I've never felt more taken care of while on vacation as I did on the Disney Dream! Hakuna Matata would sum it up! My family and I felt like royalty; every need and want was met!

Best Family Vacation EVER!
by A Traveler from atlanta, ga
Sailing date:
Sep 2011
Pros:
Every thing Disney
Cons:
zero
Ship was very clean, colorful, well run- just like you would expect from Disney. The dining rooms, activities, shows were all well done and kept us highly entertained.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Dining/Food
The food was good- nothing super, but we didn't eat in any of the adult only places. The dining rooms, esp. Animator's Palate was so entertaining!
Stateroom Quality
So much room, great ideas with under bed storage, hooks, split bathroom, 2 closets!
Ship Staff Quality
When we came on board after a huge down pour, Disney folks were waiting with dry, warm towels while we were in Nassua. Fabulous@
Entertainment & Activities
My husband said that the Disney Believe show was probably the best show he's ever seen- for any type of show. Wonderful isn't enough to describe it!
Children's Programs
Our daughter enjoyed her brief stay. She's pretty shy, so she wasn't ready to be in there without someone she knew. But, all the kids seemed to be having fun and the staff looked happy and patient!

Best cruise yet
by A Traveler from Philadelphia, PA
Sailing date:
Sep 2011
Pros:
Ease of everything (thank you disney) and availability/options for food
Cons:
Some aspect of ship operations caused vibrating of bed, most notable when arriving or departing from ports. Not terrible shaking but was an inconvenience
Huge ship. Extremely well maintained. Pretty easy to navigate without a map (good signage all around).

A much more mellow environment with plenty to do. Wish we were there for 2 days instead of one
Nassau, Bahamas
Skipped shopping. Spent time at Atlantis. "Public" beach that you are allowed to go to on Atlatnis property is nice but locals will pester you every 5 minutes with drinks, clothing accesories, and jet ski rides.

Fabulous Ship
by Toria's Mom from Merritt Island, FL
Sailing date:
May 2011
Pros:
Beautiful stateroom, lots of activities for both kids and adults, ease of excursions
Cons:
Inconsistency of food, difficulty with few servers
The new Disney Dream really is a dream!! It's a beautiful ship with wonderful activities for all...lots of choices for both kids and adults. My daughter loved the tween club and the pool and AquaDuck was a real winner, although the line wasn't fun! Even the port excursions were made easier by the staff and crew. However, some of the food was less than stellar quality and one or two servers seemed too rushed to give much attention. In fairness, most were at the end of their six month commitment without a day off the entire time, so I'm not sure I blame them. Clearly, Disney puts their money into families, so if you have younger children, definitely consider a Disney cruise! Worth the $$$
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Breathtaking! Could hardly tell the ship was moving most of the time.
Dining/Food
Had wonderful food, at other times, was very disappointed. Many choices for kids, however.
Stateroom Quality
Absolutely spectacular! Slept like baby.
Ship Staff Quality
Most were exceptional, only a few exeptions. I think Disney needs to work out a day off now and then.
Entertainment & Activities
Didn't miss the casinos one bit!
Children's Programs
The best! Untouched by any other cruise line..

Make sure you snorkle and get some ribs at lunch time!! Reapply sunscreen more than you think you need, sun is very strong.
Don't Miss:
Biking...do it early after docking then go for a swim in the beautiful waters. Too hot any other way!
Nassau, Bahamas
Make sure you bargain at the Straw Market. The Conch Fritter behind the Market and next to the Hilton has a great grouper sandwich, but $$$

Great cruise and ship
by A Traveler from Farmingdale, NY
Sailing date:
Feb 2011
Pros:
everything, lots to do, great service
The Ship was great! Our room felt larger then I thought it would as well as the shower. The service was excellent in at meals and in our room. Disney thought of almost everything with Castaway Cay. Lots of water activities, plenty of lounge chairs and , food and the tram was helpful. The restaurants were very good (the portions were a little small but you could order 2 if you wanted). It was sometimes hard to get a lounge on the pool deck.
