Great Cruise. Magnificent ship.
by A Traveler from Nanaimo, BC
Sailing date:
Oct 2011
Pros:
Excellent condition of the ship and installations, friendly hard working staff.
Cons:
Very slow boarding and disembarking procedures. Too persistent sales personnel.
It is an amazing ship with excellent and ample facilities to ensure entertainment. Extremely clean and well maintained by a very friendly, competent and hard working staff. The cruise offered a good variety of locations and environments and plenty of activities. Great experience, worth recommending and repeating.

Excellent dining quality and ample choices. Dining times could have been more flexible.
Stateroom Quality
Constantly maintained, perfectly clean and comfortable. Staff keeps the staterooms clean at all times without interfering with guests.

Extremely friendly, always available and helpful. Efficient, professional and hard working. More boarding and disembarking security personnel would have been needed to make these procedures faster.

A Good Experience
by Ihsan S. from Los Angeles, CA

Pros:
Casablanca
Cons:
The food and Ship Excursions
Overall I was really impressed with the ship. It was beautiful and extremely well maintained and spotless.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship is huge and very well maintained. I did, however, have a major issue with all of the smoking that was allowed on the ship; even in the non-smoking areas. That was a huge turn-off for my wife and I. Way too much smoking.
Dining/Food
The food absolutely sucked. I would not recommend it at all. The other thing that really bothered me was that you have to pay for everything, including water. I have cruised many times in the past with several different ships and this is the first time that I have been on a ship that nickle and dimes you so much. The food was a major let down. FYI, before I left for the cruise, I spoke with customer service to find out what was included and I was told, meals, water and soft drinks, but alcohol has to be paid for (like on all ships). Let me tell you, that was not the case; and the food sucked. No bueno!
Stateroom Quality
We were upgraded to a suite that was immaculate.
Ship Staff Quality
The staff on the ship was extremely helpful, polite and exemplefied great customer service. We absolutely loved them.
Entertainment & Activities
The nightly shows were good. We didn't really spend much time in the Aft Lounge or the Jazz bars due to the clouds of cigarette and cigar smoke.

Sub Par At Best
by Matty D. from shelton, ct
Sailing date:

Pros:
Not much but the suite and the fact it was a new ship
Cons:
THE FOOD
The ship was very nice. It was clean and the casino was very nice. However.. The cruise didnt allow for day time on the ship. If you wanted to get off at a port and have a good time, you would need to wake up very early and then rush to get back on the ship. By that time it was too cold to be outside so there weren't many things to do. The drinks were of course highly priced and the food had to be choked down. Every aspect of the food was laughable when i didn't want to cry. It was worse the worst food i ever tasted. We stopped going to dinner the 3rd night and would only eat when we were off the ship. Not to mention our friend got food posioning and had to suffer through that terrible experience. The ports were ok and Tunisa was a hell whole that should not be visited. There is no good reason for that place to be a stop. Everything on the ship closed early the water in the hot tubs were cold, everything was expensive, everything was regulated, even the cheap glasses in the cabin, nothing was free not even water, the but staff was alright but then started to get on my nerves by the end of the cruise, i felt harrased and not on vacation.

Ship Staff Quality
They seemed like all they cared about was not getting fired, didn't go above and beyond for nothing.
