  Great cruise! by
A Traveler from Temecula, CA Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: Relaxing and fun Cons: Table service could have been better. We had a great time. Good for a weekend get-a-way. Not recommended for youg children due to the more adult nature of the many bachelor/bacelorette parties on board. Ship Quality

  Affordable and Fun Cruise!!!!!!!! by
Tracy C. from Fairfield, CA Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: Everything about the cruise was amazing.... The food, the service, the excursions, and the entertainment kept me busy the whole time. The ship was excellent. It had everything you would want to do on your vacation. the cabins were a bit small, however, with all the entertainment and excitement around the ship. I barely spent any time in my room at all. The crew members also helped to make this a fun cruise. They were all very fun and friendly. Ship QualityThe ship was very clean and well maintained! Dining/FoodThe food was excellent! I especially enjoyed the lobster tail with prawns! Stateroom QualityThe cabins without a window are small, but very clean. Ship Staff QualityThe crew did an amazing job of ensuring quality service. Entertainment & ActivitiesLOTS OF ENTERTAINMENT!! Children's Programs

Ensenada, MexicoWe went off-roading on buggys. This excursion is very intense!!! It is so fun. If you are looking for a fun, thrilling, and unique experience, I highly recommend the buggys. They are more fun than the ATV's. Just make sure you wear old clothes. YOU WILL GET DIRTY!
Don't Miss: We checked out a bunch of the authentic bars in Mexico in the evening. Tequila for only $3 and beer for $1. It was definitely and good night!! Catalina Island, CaliforniaCatalina was a little bit boring. However, we made the best of it by renting bicycles and riding round the island.
Don't Miss: Rent a bike or a golf cart 2 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

Great Time! Great four day crusie! by
Josh R. from CA Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: We loved it all! The shows, waiters, hospitality staff, etc. Cons: The constant sales picth from the Cruise director to give them a good rating. Both my wife and I were impressed with hospitality staff, they were very thorough and kept the ship clean and shiny! We had an Ocean view room and were pleased. It was just enough. We are not sure of the age of the ship, but can tell it is a few decades old. However it is still a good ship and it is a good ship for a four day cruise. Ship QualityThe ship has plenty of room and space for fun, sun, and games. Dining/Food

Ship Staff QualityMost of the staff was happy and willing to help, however some seemed burnt out, and possiblly needed a break. Entertainment & Activities

Ensenada, MexicoThe port was ok. But the Quad ATV Tour we took through Extreme Tour Baja, was Awesome. They have an excellent facility, new Quads, and keep their operation super clean.
Catalina Island, CaliforniaOverall it was Beautiful! However the Kayak Excursion was overpriced. You can actually do more Kayak by not booking the event through the ship's concierge. Go to the same Kayak company though. They have a better location and Kayak trial.
However you should book through the ship's concierge when choosing what to do in Ensenada Mexico. It is to much of a risk not to.

  It was almost excellent by
Cesar O. from San Francisco Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: The hospitality of every crew from cabin steward, dining attendant and to final embarkment - this crew are great and hard worker. Cons: The beverage cost and the cost of the shore trip as well as souvenir cost. This was my first cruise and would like to experience the feeling of being in the cruise and exeprience all the activities they have to offer. I will say the Paradise met some of my expectation. The quality of the food is good but can be improve a bit more. The cost of the beverage (bar drinks) is a bit high. As far as the entertainment overall it was good, except the comedy shows rated R gets to be out of hand with too much racist jokes. The live band of TRIOS that plays disco, soft rock and classic is great as well the solo guitar player. What makes this cruise really great and excellent are the excellent workers - they make things happen - their hard work what makes it really worth to sail and have fun. From cabin steward to every worker in the dining room are great. The Duty Free are also awesome especially for me I love collecting Cognac. I will say for the money I paid for this cruise its worth it - but can be improved. It was a good experienced for me and my family. Ship Quality

  Do not cruise Carnival by
Tom D from Chicago, Il Sailing date: May 2009Pros: Catalina Island Cons: Service The Carnival Cruise that I recently embarked on was not a very pleasant experience. The Ship (Paradise) seemed as if it was in very poor condition and a pipe flooded many state rooms and a main dining room, also causing the main outdoor pool to drain for most of the cruise. Additionally, My room was flooded the first day, which ruined my camera and other personal effects. After 2 complaints on the first and second day, they came to my room on the final night to downgrade my room. I was told I would be reimbursed and found that they ended up giving me a $16 credit. Last but not least, the mold smell in the room got many onboard sick and when we went to the infirmary to get taken care of, they told us the insurance that we purchased wasn't valid.
I will never cruise with carnival again no matter how cheap the price is. Cruises are usually used for vacation and its not worth the stress of the poor management of Carnival while your trying to get away. Ship QualitySmaller ship, not very clean and it flooded while I was cruising. Dining/FoodThe food in the main dining room was fair. The food in the cafeteria was prison grade. Stateroom Quality

Catalina Island, CaliforniaCatalina Island is a beautifal place. I rented a boat and did the semi submersible submarine tour, both were pretty neat. I would also recommend renting a golf cart to see the whole city while your there.

Our group could do their own thing Cons: Having only one port of call We were very pleased with our cruise vacation. This was our first cruise so we didn't really know what to expect, but we had an enjoyable time. The food was great, the entertainment was great. The variety of things to do on the ship was good. The staff was helpful and friendly. We will definitely be taking another cruise in the future. Ship Quality
