More fun than words can say!!!! by
Garah P from Denver, CO Sailing date: Nov 2012Pros: Food, people, excursions... Cons: Too short :( It was beautiful & easy to get around. If you had any troubles there were always people to point you in the right direction. Ship QualityIt was big beautiful & clean. I couldn't believe how clean it was & what it must take to keep it that way. Dining/FoodThe food was delicious & even when it was really late we could always get pizza & after 11 the grill opeend up again for hot dogs & hamburgers. Stateroom QualityIt was really clean. I came back one day in the middle of a cleaning to find the couch turned up & thought, WOW! That is how they keep it so clean!!! :) The bed was SO comfortable. I haven't slept this good in a long time. Ship Staff QualityEveryone was helpful & friendly. We got extra entrees at dinner w/ no problem. I don't think one request was ever denied. Entertainment & ActivitiesIt was ok. The magic show was pretty lame. But the music revues were stellar. Great singer & songs! Flashy! Fun! Children's ProgramsWe don't have kids but they had great activities for them & there seemed to be plenty to keep them busy. There weren't tons of kids on the ship. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

The "Valor" is an Amazing Ship! by
Robert M from Warren, OH Sailing date: Oct 2012Pros: The size makes for smoother travel in rough waters and offers roomy quarters. Cons: I have no cons to speak of. The entire voyage was just perfect! The layout and quality of the decor makes the Valor a stunning vessel. Ship QualityThe layout makes it hard to imagine you are sharing the ride with 3,000 neighbors. No congestion or long lines with so much spread out over such a large area. Dining/FoodNo matter if we dined in the restaurants of in the many buffet lines, the food was always fresh, tasty, and plentiful! Stateroom QualityThe stateroom offered more than enough room for luggage storage and for settling in for 8 days. We actually had drawyer and closet space to spare! Ship Staff QualityFrom cleaning staff, waiters & waitresses, hostesses, to customer service, it is obvious that everyone truly wants you to enjoy your vacation to the max. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe entertainment was fun to watch. We are not bingo players so it would be nice to have other options for group activities during those times. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Best Cruise Ever! by
Anthony S. from Petersburg, VA Sailing date: Sep 2012Pros: Everything, Ports of Call, On-board entertainment, food, room service Cons: smoking in the casino The overall layout of the ship was impressive. Ship QualityAfter a few days, we were comfortable with manuvering around and did not get too lost. Love the amenities of the gym. Would definitely cruise again. Dining/FoodI liked the convenience of open dining. We were not always hungry at the typical dinner hour. The a la carte dining was on point! Stateroom QualityPerfect! Ship Staff QualityOur steward was always helpful, friendly and polite. He made I trip much more pleasurable. I looked forward to my towel animals each night. Entertainment & ActivitiesAlways something to do. Never a dull moment (unless you wanted it that way). 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Excellent Honeymoon Cruise! by
Brian Z. from Colorado Springs, CO Sailing date: Sep 2012Pros: The food, events on the ship, excursions, the room, everything! Cons: The cost of the booze on the ship - which was expected This was my first cruise and I really enjoyed our trip. I thought there were plenty of activites, the staff was very nice and helpful, and the food was much better than I was expecting. I would definitely cruise with Carnival again. We also wne on our cruise in September and were concerned about hurricanes/storms, but has no issues at all. In fact, since it is considering their "off-season" there were less people at port and on the excursions, which was very nice! Ship QualityI was amazed at how often I saw people cleaning the ship. All restrooms in the public areas were always very clean as well. Dining/FoodThere was always somewhere to eat and the food exceeding my expectations. We especially enjoyed the sushi bar which was a great "snack" between lunch and dinner. Stateroom QualityWe had a suite, so my rating is based off of that. But the suite was very spacious. Ship Staff QualityEveryone was very happy and friendly. Entertainment & Activitiesloved getting the nightly newsletter that would tell the next days activities. It was great to be able to see what was going on and to plan out activities for the next day. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  A great Trip by
A Traveler from Erie, PA Sailing date: Apr 2012Pros: The ship staff-very friendly Cons: The breakfast buffet in the Lido room My wife and I had a great vacation. The ship has an excellent crew that looks after your every need. Ship QualityThe ship was very clean and kept that way by a hard wofking staff. Dining/FoodThe dining times were fine for our needs. our only complaint was the quality of the scrambled eggs and "orange" juice in the Lido room for the Buffet and the time it took to get an omelete. After 2 days we dined in the Washington dining room were the food was good and the atmoshphere was relaxed versus a buffet line. Stateroom QualityWe liked our balcony room for size and comfort. Ship Staff QualityVery friendly and always working to please. Entertainment & ActivitiesGood variety of shows-however on 2 nights there were no 8:30pm after dinner shows offered only the 10:30pm shows which we skipped since we are early to bed and early to rise. 0 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

It was the best cruise I've gone on by
Siu Kheng Ung Lee from Tigard, OR Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: Entertainment, food, services Cons: Guest services. The line was always too long and it takes forever to get help. I like everything about the cruise. If I can change one thing, I would add more people to serve guests when the guest service line getting too long. Use the Excursion area as another alternative to eliminate wait line when guest services get too long. Ship Quality

We had so much FUN! by
Allen R from Arkansas Sailing date: Jun 2010Pros: excellent service, 4 countries in 7 days, great food, plenty of great entertainment My wife and I recently vacationed aboard the Carnival Valor. Our seven night cruise stopped in Grand Cayman, Honduras, Belize, and Mexico. This was our second cruise with Carnival, and because we enjoyed the first one so much, we had high expectations for this cruise as well. We werent disappointed. It was a fantastic experience.
The service on board the ship is probably the best part. We had a fabulous time on the cruise both on and off the ship. If you are hesitant about taking a cruise, its likely because you havent tried it. For my money, its the best value of a vacation experience that you can have.
Ship QualityAt times I questioned the layout of the ship. You often have to go up or down several floors to go from one end of the ship to the other. And, the decor is a bit of a hot-mess in my opinion. It's a patriotic theme (U.S.) and it features a lot of plastic gold eagles, president's faces, stars and stripes, etc... This, coupled with the casino-like carpet, were a little odd to me. My wife described it as looking like Memorial Day threw up on the ship. However, the ship was in good working condition and always very clean. Dining/FoodWe had dozens of choices for every meal. The buffet style meals on one of the top decks provided a fairly good quality meal starting with breakfast and ending with a late night buffet. You can choose from a deli line, a burrito bar, pizza by the slice, 24-hour ice-cream, burgers and hotdogs, or dozens of international offerings. Everything I tasted was pretty decent on the level of a meal at Dennys, Lubys, Applebees, or some other casual dining restaurant. However, the food offered in the main dining room was absolutely excellent! Everything I had in there was way above average, and could rival meals at many of the nicer restaurants that I have been to. The dining room staff was very attentive and efficient, and provided service that would rival most upscale restaurants. (They also perform for you in the dining room at dinner time singing and dancing.) Stateroom QualityOur stateroom was always perfect. It was serviced during the day when we were out having fun in the sun, and then turndown service was provided while we were at dinner. We never even saw the staff members that serviced our cabin. It was almost like the room magically cleaned itself every time we left for a few minutes. Ship Staff QualityThe service on board the ship is probably the best part. As on many cruise ships, the staff was a menagerie of dozens of nationalities. I loved hearing all the different accents and seeing where they were from (its printed on their nametag). Everyone was extremely polite and helpful. Many remembered our names and used them by the second day of the cruise. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe entertainment was very good. The ship offers a main attraction every evening such as a musical show, comedian, magician, or even a juggler. The Carnival singers and dancers were all good, and a few noticeably stood out as extremely talented. The shows were great. We watched the main show every evening and I enjoyed them all immensely. If youre expecting a Broadway show, 1) you shouldnt expect that and 2) it will not be that caliber of a performance, but it was way better than any show you would find in a theme park or local venue. In addition to the show, there is always something going on around the ship. If you get bored, its your own fault. There are plenty of opportunities for entertainment.
