 Great Honeymoon by
A Traveler from Cleveleland Ohio Sailing date: May 2013Pros: Itinerary Cons: Small outdated room Overall the cruise was great. I loved the itinerary and the service and staff were excellent. Ship was very clean and well maintained. Entertainment was a little too racey at times for younger kids, girls showed too much skin. Ship Quality

I'll trade for spa consultation services by
A Traveler from Idaho Falls, ID Sailing date: Apr 2013Pros: Stewards, ports, entertainment, waiters Cons: communication, guest services organization, spa, layout, food was so, so I mostly enjoyed our cruise, but the communication regarding accounts, IDs, and spa services was not good. Our waiters and stewards were wonderful and very attentive. The entertainment was fun and the ship was clean. There were a lot of mistakes with our sign and sail accounts and the spa set up was horrible. It took a lot of our time away from us to deal with and correct (multiple times) the mistakes. Ship QualityThe ship was nice and clean but the layout with the spa being under the kids club was ridiculous. Dining/FoodA little variety at the buffet would have been nice- same things every day. The evening meals were mostly good but could have been better quality. Stateroom QualityRoom was clean and well-maintained. Enjoyed having the balcony. Ship Staff QualityVery much enjoyed the staff. Very friendly and attentive. (Thanks Gede!) Entertainment & ActivitiesEnjoyed most of the entertainment. There was a good variety. Hint: "Adult" comedy does not have to be riddled with the F word and offensive to be funny. Children's ProgramsThe older kids club (O2) needs better activities and more engaging directors. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  A very fun cruise by
Anna S. from Long Island, New York Sailing date: Jan 2013Pros: The staff of the ship! Cons: The food The ship has been maintained very well and staff is constantly cleaning, and it really makes the experience that much better. The drinks were not overpriced at all in fact my room bill at the end of the week was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be for three 24 year olds. The staff was unbelievable, the entertainment, wait staff as well as housekeeping and room stewards. Anything you needed was done in minutes. I was hesitant to do Carnival because I have been on both Norweigan as well as Royal Caribbean, but the ship turned out to be really nice, and a lot of fun. Very good atmosphere. One downfall was the food was not nearly as good as I though it would be. Nothing really wowed me. Ship QualityVery clean, nice size not too big not too small. Dining/Food

  A wonderful cruise by
Beth C. from Colbert, Ga Sailing date: Dec 2012Pros: The shows Cons: The distance of the beverage locations. You had to go into an inside dining area to get ice, water, tea, coffee. The pools were well laid out and We enjoyed all the adult areas. We had plenty of choices for entertainment at different locations nightly..live bands, singing at the main lobby, a piano bar, karaoke, the comedy club. We were drawn back to the piano bar again and again. The guy was exceptional! The bingo hostess was fun and entertaining. The food was great. Our cabin steward did a great job. The crew was always helpful when needed. There was all sorts of choices of entertainment daily, from the time you got up to the wee hours of the morning. I would cruise again tomorrow if I could. I look forward to our next cruise. I would greatly enjoy a cruise on the Valor again. Ship Quality

Carnival lived up to it's reputation. by
Hank N from United States Sailing date: Dec 2012Pros: FUN, FUN, FUN Cons: TO LOUD and a bit smokey in the Casino.... A great cruise on a great ship with great food and a wonderful cruise. Ship QualityValor was clean, well maintained and exactly as expected. Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityStaff was wonderful and tried to call guests by name. Entertainment & ActivitiesThis could have had a 4 or 5 star rating but.... the volume was so loud in shows that it was painful. Sometimes we could not hear performers over the sound system. AND the PA system was so loud we could not hear the words being spoken. GET A DECIBEL METER! I think that your sound technicians may be hearing impaired. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  I have had better by
Kevin B from Chicago, IL Sailing date: Oct 2012Pros: captain kept us out of the way of the hurricance Cons: i would have like to see another "Dance" bar that doesn't just play hard core gangster rap. I didn't like that many of the shows overlapped making it impossible to attend both. More comedians less magic shows. Ship QualityThe layout sucked! I can't count the number of times we had to go up or down a flight of stairs and then back up again to get where we wanted to go. Dining/FoodFood was good the service was poor. I had to wait 2 hours for a sit down breakfast service. Dinner and breakfast servers need help or training. Stateroom Quality

  A Dissapointing Getaway by
NanG from NewJersey Sailing date: Sep 2012Pros: Our balcony room was great, especially listening to the water at night. Cons: Our unenthusiastic waiter contributed to our poor dining experiences. We like cruising and have been on several Carnival Cruises. Unfortunately this cruise was a dissapointment. I suppoose the economy is even having an effect on cruiselines. Captains cocktail party is now a$1.00 off drinks. Asking for a large table in diningroom to meet others became tables of 4 wherein 1 couple per each table. When moved 1 seat over to join couple to our right(they too wanted to sit at a large table) we were scolded. Dining staff not very accomodating. Also ports of call were a disappointment. Ship ported in Montego Bay Jamaica and excursions were in Ochos rios - 1 1/2 hours away, leaving us little time at port. Ship QualityShip was kept clean, although a woman we met who used a wheelchair said there wasn't alot of things for her to do; even the bingo she couldn't get cards because they didn't come around in the lounge, you had to go to them. Dining/FoodDining room food was below average and wait staff was unaccomodating. The way the diningroom was designed when the waiters did their routines it was done in the center which is blocked off to view. Stateroom QualityEnjoyed our first balcony room and our stateroom attendants was the only friendly staff we encountered. Ship Staff QualityNo one stood out or went above and beyond. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe karoake entertainment was alot of fun. Options at night were limited. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  Great ports of call! by
White, L. from Indiana Sailing date: Jun 2012Pros: The ports of call. . . they were fantastic! Cons: The food, ship ammenities. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the ship. I was expecting a bit more, as the pictures I viewed had many more ammenities than what this particular ship had. i.e. Waterworks. I thought there would be several different options, i.e. bucket of water, water spouts, etc. There was one water slide that didn't even empty into the pool. It just abruptly stopped. Staff began locking away deck chairs at 6:30 in the evening, very disappointing!!!! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodI'm used to cruising with Royal Carribbean and my experience with that line is much better than with Carnival. This was my first experience with Carnival and I would not return. Stateroom QualityThe staterooms, for the money paid, were nice. Cabin steward did an excellent job! Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesI felt the entertainment was below average, compared to what I have experienced on other ships not associated with Carnival. Children's Programs

Not all we had hoped for! by
Janise H. from Oakdale, TN Sailing date: May 2012Pros: Formal Dinners Cons: Not getting to go to the Grand Cayman due to weather, or any other port as a subsitute My only problem with the entire experience was the lack of an alternant port when we were unable to go to the Grand Cayman Islands. We were forced to spend a boring day at sea. Ship Quality
