Great Honeymoon
by A Traveler from Cleveleland Ohio
Sailing date:
May 2013
Pros:
Itinerary
Cons:
Small outdated room
Overall the cruise was great. I loved the itinerary and the service and staff were excellent. Ship was very clean and well maintained. Entertainment was a little too racey at times for younger kids, girls showed too much skin.

I'll trade for spa consultation services
by A Traveler from Idaho Falls, ID
Sailing date:
Apr 2013
Pros:
Stewards, ports, entertainment, waiters
Cons:
communication, guest services organization, spa, layout, food was so, so
I mostly enjoyed our cruise, but the communication regarding accounts, IDs, and spa services was not good. Our waiters and stewards were wonderful and very attentive. The entertainment was fun and the ship was clean. There were a lot of mistakes with our sign and sail accounts and the spa set up was horrible. It took a lot of our time away from us to deal with and correct (multiple times) the mistakes.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was nice and clean but the layout with the spa being under the kids club was ridiculous.
Dining/Food
A little variety at the buffet would have been nice- same things every day. The evening meals were mostly good but could have been better quality.
Stateroom Quality
Room was clean and well-maintained. Enjoyed having the balcony.
Ship Staff Quality
Very much enjoyed the staff. Very friendly and attentive. (Thanks Gede!)
Entertainment & Activities
Enjoyed most of the entertainment. There was a good variety. Hint: "Adult" comedy does not have to be riddled with the F word and offensive to be funny.
Children's Programs
The older kids club (O2) needs better activities and more engaging directors.

Pros:
the places we went and the friendly staff.
Cons:
that the cruise was not longer
The staff was so courteous and professional. They were so many fun things to do.. We had enough time at each place to enjoy the experience of the islands. The rooms were very nice.

A wonderful cruise!
by Daphne C. from Burnsville, Minnesota
Sailing date:
Feb 2013
Pros:
The crew as great! The ship was beautiful!
Cons:
There really was nothing we didn't dislike about this cruise.
This was our second cruise with Carnival. Our first was on the Glory and this one was on the Valor. The Valor was just as great as the Glory. Each area is dedicated to famous people of the past and the decor is beautiful. We ate in the steakhouse while on board and you just can't get that kind of service or quality of food at that price anywhere on land! We were on the Valor for 7 days and we still were unable to see everything it has to offer. The pools and hot tubs are really nice and well maintained by the crew. The food at the buffet is great, and in the evening, the main dining rooms are a wonderful way of getting to sit with and meet fellow passengers while you eat dinner. The service you get there is wonderful! Our cabin stewards were great as well. They always remembered our names and were always there when we needed something. They never got in our way and were very friendly. We had a great cruise and everything went smoothly from start to finish.

Could not have asked for a better crew! They were all wonderful! In the Lincoln Dining Room we loved Milka so much we gave her an extra tip for the excellent service she gave us!
Entertainment & Activities
The shows were awesome! We loved every one of them!

A very fun cruise
by Anna S. from Long Island, New York
Sailing date:
Jan 2013
Pros:
The staff of the ship!
Cons:
The food
The ship has been maintained very well and staff is constantly cleaning, and it really makes the experience that much better. The drinks were not overpriced at all in fact my room bill at the end of the week was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be for three 24 year olds. The staff was unbelievable, the entertainment, wait staff as well as housekeeping and room stewards. Anything you needed was done in minutes. I was hesitant to do Carnival because I have been on both Norweigan as well as Royal Caribbean, but the ship turned out to be really nice, and a lot of fun. Very good atmosphere. One downfall was the food was not nearly as good as I though it would be. Nothing really wowed me.

NOT THE CRUISE SHIP YOU WANT
by A Traveler from windsor canada
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
PORT OF CALLS AND WEATHER
Cons:
SERVICE - the ship design..
If your looking to get away and ignore service - this is the cruise for you.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
It was impossible to figure out which elevator or staircase to use to get to a certain destination. I've been on other cruise ships before. Even on the 7th day I couldn't get it right.
Dining/Food
If you have kids good luck.. they served 2 out of the 4 kids at the same time. It also takes on average 2 hours to be served so request early dining. One last thing - expect not to get what you ordered
Stateroom Quality
just be sure to know where the crew members hang out after hours. our stateroom was on deck 1... deck 0 is were the crew memebers partied - complain and guest services will tell you there are no scheduled events...hmmm
Ship Staff Quality
i've been on other cruise lines and the staff on the ship was horrible
Entertainment & Activities
Children's Programs
if they say presents for the kids.. they should give out presents

Vacation of a lifetime!
by Crystal S. from Wilmington, NC
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
The destinations were great and the excursions were wonderful, but the crew made each day so pleasant--it was fantastic!
Cons:
Getting there from the airport on bus 5507--the driver was terrible!
The ship was very clean and very well kept. I was not an overall fan of the color scheme but that is a personal choice.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was very well organized and easy to navigate. One day onboard and you could pretty well find your way around.
Dining/Food
The food was excellent and the choices were from the every day burger and pizza to the best of the best! WONDERFUL! And the care and attention given by the dining and wait staff, particularly Yolanda in the Washington Dining Room--EXCELLENT!
Stateroom Quality
We were blown away by the stateroom that we had. It was perfectly appointed and had a wonderful full window view. The only thing we had to work on was the bedding. It was a bit hard but one call and we were able to get an additional mattress pad. All was well after that.
Ship Staff Quality
Bar none, they were delightful people! Caring and genuine, they sincerely wanted to ensure that all were having a great time.
Entertainment & Activities
If you were bored or unable to find something to do on this ship--it was your own fault! There were activities and seminars, shows and something going on at all times.

A wonderful cruise
by Beth C. from Colbert, Ga
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
The shows
Cons:
The distance of the beverage locations. You had to go into an inside dining area to get ice, water, tea, coffee.
The pools were well laid out and We enjoyed all the adult areas. We had plenty of choices for entertainment at different locations nightly..live bands, singing at the main lobby, a piano bar, karaoke, the comedy club. We were drawn back to the piano bar again and again. The guy was exceptional! The bingo hostess was fun and entertaining. The food was great. Our cabin steward did a great job. The crew was always helpful when needed. There was all sorts of choices of entertainment daily, from the time you got up to the wee hours of the morning. I would cruise again tomorrow if I could. I look forward to our next cruise. I would greatly enjoy a cruise on the Valor again.

Carnival lived up to it's reputation.
by Hank N from United States
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
FUN, FUN, FUN
Cons:
TO LOUD and a bit smokey in the Casino....
A great cruise on a great ship with great food and a wonderful cruise.

Staff was wonderful and tried to call guests by name.
Entertainment & Activities
This could have had a 4 or 5 star rating but.... the volume was so loud in shows that it was painful. Sometimes we could not hear performers over the sound system. AND the PA system was so loud we could not hear the words being spoken. GET A DECIBEL METER! I think that your sound technicians may be hearing impaired.
