Wow. A different incredible experience. by
A Traveler from VA Sailing date: Feb 2010Pros: Variety of things to see, do and experience.. Size. Cons: Need more vegeterian fare. Big, beautiful and incredible. It is such a incorporation of so many great ideas. Types of shows and the entertainment that they bring. The Aqua show to the Musicals and everything in between. The diversity of the dining experience's are a great concept and add to the overall enjoyment. The fitness center is great. The activities are neverending. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodNeeded more vegetarian fare outside of paid dining venues. Only place to get a vegeburger was at Johnny Rockets which had a cover charge to get in. Need trays to carry food. Hard to juggle silverware, several plates and drink at same time. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualitySeemed shortstaffed at the Windjammer cafe. Wife is handicapped and no one came to help her get food. Tough without a tray. Multiple trips to food islands to get what she needed. Would nave been nice for a little help. Entertainment & Activities

  Amazing Oasis by
Conrad A. from San Juan, PR Sailing date: Mar 2010Pros: Beautiful ship with lots of things to do, not a dull moment, great shows. Cons: The food quality not great The sports activities, pools, shows and different "neighborhoods" on board were unbelievable. The best cruise ship on the seven seas...... Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe variety and quality of the food was average, not as good as Celebrity or Princess. Stateroom Quality

Thoughts on our recent cruise. by
Joseph C. from St. Augustine, FL Sailing date: May 2010Pros: Central Park - Lots of restaurants. Cons: Charges to use sauna facilities. Beautiful ship. Particularly liked Park Cafe for lunch. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodWe have been on many Royal Caribbean cruises. On this cruise, the food at dinner was good, but the quality of the food has deteriorated over the many cruises we have taken. Stateroom QualityWe reserved a category FO stateroom and were surprised and disappointed to find the layout had changed. The stateroom on this cruise did not provide the privacy for adults found on other RCC ships in the category FO. Ship Staff Quality

  Super ship by
A Traveler from Colorado Sailing date: Dec 2011Pros: Lots of space, wonderful friendly staff Cons: Ports too commercialized There is so much to do on this ship. However we never felt crowded, even though there are over 6000 passengers. Super friendly staff, and the accomodations are clean and new. The entertainment was great, though you need to make reservations to get in.The ports are too commercialized in my view. The Labadee haiti stop is a 3 star beach. The Cozumel and Jamaica stops are mostly for shopping. However, if you book other excursions, you can get away from the commercialization. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodGreat selection, but not outstanding quality. Stateroom Quality

NO other cruise tops RCCL's OASIS by
James A. from Staten Island, NY Sailing date: Oct 2011Pros: food, service, activities, shore excursions, pool, cabin, nightlife Just got back from the RCCL's Oasis of the Seas 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise. I must say that it was a perfect vacation in almost every way. Besides the sheer size of the ship (it's the largest cruise ship in the world), every facet of the vacation was perfection. From the amazing food, the helpful and friendly staff, the wonderful activities, the amazing nightlife and activities and everything in between, I would highly recommend taking a cruise with Royal Caribbean anyday. Oasis - Eastern Carib - Great Cruise by
MN girl from MN Sailing date: Apr 2012Pros: The quality of staff, ship in general Cons: Casino, tips on top of tips, Extra spending everywhere This was a high quality ship with lots to offer. Don't worry about finding stuff to do on the ship - computerized tvs are everywhere & you push a button & it gives you options - from what to do & where to eat. Don't bother with casino - so little bonuses/payouts that everyone was DISGUSTED. Took fun right out of it. Sunblock spf 50 at least (SEVERE burns were very common on our cruise.) Excursions were better booked in port. Watch the time - we left a few travelers on an island... Ship QualityBeautiful, clean, easy to figure out Dining/FoodDining Room -We didn't have a choice about prepaid gratuities (it added it in) so we had "My time dining" which it looks like you HAVE to set up ahead of time - but you can change it - so no stress. Plus you can just walk in & usually get in.
WindJammer - Good buffet. Not a 10, but probably an 8. Be careful of the extra charges "fresh squeezed orange juice" versus just orange juice... Stateroom Qualitysmallest room/cheapest available and it was still spacious and orderly/clean Ship Staff QualityStaff needs to be tipped - the prepaid gratuities don't go to all the people they should - so be aware, any tipping should be done directly to them and cash. Entertainment & ActivitiesVery easy to find something quality to do Children's ProgramsWe didnt use - Many kids - they seemed well entertained and stayed in the kids areas... 5 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

Fantastic Time on Oasis of the Seas by
Jose A. from Tampa, FL Sailing date: Sep 2011Pros: Lots of activites Cons: Not getting show times we wanted Bigger really is better! Loved Oasis of the Seas, sitting in Central Park in the afternoon, sipping a cool drink and looking up at the sky is breath taking. Had the most delicious dinner at Giovanni's. It's the best! Skip Chops and go there instead. We still talk about our dinner there it was that good! No problem getting a lounge chair by the pool. Getting on and off the ship was easy, not much of a wait. Royal Carribean knows how to treat you right. This is our 4th cruise and by far our best. Can't wait to go back again! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodGiovanni's is the best. If you can only do one specialty restaurant, go there. You won't be disappointed. Our waiter knew the menu and directed us to choices he knew we'd love-and he was spot on. Stateroom QualityOur room overlooked Central Park. Great location. Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesGood entertainment. Disappointing not getting times to shows that work into your schedule. However, there's always something to do and see.

Cozumel, MexicoTook a Royal Carribean tour to Tulum. The site was great, very good tour but hot. It was extremely hot. I wish we booked some time on the beaches which were gorgeous.
Don't Miss: The beaches at Tulum are beautiful, wish we planned to go there. Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)Labadee was much nicer than our last visit. Easy off and on the ship. Nice visit.
Don't Miss: Dragons breath. It's free and you've got to hear the dragon once in your lifetime. Falmouth, JamaicaTook at tour to Dunns River Falls with Yardley Tours. Great time. This tour company was recommended and did not disappoint. Wonderful, memorable day in Jamaica.
Don't Miss: Dunns River Falls. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

VIP TREATMENT FOR FIRST TIME CRUISERS by
Karen C. from Houston, Texas Sailing date: Aug 2012Pros: We loved everything about the ship! Even though the ship was at capacity, we were still able to find quiet places to relax. Cons: I really can't think of anything we did not like - it was a fabulous experience Shocked and amazed at the size of the ship as well as all the options that were available onboard. This was our first cruise and we were so overwhelmed with everything to do and all the functions that were scheduled we really did not know where to start. We smiled, non-stop for a week. Ship QualityThe ship was beautiful! We truly felt like we were in Central Park or on a Boardwalk!! At one point when we were walking through the Promenade, I forgot I was on a ship and felt like we were in a shopping mall. Dining/FoodThe variety of the food was top notch for all dining options. I guess we got to the Windjammer Cafe too late (around 7:30am) because most of the baked goods were a little dried out from the heat lamps. We choose other options for breakfast and lunch. Dinner was in the formal dining room every night and the variety was marvelous! With us being from Texas, it was a little light on seasoning and grilling but overall, we enjoyed the food very much Stateroom QualityConsidering the number of passengers this ship was able to carry, we felt our room was just perfect for us. There was plenty of room to sit on the couch and watch TV or lay on the bed and take a nap. The balcony was great and the size of the room was comparable to some hotels we have stayed in. We had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. Ship Staff QualityI wish there were 10 smiley faces!! The staff on the ship was absolutely fantastic!! Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, always smiling!! They made our vacation even better than we could have imagined!! Thank you Milton, Linda and Oscar!! Entertainment & ActivitiesIf you were bored on this ship, it was your own fault!! There was so much going on, we could not possibly see everything that was available. We laughed, A LOT and had a great time watching the passengers participate in the various competitions on board - i.e. twist competiton and belly flop! 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  Fabulous cruise by
Jan G. from Connellsville, Pa. Sailing date: Nov 2012Pros: Everything Cons: When it was over This was our first cruise so we did not know what to expect. We had some expectations as to what it would be like but those expectations went far and beyond what we experienced on our cruise. The Oasis of the Seas is beautiful and the service was outstanding. Everyone we came in contact with who worked on the ship were helpful, courteous, caring about us as a traveler. We will certainly book another cruise in the future. Ship Quality
