by Gary S from Ramstein AFB, Germany
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
Being pampered for 11 days
Cons:
The hordfuls of old people attacking the buffet lines
Love the ship; there was so much to do that we simply did not have enough time to take full advantage of the everything on board the ship.

The food was excellent on most days.
Stateroom Quality
The mattress on the bed (in the cabin that i occupied) needs to be upgraded. Not very comfortable
Ship Staff Quality
Most of the staff were quite friendly, but there were a few who in the dining areas, would not make eye contact or offer to assist.

The best vacation ever!
by Ellen G. from Springboro, Oh
Sailing date:
Jan 2010
Pros:
Vast amount of activities, cleanliness of the ship at all times, people wainting on you hand and foot
Cons:
nothing
It was everything and more than I expected. The crew was very helpful and friendly at all times. The ship was huge but easy to get around and all the important areas were centralized. The ship was always clean....I never saw any trash or dirty pool towels lying around.

Loved the ports!!!!
by Margaret H from United States
Sailing date:
Jun 2009
Pros:
Scandanavia
Cons:
Not enough time in one of them...Estonia
Loved the spa and gym. Some classes cost extra money :-( Get a drink card, it saves money in the long run, when you want a coffee or soda. Staff was awesome, very attentive. Tried just about everything on board. We were matched with a family at dinner that was so nice. I've been on 5 cruises, and this is the way to go. They had movies under the stars with blankets and cushy deck chairs, popcorn was available too. In afternoons the milk and hot cookies cart came out on deck...and we loved the pizza and creamy ice cream bar the best. You won't be disappointed if you book this cruise!

We had a balconey room on Rivera deck....loved the location. Our friends had the bigger balcony on the lower deck, but for the amount of time you are out on the balcony the smaller one worked just fine for us. Loved getting the exercise going up and down the stairs too.
Ship Staff Quality
They have a nice laundry room set up with ironing boards.

We took the tri-city tour and did get to a beach this time. I would suggest you do your own thing on this port. This is a quick stop, so would have liked more time here.
Helsinki, Finland
Rock Church was way cool...can be crowded and people aren't respectful that they are inside a church, this bugged me...but you have to go see it. Also went to the Market Place and saw the Senate Building. Very clean city.
Don't Miss:
Senate Square
St. Petersburg, Russian Federation
Did the 2 day tour and it was worth it for the Hermitage, also took the canal boat, but it was raining, & cold so that put a damper on the day. You do see a lot with the tour, but it is fast moving. They did serve us caviar with lunch and of course Russian vodka. Great History here!!!
Don't Miss:
The Hermitage and Peterhof Palace!!!
Oslo, Norway
We rode the trains here and it was so much fun. Didn't get to Kon-Tiki, but that was o.k. we were short on time in this port too....walking too is easy way to get around
Don't Miss:
VIGELAND Sculpture Park
Stockholm, Sweden
Wasn't that impressed with the Viking ship "Vasa" everyone else liked it in our group, but I liked the surrounding area better. Saw the crown jewels and changing of the guard at the Royal Palace, this was worth it. Very pretty city.
Don't Miss:
Go to the water and you'll love walking around this city, easy walks...
Tallinn, Estonia
My favorite port. Tallinn is a beautiful old city with charm. We walked every where. Be sure and grab a pastry in one of the many small cafe's.
Don't Miss:
Dome church

Ten days at sea
by A Traveler from upstate NY
Sailing date:

Pros:
color of the water
Cons:
noise in my full suite
I was disappointed in the Cancun suite which is right under the gym. The noise from the treadmills started at 7 am. Afternoon naps were interrupted also. I understand this a problem on the Emerald, Ruby and Crown Princess ships...buyer beware.

Pros:
Service was great!
Cons:
Dinners were subpar ... especially the beef selections
service people were very attentive, prompt and curteous. Dinners were disappointing. Beef dishes were bland, meat wasn't of the greatest quality .. I've had much better at most of the area restaurants. Gym was nice but lacked water .... fountain dispensed lukewarm water. Itinerary was so so ... unless you scuba dive Grand Turk is a wasted stop. There's got to be better this time of year (Aug) ...

by A Traveler from Maryland
Sailing date:
Jul 2010
Pros:
nice stateroom with balcony
Cons:
really bad music, singers only had 2 notes, loud and louder
Food in the dining rooms was very good, lots of variety. Buffets left something to be desired; had several areas of food and everyone was milling about and clogging the whole area. Fruit was pretty much tasteless; bread was hard; had only 1 toasting machine which took forever to toast. Service in all areas was excellent from wait staff to cabin steward to bar tenders. Good shows.

Couldn't go directly from our floor (9th) to the dining room on the 7th floor. Elevators were not working on first day when everyone was coming aboard.

Disappointing
by Hala s from Chicago, illinois
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
Itinerary
Cons:
The service and food
We found this to be a budget cruise in the sense that once on board, you were nickel and dimed for all services and there was a constant sales pitch. We ended up having to spend more than the cruise itself on extras to enhance our experience. The ship and company are not service oriented. There was an old decor to the ship.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Too big and too many people with an awkward layout bc you have to go on different floors to cross over.
