ship is physically seemingly ok by
A Traveler from United States Sailing date: Oct 2011Pros: easy on, easy off Cons: food fair at best, service below par, entertainment poor--not up to or even close to expectations best part of trip is leaving, though the staff is probably hard working and attentive, there
was enough sneers and rudeness to make you forget the overall good and hardworking staff.

Worst ship I have ever cruised on by
Kay S from Southern California Sailing date: Sep 2008Pros: Bernard - our steward and the ports Cons: Food was awful (cold, boring, monotonous menus); Layout of ship required a lot of extra spending in order to enjoy sailing time; , no laundry facilities; unhappy and exhausted crew ; staff kept telling them to smile; I have cruised four different lines and the Celebrity was the worst ever. I was never so glad to get off after two weeks. Ship Quality

"Hmm, So So at Best" by
Graham C from Orlando, Florida Sailing date: Mar 2012Pros: Staff were friendly, Cons: Ship was in poor condition, Food was terrible. I've been on over 10 cruises now and by far this was the worst experience yet. We were expecting a higher class of cruise with Celebrity but that was just not the case. We spent the extra money for a concierge class room which was nice I do have to say but it was dirty, the sliding door to our balcony was almost seized due to rust which they ended up changing the door after two days of complaining. The ship is scheduled to go into dry dock later this year and for good reason. It's very old and dirty in places. The staff did their best so I cannot knock them for trying. By far the worst food i've had on a ship. The buffet was terrible. I've had better at cheap roadside cafe's. The overall experience was no where near what we expected. I would not recommend this ship. Ship QualityNeeds a major make over. Mold in the shower in our room. Dining/FoodBy far the worst food i've had on any cruise ship. Everyone at our table was of the same opinion. Stateroom QualityNot bad but we've had better. Worth getting the concierge class room. It's only a little extra but worth it for space and service. Ship Staff QualityI can't knock the staff. Were very friendly and helpful. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe main acts were very good which is to be expected but with the exception of the piano player (ex American Idol runner up) the around ship entertainment was VERY bad. It was like a Philippine karaoke contest. At times the music hurt my ears. We had to leave the room. Piano bar was great but no room for dancing. 2 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

  A bit disappointed by
Lisa H from Hendersonville, NC Sailing date: Feb 2012Pros: Our state room, the service staff, and the ports of call Cons: No organization and bad communication within the crew. Ship is in desperate need of repairs. The ship is feeling its age. There is an obvious need for restoration. The service on this ship did not compare to the Century (the main dinning room service was exceptional, however). Everything seemed very disorganized, and there seemed to be a lack of communication within the crew members. Ship QualityNeeds major repairs. I literally saw granite being held together with duct tape and paint chips floating in water on the floor in the spa areas. Dining/FoodThe Ocean Grill was a disorganized mess-mostly because the ship guests were pushy and self centered, the coffee was horrible and dinner had very little to offer. You must dine in the main dining room for dinner if you care about service and quality. Stateroom QualityIt was nice. We had an accessible room, which gave us a little more space. Our room attendant was exceptional! Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesWe tried to go to a dance class-too crowded. We tried to go to an "aperitif tasting"-the bar tender knew nothing about it. I took a yoga class (which I paid $12 for), and the instructor was unqualified-seemed to be making things up as he went along. We saw a juggler/comedian who was really great! A lot of things we missed because it conflicted with our dinner time. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

This is an older ship by
A Traveler from Houston, Tx Sailing date: Feb 2012Pros: The main dining food was wonderful Cons: the buffet food was lacking. This is an older ship. I expected something nicer!! The bathrooms were in need of repair and we never could get our air conditioner working properly. Some of the staff didn't like each other and they didn't hide it. Ship QualityMuch of the ship needed updates in decor. Dining/FoodI loved the food in the main dining room but the buffet was terrible. Stateroom QualityMold in the shower and ac didn't work Ship Staff QualityMost of the staff were very nice and really did want to make you happy Entertainment & Activities

  alaska cruise by
A Traveler from Orlando, Fl. Sailing date: Aug 2010Pros: alaska, the naturalist on board, excursions Cons: the food How can one go wrong on a cruise to an amazing part of the world? The only surprise was that the food was underpar compared with other cruises I've been on. The rooms were great, service good, and the landscape spectacular! Ship QualityLovely ship, pretty standard. Dining/FoodSubpar compared to other cruises I've been on, both in the dining room and cafeteria. Stateroom QualityVery clean and well kept. Ship Staff QualityAlways friendly and willing to help, but so many of the staff do not speak English well enough to actually be of assistance. This was frustrating. Entertainment & ActivitiesExcept for the naturalist on board who did an excellent job explaining everything we were seeing, the entertainment was just average. Nothing special.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), AlaskaWhale watching, nature, real Alaska, no tourist traps, friendly people.
Juneau, AlaskaThe port is horrible, a total tourist trap, ugly, and nothing to see. Mendenhall Glacier is breathtaking, a must see. But get out of the port as quickly as possible.
Ketchikan, AlaskaStay away from the tourist traps!!!! There are beautiful and authentic souveniers to be had further north. Don't buy anything here - wait.
Skagway, AlaskaAdorable 'old time' Alaska, well preserved history.
Don't Miss: Glacier Point. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  Australia on the Millennium by
Cathy B. from Seattle, Wa. Sailing date: Mar 2009Pros: the itinerary Cons: the condition of the ship was terrible The ship was looking very old and tired since the last time we sailed on her in 2002. It was sad to see. Plus, we sailed the entire cruise with only one engine working properly which made us miss two ports! Ship QualityThe ship has a great layout but as I said it was not kept up at all. Dining/Food
