!!! There were live bands, broadway type production shows, contests, art shows and demonstrations. We did not see to many little kids, which was great. But they do have great entertainment area for just kids so I think most of them were there. We do ballroom dancing so we had planty of opportunity to do that. I would highly recommend Princess and Ruby.
As far as the destination, we liked most of the islands but some have kind of third world feel. St Marteen felt poor and dirty. In St Thomas we did the excersion to St John to do snorkling at Trunk Bay. That was amazing....
on Grund Turk we did the bike tour of the island which you can do in an hour and a half. The island was distroyed few years ago by a huricane and many parts have not been rebuild.
Overall, would do it again, ready to book another one.
Stateroom QualityHad interiar room since was afraid of the motion sickness but the boat did not feel like it was moving once we were at the ocean. Room was small, so was the bathroom but it's about what we expected. Very clean and the staff changed the towels and made the bed twice a day. Ship Staff QualityStaff on board is from all over the world. They are there to please you and work very hard and long hours. 14 out of 14 people found this review helpful.

Susan and Rob C. from Long Island, NY Sailing date: Mar 2011Pros: The shows were great Cons: Not enough time in some ports The onboard staff was amazing, the entertainment was stellar, the food was great! We had a wonderful time and we highly recommend. This was a very adult-based cruise which was nice too, as we didnt want to be surrounded by children. Ship Quality

Grand Turk IslandLoved our tour - a nice ride around the small island and our tour guide was great. We wish we had more time at the final stop which was a small beach with some snorkeling.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)Very relaxing, but not much to do....mostly just lay in sun and eat at the BBQ
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.Loved the tour that we took - involved hiking, kayaking and snorkeling. Wish we had more time on the island.
Philipsburg, St. MaartenTook a tour and wish we didnt. Should have just taken a taxi to a beach. The tour was boring and we didnt see much.

Y Marshall from St. John's, NL Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: Food, Entertainment, Wonderful staff, everything. The Ruby Princess was tops in everyway. It was immaculately clean, excellent food, wonderful courteous staff, and entertainment was top notch. I would love a balcony room the next time, but our interior stateroom was beautiful. A ship of kindness by
Carol and Sol F. from Boston Sailing date: Feb 2013Pros: The personnel were suportive, friendly, cariing Cons: too many services are aggressively sold. photo shop/solicitation is overwhelming;computer room overcharged and poorly staffed The management of the ship is superb; employees caring; food superb; entertainment of rarely skilled level-interesting programs and presentation. The ship is a "moveable feast" bringing Broadway, Waldorf Astoria level offerings; Angela is a great organizer and waiter Jorge a gem. 7 plus. One is never lonely or forgotten on this ship; there is something for everyone. Ship QualityAll are excellent but there is too much space allocated to the photo shop-passengers had to squeeze around the crowds presenting a dsanger to safety. Suggestion- library hours need to be extended; computer room too expensive and poorly attended; staff unfriendly Dining/FoodWaldorf Astoria take a lesson. The wait staff and food presentation excellent Stateroom QualityReggie was respectful and efficient 7+ Room clean and everything accessible. Ship Staff QualitySmiles everywhere; it should only be like this at home Entertainment & ActivitiesThe dancing opportunities were ample; the skill areas well varied and proficient. Each entertainer related to each passenger directly; comedian Wshington a rare act. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  Another great cuise by
Mark & Mary R. from Metro Detroit, Michigan Sailing date: Nov 2012Pros: The great people & Ship. Cons: The weather We have been on 2 other Princess cruises, and like this one, they always impress us with just how wonderful everything is. From the great ships, to the "Bend over backwards" from the crew, we will really have a hard time cruising with anyone else. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodWe have made 3 cruises with Princess now, and the food has always been fantastic! Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityLike I said before, the staff seem to bend over backwards to try to please your every request. Great Job! Entertainment & Activities

Cozumel, MexicoCozumel had a great vibe. The entire area was blissfully clean and there were fabulous restaurants in which to explore.
George Town, Grand CaymanThis is a very boring, shop-ridden port.
Don't Miss: Seven Mile Beach Ocho Rios, JamaicaThroughout Jamaica, my traveling partners and myself felt as though we were being constantly pestered to the point that we felt like we were going to be hijacked at times. Ocho Rios is very depressing and not the sort of place that I wish to spend any time.
Don't Miss: Dunn's River Falls Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)This is a great place in which to log some beach time.

Somewhat disappointed but still good by
Jenny P from Tampa, FL Sailing date: Mar 2013Pros: Cleanliness, activities, destinations Cons: Dining room service and food quality The Ruby Princess is very clean and there were to a of fun activities. Cruise staff overall were very nice. I was disappointed with the service and the food in the main dinning room. I had been on Princess 8-10yrs ago and the food was amazing! Maybe the economy has affected all cruise lines in general and this is why the quality of the food has deceased...sad. I'd still recommend Princess but would love to see an improvement in food. Staff at dinning room were not as attentive or funny or amicable as they used to. Maybe the are overworked. We asked not to have the butter served on ice (because its too hard haha) and we had to repeat this to the same waiter every single night. He never got it right. 8-10 yrs ago they remembered our names and were soooo nice! Made our dining experience so fun! I missed that this time Ship Quality
Dining/FoodVery disappointed compared to Princess 8-10yrs ago Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityDo not generally go above and beyond like they used to Entertainment & Activities
