The private Island is great. by
Pam V. from Monroe, Ga. Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Half Moon Cay is the best part of the cruise. Cons: There were not enough activities for the days at sea. Plus, the food could use improvement. The ship could use some improvements as far as the musky smells in the halls. It is my understanding that they will be refurbishing the ship soon. The beds are nice and the workers on the ship were great. The casino was not giving out any money though. The shows were wonderful. If you need a relaxing time away this was a good vacation to go on. Ship QualityThe ship was clean. However, there was a musty smell in the halls. They do have some problems in the public bathrooms with the toilets running over. Dining/FoodThe food could use some improvement as compared to some other ships I have been on. I got tired of hambugers which they tend to serve all the time. They only have two resturants the formal dining and the pool dining. They do have a free sushi bar though which was great. Stateroom QualityThe rooms were confortable. There was lots of closet space and the beds were very confortable. The bath was just the right size. Ship Staff QualityAll the workers were great. They were friendly and did the best they could to make you happy. Entertainment & Activities

  An amazing cruise! by
Michelle M. from Dalton, GA Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The whole experience. Cons: Did so much we were exhausted....our fault! Great cruise for first-timers. Our cabin steward Bernard was the best! Not only did he remember our names and greet us everytime he saw us but he surprised us with a different towel animal everyday. So much to do on the ship we never lacked for fun and adventure. Ports of call were great...especially Half Moon Cay. I have never seen any place so beautiful! Nassau was alot of fun but beware of the tour offers from the locals when you first come off the ship. Go inside the welcome building and do your own thing cheaper than what the tour people offer. Food was excellent and cruise staff was the best. Shows were very good with many talented performers. Comedian was halarious. Photo's were very expensive and not really that good.....ended up spending over $100 for them anyway. Overall it was an excellent experience and will do it again. Dining/FoodFood at dinner in the main dining rooms was 5 star! Have the lobster tail and the chocolate molten cake. YUMMMY! Stateroom QualityVery comfortable room. Ship Staff QualityCould not askfor a more qualfied and friendly staff! Entertainment & ActivitiesSo much to do! 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

  Fantastic cruise by
Donna O. from United States Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: endless food, entertainment and views Cons: waiting to get off ship when cruise was over We were blown away by everything that they put on a cruise ship. This was our first cruise and we will definitely go again. Our room was always clean and stocked with clean linens and towels. We had our two sons with us ages 12 and 14, when they got up in the morning they went and ate and then we never saw them again until lunch. There was endless food for 24 hours and it was fantastic. So much too keep the kids busy that by the time they made it back to our cabin they were ready too sleep. The cruise director was great and had so much information for us when we would port. The price was great. We could have never taken a family of 5 on a vacation and got so much food and entertainment anywhere else. I truly recommend taking a cruise to anyone that is unsure. You rarely feel the ship move. It was simply great. Ship QualityEverything was always so clean. Dining/FoodVery good food all the time. Whenever you get hungry you can always go and have a good full meal. Stateroom QualityI chose the cheapest room to save some money and it was a very nice room, but next time I will upgrade to a suite if my children are going to be with us. The stateroom is small but we managed to get a good night sleep everynight. Ship Staff QualityEveryone that we came in contact with was very pleasant and able to answer any question that we had. Entertainment & ActivitiesSo many activities that you had to chose what you wanted to do that day/evening. We were given a paper everyday of the next days activities. Children's ProgramsThey had so much to keep the kids entertained it that's what they wanted. If my kids didn't want to do any activity then the entertained themselves with swimming, golf, basketball or pingpong.

It was the best vacation by
Nancy E from Pennsylvania Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: Dining and Entertainment Cons: need a bigger pool just for adults This was our first time cruising. We were really impressed with everything. However, if you do not make your dining sitting time and want to sit in on the late dinner, don't bother asking you may as well just go down to the buffet area. Staff acted like it was an inconvience, but the only one that did make us feel like we weren't intrudding was Peter. He did find a table we could sit at that wasn't taken by the 8:00 sitting guests. The waitress Anna, the first thing out of her was who is your regular waiter, not how are you or anything. Other than that everything else the staff was wonderful. Ship Quality

  Great Experience by
Vinayak G from Atlanta GA Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Quality of food, service Cons: Drinking water was not very good. We ended up spending money buying bottled watter. ($4 per bottle) We had great experience in our first cruise.
The food was the highlight. The room stateroom) was nice and very well maintained.
All in all I would go on cruise with carnival again. Ship QualityMedium size cruise ship. In good condition. Some public areas were closed due to cleaning/ repair. They have three elevator zones but were busy. The decks were clean and very well maintained otherwise. Dining/FoodExcellent! The dine-in was beyond expectations. The buffet areas were crowded. If there is anything they can improve in dining area is supply good quality drinking water. Stateroom QualityVery good. Comfortable beds, TV, decent sized bathroom and in-room safe box. Ship Staff QualityStaff was very friendly, always smiling and willing to help. Entertainment & ActivitiesPool was too crowded. They should have separate kids and adult areas in the pool section.

Key West, FloridaDecent town. You can walk around or rent scooter or golf cart. The place has character.
Don't Miss: walk around and shopping. There is a nice museum across from the pier. Nassau, BahamasWe took historic tour of the Nassau. This is a complete waste of money. ($29/person). The tour guide was not interested and there was not much to show. Their main attraction was a water tank that supplies water to Nassau. We have a larger one in our subdivision.
Nassau is the most hyped place. Beaches in Florida panhandle (Ft Walton/ Destin) are far more nicer.
We did not go to the Atlantis which was recommended.
Don't Miss: Straw market, if you like bargain shopping. 1 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

Cruising Key West & Nassau Bahamas by
Kristi B from Oklahoma Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: Karoke Bar was great! Trevor was great! Our waiter (SZOLT) was great too! Cons: Buffetts - need more variety....change it up a bit. The ART auction was a joke! The Fascination is not as nice as the Conquest. The service was slow and some are not too friendly. We asked our steward for some extra glasses and he told us to call room service. It seemed all they wanted was our money, money, money. $20 for 1 game of BINGO...not worth it. Conquest would at least play several games of bingo on 1 card. The evening shows were average. The girl singer was FANTASTIC. The boy singer not so good. The dancers were so so. The afternoon people that bus the tables in the buffet areas stood around and talked instead of cleaning tables. When they did, they didn't always wipe down the tables. The standup comedy was great! Key West, FloridaWe went on our own. Did not book an excursion. People were very friendly and seemed glad to see tourist. Hard Rock Cafe was our favorite. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable. We got there before they opened. A little fellow came out and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We sat on the veranda and drank iced tea before they even opened.
Don't Miss: Hard Rock Cafe, museum with all the statues, and just walking about town. Nassau, BahamasWe waited a good while before we were allowed into the customs area. It was extremely hot. The drive to Atlantis was nice and very convenient. I enjoyed with beach there and the underground aquariums. The people there were very friendly. I did not like the vendors hassling you on the beach. The little guy that put our umbrella up was nice but the cost to rent it was outragous! ($30.00) A mixed drink was $10.50 and it was watered down by the time it got back to us. But overall, Atlantis is something to see.

  What a trip! by
Pat S. from Covington, GA Sailing date: May 2009Pros: Fantastic weather, smooth seas! Cons: Nothing! The ship was older, but this was a "plus" in my opinion. I couldn't believe the insulation between cabins compaired to others I have been on. Only negative was you can't walk totally around the top of the ship without going up to down stairs. Other than that, everything was great! Ship QualityVery clean, only negative i have was not enough balconys and could not walk around top of deck without going up or down stairs. Dining/FoodFantastic food - best I've had on any ship! Stateroom QualityRooms seemed a little larger than most - could actually walk around a King! Ship Staff Quality

Key West, FloridaWe rented a convertable and toured the island. Great history and sites. Ate lunch at Blue Fish/ Red Fish. Fantastic boiled shrimp! Very reasonable and Good food! Just didn't get to stay long enough - would like to trade time with time spent in Nassau.
Nassau, BahamasBahamas was a little dirty, except for Paradise Island. Excursions have gone up since last trip - so we went on our own.
Don't Miss: Could skip this port. 4 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
