	Overall Rating: About the Reviewer: Age: 30 - 49 Cruise Experience: First cruise Traveler Type: Couple Stateroom Type: Balcony Spectacular and Memorable Cruise by Charles B from Carlsbad, CA Sailing date: Sep 2009 Pros: Concierge Class Stateroom was Spectacular and worth every cent. Cons: Disembark and transfer to Bus was very chaotic and disorganized We took the Southbound cruise from Seward to Vancouver. From the moment we arrived we where treated to a level of luxury that we have never experienced, even better than some of the luxury hotels we have stay at prior to this. The entire crew was very pleasant and helpful with all our accommodations and requests. We will be booking another cruise with Celebrity either on the Millennium or the Equinox. We just wish we had done the Cruise Tour, as there was not a lot of Wildlife to be seen during the cruise. Ship Details: Ship Quality Millennium was very clean and well kept. Glass Elevators, Walnut Paneling, Hammered Brass, Teak, Art and Sculptures through out for Dcor. WOW! They really pushed the hand Sanitizer through automatic stations and crewmembers walking around with jugs of it. Dining/Food The evening seated dining was 5 star. Half of the menu was always the same, Grilled Salmon, Steak, Salad, Soup etc. The other half changed every evening and was wonderful from the Oysters Rockefeller, Steak Tar-Tar to the Baked Alaska. Great Wines, Cognacs and Cordials. Stateroom Quality We stay in the Concierge Class Stateroom with a Veranda. Turn down service with mints after dinner, bed made by the time we got back from breakfast. If we needed ice, any of the 4 different pillows, fruit basket refilled, towels or laundry service was just a phone call away and there was even more that we didnt know about until the final couple days. The size was just right, not to small for 2 people. Glad we brought our own Binoculars as the ones in the room where not that powerful. Being able to order in room breakfast. Ordering shore excursions in our room was easy through the interactive menu on the TV, better than standing in line in the main lobby. Ship Staff Quality Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We saw a couple of the crew in town a couple times when we stopped. They greeted us and told us of special sites to stop and see. Entertainment & Activities There is something for everyone on the ship. From Wii sports contests, bingo, wine tasting, darts, a sports bar, dancing, the gym was amazing and wish we had brought our swimsuits for the indoor therapy pool. The shows in the main theater where entertaining and they had a different Movie in the Movie theater everyday. They had a Texas Holdem tournament (limited to 1 table) a couple times a day at sea and cash games in the evening in the Casino. Nickel to 5-dollar slots and 3 card poker. Children's Programs We looked at the Arcade and Youth Center when we boarded and wandered the ship to see everything. They had teen evening activities like club night and Wii contests and lots of things for younger kids. We did not take our son but are now rethinking that after seeing that they had things to keep kids busy and entertained. 20 out of 23 people found this review helpful. The ship was elegant and impressive. The concierge service was top notch. We enjoyed the high standard of personalized service and the friendliness and professionalism of every crew member. We honestly felt like celebrities as the name aptly implies. The food was outstanding, alot of seafood, which we love! The overall experience was fantastic and everything was done to please us as passengers. The captain walking around the ship made it extra special. The brunch was far beyond our expectations. The itinerary was super as well. We had the best cruise ever and will highly recommend to others. Ship Details: Ship Quality The ship was 10 years old but was in excellent condition. Dining/Food No short-cuts here, the meals were excellent! Stateroom Quality Our room was bigger than we expected, concierge class and worth it! Ship Staff Quality Outstanding! Overall Rating: About the Reviewer: Age: 50 - 65 Cruise Experience: 4 - 6 cruises Traveler Type: Couple We love transatlantic cruising on Celebr by Annie from St. Louis, MO Sailing date: Nov 2006 Pros: Two-story theater and the large atrium-type aqua pool area. We have sailed on Celebrity Cruise lines several times and always receive excellent service from the stateroom attendants and wait staff. The food is great and the dining room staff is very attentive to your needs. We had a wonderful cruise around the Mediterrean and across the Atlantic. The weather was great for late November & early December. The only problem we encountered was at debarkation and this always seems to be a problem for transatlantic crossings. We were supposed to leave the ship at 8:00 am and fly out of Ft. Lauderdale at 11:00 am. Instead, it took forever for the ship to pass inspections (having been in Europe for several months) and we were not permitted to leave the ship until 10:30 -- so we missed all our flights and suffered through a VERY long travel day. It was truly a travel day from hell! Ship Details: Entertainment & Activities Entertainment: Get rid of shows that feature jugglers, magicians, plate twirlers, etc. The same acts tend to move from ship to ship and become very repetitive! Sailing date: Mar 2009 Pros: the itinerary Cons: the condition of the ship was terrible The ship was looking very old and tired since the last time we sailed on her in 2002. It was sad to see. Best food of any cruise line (incl. HAL and Royal Carribean). Enjoyed main dinining room and especially loved the 5 course/wine pairing dinner in Olympic. Ship in much need of refurbishing, but aware of such when booked. Still, public areas were very clean and cabin bed confortable. However, despite repeated attempts to correct had A/C problemns in cabin so that it was overly warm entire trip. Noticed that the entire aft area was warm, as was 10th deck buffet area. If weather had been hotter, would have been miserable. Kudos on non-smoking casino. Enjoyed the clean air and friendly low key dealers. Entertainment was top notch -- esp. Broadway Revue with excellent sets, costumes and vocals. The buffet was delicious and open almost the entire day. Dining food was delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Cons: Beverage packages were expensive. Bar service in the dining room was slow. The last night the bar waiter took our beverage orders; he never returned. This was our first cruise, but we thought the ship was absolutely beautiful. The rooms and public areas were clean and updated. We were told this is a smaller ship compared to others, but with a four night cruise, we still were only able to see only half of the ship. We thought it was extremely nice and were impressed! Ship Details: Ship Quality Always clean! Dining/Food New and different options each night in the dining room! The bar service in the dining area was fair at best. Our waiter and assistant waiter did a nice job and were friendly. Stateroom Quality We had a balcony room and it was absolutely beautiful. It was tastefully decorated with a nice open view. For the two of us we had plenty of space and plenty of storage. We were treated to a complimentary bottle of champagne and fruit dish upon the arrival of our room. We were always given an after lunch snack of cheese/crackers etc. The room was kept cleaned and organized. Ship Staff Quality Everyone staff member on the ship went above and beyond. Everyone was friendly. Our stateroom attendant Derrick, was great. He helped us...we had lots of questions being first time cruisers. Our bed was always made by the time we came back from breakfast and after dinner our bed was turned down with mints to share. The only surprise was that the food was underpar compared with other cruises I've been on. The rooms were great, service good, and the landscape spectacular! Ship Details: Ship Quality Lovely ship, pretty standard. Dining/Food Subpar compared to other cruises I've been on, both in the dining room and cafeteria. Stateroom Quality Very clean and well kept. Ship Staff Quality Always friendly and willing to help, but so many of the staff do not speak English well enough to actually be of assistance. This was frustrating. Entertainment & Activities Except for the naturalist on board who did an excellent job explaining everything we were seeing, the entertainment was just average. Nothing special. Juneau, Alaska The port is horrible, a total tourist trap, ugly, and nothing to see. Mendenhall Glacier is breathtaking, a must see. But get out of the port as quickly as possible. Ketchikan, Alaska Stay away from the tourist traps!!!! There are beautiful and authentic souveniers to be had further north. Don't buy anything here - wait.
