Entertaining for all ages. by Babak from Maryland
Sailing date: Jun 2007

Pros:
The new Jackoozies that stick out on the side of the ship and are for adults only.

Everything was great, the only think that was different and some what annoying was the fact that the waiters were very pushy to sell alcoholic drinks and that got to be somewhat annoying....

This cruise is awesome! by Liora S. from United States
Sailing date: Feb 2013

Pros:
Lots to do on the ship, great ambiance, friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced drinks

Cons:
none really...

This was my first cruise and I am so happy we went! We were celebrating our first anniversary! We decided to go with a stateroom overlooking the promenade and it was fabulous! It wasn't as small as I expected it to be and it was very practical and nice. Your room is cleaned twice a day which means it's always nice and livable... There was so much to do on the ship and Cozumel was awesome as well (went swimming with dolphins, snorkeling and just sitting on the beach). We can't wait to bring our family!

Can't wait to cruise again! by Jennifer R from Chicago, IL

Pros:
Dining staff, number of activities,

Cons:
our excursion in Belize, too short of a trip

So many things to do. I felt like I was in a floating hotel resort.

There were Purel stations every where. Our room was great (stateroom with a balcony). Very easy to navigate the ship. Liked the interactive screens on every level giving the current list of activities and a map on how to get there.

For two people our room was a good size. Our attendant kept the room very clean. We loved sleeping with the balcony door open and listening to the waves/water at night. Our room was toward the back of the boat and I think next time I would like a room closer to the front so that we didn't get as much of the cigarette smoke blowing by our room.

Loved that we were called by name. Our dining staff was the best (Naville and Vinnie). They picked up very quickly what we liked and made sure those things were at the table when we got there for dinner. We also ran into our dining waiter while at port and he came up to us and talked to us with a smile on his face. He was so happy all the time!

Awesome Cruise by A Traveler from Atlanta, GA
Sailing date: Feb 2012

Pros:
Service

Cons:
Weather

This was my first time sailing on the Liberty of the Seas and will not be the last. The ship itself was amazing and Royal Caribbean keeps it in great shape. The service was amazing. From the room attendant to the waiters, everyone was very attentive and helpful. The only downside was weather at the ports of call. This cruise went to Labadee, Haiti and Falmouth, Jamaica. We experienced brief rain showers in Haiti but Royal Caribbean can't control that.

The staff on Liberty of the Seas are amazing. I witnessed the dealers at the Casino taking time to teach new players on games and strategy. The bartenders remember names which is impressive on a ship of this size (tips help). The stateroom attendant was very attentive and not intrusive. Also our waiter and assistant waiter in the dining room were amazing. My water glass never went empty and the food was quick. I even witnessed the head waiter cut our tablemate's food (shrimp I think).

Huge ship! by Anne D. from Scappoose, OR
Sailing date: Feb 2012

Pros:
great balconly room, beautiful ship, excellent service

Cons:
we are very rural - way too many people for us!

It was beautiful and I am sure everything a person could want. It was just too many people for our comfort. Both "at sea" days were rainy, so we didn't really get to enjoy the top decks - pools, etc. We loved our balcony room - nice to quietly enjoy the views.

Dining/Food
We only ate in the dining room once - for lunch. One of the people sitting with us was very unhappy - sent her meal back 3 times and still not happy. We are pretty quiet people - maybe not social enough for a cruise. Eating meals with strangers is kind of weird... The food was good, although the choices limited. We didn't realize until too late that lobster was only offered for dinner one night. The buffet was very busy. We did have very nice little meals - room service, pizza, little sandwiches in the coffee shop, and Johnny Rockets.

Amazing trip and a great value! by GiGi M. from Sarasota, FL.
Sailing date: Oct 2011

Pros:
Hard to say just one thing. Food, entertainment, ports we went to.

Cons:
The ship made a lot of noise when we hit choppy waters. Our room attendant complained about his job and so did our waiter.

Getting on board went very smoothly, it seems that since they went to online check in they move much quicker. Our stateroom was a balcony stateroom (not a suite) and it was plenty of room for my Mother and I. The bed was very comfortable. Regarding food I am not a huge fan of buffets so even though my Mom preferred the Windjammer for all of its diversity I preferred the dining room for all three meals. My favorite was the lunch salad they let you choose what you want then they chop it. We decided to do the late dining and was happy while we were in ports but not so happy once we were at sea for 7 days because we were hungry a lot of times earlier. I would recommend the anytime dining and signing up for it before the ship sales since it booked up right after we set sail. We did excursions in almost every port so it is hard to say if we would have had more fun on our own. There were some ports where there was really nothing to do unless you did an excursion. They can add up though if you are on a long cruise. My best advice is to research each port before going to see if the area of interest is within walking distance of the ship. The ship we were on was the Liberty of the seas and it was huge to me. I know that they have made larger ships now but I cannot imagine what for. There always seemed as though there was something to do an somewhere to go. We took advantage of the enrichment seminars, ice shows, theatre and a few of the "games". All were well done and entertaining. There are a lot of places on the ship to escape and hang. My favorite was the Vintage room where I could pour myself a glass of wine and snuggle up in a comfortable chair to read. They also offered wifi on the ship so that was very convenient. Our room attendant was not 100% but it did not effect our overall trip really, he was just a complainer. Turns out so was our waiter who rarely broke a smile but again it did not adversely affect our trip. The wonderful people we were sitting with made up for the waiter. The only time I felt as though things were not handled well was leaving the ship. We were one of the lasts which we had planned on but customs had held it up so long that we were almost 2 hours late. Then once off the boat we waited in a monster line with very aggravated people. We had to carry our own luggage since there were no available porters so needless to say a few hours in we were not happy. Other than that the trip was a huge success and even with 7 days at seas, choppy weather and a creaky boat we had a blast. Royal Caribbean does it well.

the ship was an amazing experience by tammy luke from swatz creek michigan
Sailing date: Mar 2011

Pros:
food royal employess and service excursions

Cons:
formal night cost of photos

The ship was a work of art as far as convenience goes. The service from the stateroom, irene pastrana, was wonderful..there was rough seas one night and she was omforting and helpful, she explained how to get rid of he seasickness we felt. I feel we made some friends we hope to see again.

Liberty of the Seas is a Great Ship by LLL from Rye, NH
Sailing date: Feb 2010

Pros:
The ship is excellent. Staff as well. New, Clean, Professional.

Cons:
Windjammer buffet. Costa Maya and Belize ports of call.

Overall impression is very good. I like four and five star facilities, so I am picky. The ship looked new, clean and impressive. We had a balcony, and I highly recommend paying for it..it gives extra space and adds to the experience. We had two children with us, the coach was turned into a double bed each evening and was quite comfortable. I beleive we paid a bit extra for an extra 20 square feet and the assurance of a pull out. The room was very comforatble and there was plenty of space for our clothes (we had five suitcases)!.

The buffet in the windjammer was mediocre, as were the sit down lunches. The dinners were very good, not "WOW", but no complaints. (again, I am a tough critic). We had My Time dining and it worked out great. Missed the traditional grand buffet presentations with flowers and ice sculptures..you could tell they were cutting back on "the touches" and excess.

very nice. Clean. Enough room so that we didn't feel cramped. We had an extra 20 square feet and a balcony. I contemplated whether to spend the extra on a balcony, as I knew we wouldn't be in our room that often...SO GLAD I splurged...definately adds to the experience.

Our staterom attendent made out trip. Selwyn was so kind, thoughtful and attentive. We had a couple of special requests, if at all possible...and he went out of his way to accomodate. He loved spoiling our girls with towel animals and special hellos. The My Time reservation manager and the hostess of the dining room were also "above and beyond". All dining staff were extremely attentive and friendly.

My girls opted not to participate in the programs, as it appeared that they were combining all ages 12 through 17. (they are usually broken out 12-14, and 14-17). The staff seemed friendly. The schedule ran very late for 12 to 14 year olds (many things started at 10PM)
