A Great Honeymoon
by Vinnie B from NJ
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
Amenities, Amount of Bars, Entertainment, Food
Cons:
Pool Size, Staff, Price of things on boat (Excursions, Internet, Classes, etc.)
We thought the ship looked and felt great with this being our first cruise. It was big and there were a lot of entertainment options going on all the time. Obviously cruising is expensive but we thought for the price we paid, other costs on boat would be nominal. (I mean, .75/minute for internet that barely worked.. That's pretty outrageous) Still, we had a great time and thought the menu in the main dining hall gave us plenty options that we were quite pleased with.

Great value and fantastic service
by Kristy C from London, UK
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
Attention to detail, size of staterooms, service
Cons:
Extend your Stay program
I am extremely happy with my experience on this cruise. Orbitz made the booking easy and they were also available for changes, questions leading up to the trip. Celebrity Cruise line exceeded my expectations. I've traveled on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Princess. Celebrity impressed me more than the others. Customer service really stood out. The food was delicious. Great amenities. Fantastic activities. I will definitely try and book again!

Ship Quality
There was always staff cleaning. Almost too much! I felt guilty that our staterooms were cleaned twice a day. The bathrooms were immaculate. The size of the ship was appropriate for the number of passangers. There was always a lounge chair available which I appreciated. I loved the artwork too.
Dining/Food
My husband and I choose the late seating every night. We dined in the main dining room and didn't try any of the speciality options. Why? Because the standard dining room options were fantastic. Many things to pick from, good quality. We loved that there was a fresh bread basket every evening with 3 varieties of butters. Beautiful decor. We were seated at a 2 top but we were right next to other tables so it wasn't as private as we'd like. I could also see into a staff area which wasn't the best, but overall it was okay.
Stateroom Quality
Very comfortable, plenty of space, bigger than any other stateroom. We were able to get upgraded to a veranda room which made all the difference in the world.
Ship Staff Quality
I work in hospitality for a major chain hotel so I appreciate good service. This ship has got it right! Everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful.
Entertainment & Activities
There were so many activity options depending on what you're interested in. Wine tastings, dance lessons, trivia, cooking. Something for introverts, something for extroverts, for families, kids, couples, solo's. Early, late, in-port or at sea. They had a main stage performance every night. They did repeat some of the performers.

Celebrity Equinox TransAtlantic Cruise
by Betty B from Atlanta
Sailing date:
Apr 2012
Pros:
The ship, the service and the food
Cons:
Older passengers - lots of walkers and wheel chairs
The Equinox is a newer Solstice class ship. Very easy to navigate and plenty of activities. The crew (including the captain and exec chefs) were continually interacting with guests.

Best vacation EVER!
by Kristin S from Atlanta, GA
Sailing date:
Apr 2012
Pros:
Entertainment, activities, food, crew
This was hands-down the best cruise I've taken. Every aspect of the boat and the cruise line was excellent. I would definitely recommend both to anyone.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The Celebrity Equinox is a more contemporary-styled boat. I've been on other boats that were more elegant or party-oriented, but this one was just right! The decor was very interesting and artistic and quite enjoyable.
Dining/Food
With several specialty restaurants to supplement the standard dining options, there is no shortage of great food. I especially recommend getting a seat at the Tuscan Grill at 6pm to watch the sunset. Magnificent!
Stateroom Quality
The stateroom was in great condition and nicely decorated. The size was comparable to other boats I've been on.
Ship Staff Quality
The crew of this boat... Wow. They are exceptional. Every time you see them -- any of them, they smile and greet you. The officers were frequently seen around the boat mingling, too.
Entertainment & Activities
Absolutely the finest entertainment on the seas. I was amazed at what the dancers and performers could do, let alone with the rocky waters! A show like Cirque de Soleil on a cruise ship? Who would have thought it! The variety and quality of entertainment was wonderful. I also have to say the activities offered were a lot of fun. My favorite was the Thriller Flash Mob! Jamie and Shawna were great dance and zombie teachers. Rawr!

Nice Ship, Staff, Okay Food
by Bryan B from Milwaukee, WI
Sailing date:
Jan 2012
Pros:
Friendliness of all Staff, Decor and Feel of the Ship was very nice.
Cons:
Concierge Service was not worth the price, did not get pillow menu (was told that they were out), they do not allow iron's, so you have to get clothes pressed through their laundry service, Appetizers delivered to room were very underwhelming, No Binoculars (again, told that they were all out)
Overall the Food was fairly bland and okay. Nothing was really spectacular, but nothing was bad either. We had a great time, but felt that the cruise staff lacked the ability to take care of the details. That being said, everyone was almost overly friendly, and appeared to be having a good time with us.

Ship Quality
My description was that it looked like Restoration Hardware threw up all over the ship. If you like that style, lots of wood, some bright colors, and modern looks, then you will enjoy the ship. Everything was super clean around the pools and eating areas.
Dining/Food
As stated above, nothing special, but was okay. Best part might be the Mast Grill Hot Dogs & Hamburgers.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
VERY Friendly.
Entertainment & Activities
Cheesy, but most people seemed to enjoy.

Pros:
excellent staff
Cons:
food
the staff was very accommodating however the formal dinning area food was less than desirable. The breakfast and lunch in the Oceanview Cafe was the same routine meals. I prepaid for my internet use but a lot of times the internet connect was down. I was not given a refund for the balance of the prepaid amount.

A wonderful cruise
by Michael Zlotnitsky from Bethesda, MD
Sailing date:
May 2011
Pros:
Everything
Cons:
The least I liked is the idea of departing from each destination reached at 6pm. We should've be given more time to enjoy the evening live of those ports visited.
A very professional service, quality of food, as well as a great quality of entertainment.
