  Good Cruise by
Iliana C from Los Angeles, CA Sailing date: Apr 2013Pros: Boat's decor, excellent service from employees Cons: Not enough time at the ports. The boat's decor is very nice; clean boat mostly. If you are on a budget, Carnival is the best liner to go with, but remember- you get what you pay for! Carnival is the perfect budget cruise. If you can spend a few more $$$, then go with a more upscale liner like Celebrity or Royal Caribbean- theyre both worth it. Ship QualityDid not like the fact that the public restrooms inside the boat- not in your staterooms- did not have toilet seat covers. Also, the Lido deck area was not always well kept during the day (due to so many people roasting under the sun all day), and the sun chairs were pretty dirty- except for the 21 and over only area. We did not like the fact that smoking is allowed at all-should only be allowed in the casino- but no where else. Dining/Food
Stateroom QualityFelt the 3 person stateroom was quite snug- and we are not big overweight people, but are a rather fit group!! Lol. Ship Staff QualityThe staff in the dining room, and the staff in housekeeping were very friendly. Bunch of hard working people. There were some employees that were in charge of cleaning public areas on the boat, example: Lido deck or buffet area- that would be on their cell phones on private calls. Not good. Entertainment & ActivitiesDid not like the shows in the theater, the entertainment was pretty boring, not really well planned or entertaining, the night club was not great either. DJ played horrible music that no one would dance to- for example, on the 4th night, it was Latin music theme, and the dance floor was PACKED with people dancing. After that hour of latin music, the DJ switched the music (terrible mistake) and everyone fleed from the dance floor. He saw that NO ONE was dancing, but insisted on playing that crappy bang music instead. Did not cater at all to the public's preference. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Freedom 6 days by
Robert M. from United States Sailing date: Mar 2013Pros: Key West Cons: Time at ports The price is what makes this a great cruise. I loved the ports, Kew West, Cayman, Jamaica...need I say more Ship Quality
Dining/Foodother cruise lines have better food, but price is right on Carnival. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityThis crew was very average. 3rd cruise with Carnival and this was the least attentive crew. Entertainment & Activities

  Great cruise! by
Ann L. from Southern Wisconsin Sailing date: Jan 2013Pros: Variety of the food. Cons: Long wait in the dining room for entree/not always hot. Very clean ship, great staff. Really appreciated our room steward, Edwin. Enjoyed all of the ports and the relaxing days at sea. Had to replace my deodorant on the cruise, and it cost over $7.00 in the Freedom's gift shop. I understand they mark things up, but a little excessive. Food was very good. Two nights in the dining room we waited over 40 mins for out entree to be served, and then it wasn't hot. Great the rest of the time. Ship QualityGreat entertainment, and hard working staff. Sometimes there was no waiter around to take drink orders, but they were nice when you could find one. Not the most attractive interior of the Carnival ships...I think the Legend and the Liberty are much prettier. We had a lovely room on Deck 1 with a huge window.Very clean. Stateroom Quality

  Fantastic Cruise by
Tim R from Winston-Salem, NC Sailing date: Feb 2013Pros: Key West port of call Cons: nothing The Carnival Freedom is a great ship to sail on. The staff is very friendly and gets to know you by name in about a day. They are intentional about making sure you know that while you are their guests, you are on vacation and they will do everything they can to make sure you are taken care of. I was very impressed about the level of cleanliness they kept the ship. Everything is constantly being cleaned. Ship QualityLarge ship and very stable in the water. Dining/Food
Stateroom QualityThe cabin is always cleaned and ready for you as you come back. They also respect that if you want to be more eco-friendly, they only will replace towels on the floor. Otherwise they will tidy up and let you reuse your towels. Ship Staff QualityThe staff assigned to you get to know you by name very quickly and become like good friends. Entertainment & Activities

A Great Ship for A First Time Cruise! by
Melissa G. from Wisconsin Sailing date: Jan 2013Pros: Loved the staff - They were so accomodating! Cons: nothing - everything was great! I can't say enough about how wonderful this cruise was. My girlfriends and I were all first-time cruisers and weren't sure what to expect. The ship has everything you'd possibly want and more. The staff were friendly and even remembered our names after the very first night! Carnival really goes out of the way to make sure you have a good time. Ship Quality

  Exceptional service! by
Emily L from Minneapolis, MN Sailing date: Jan 2013Pros: Great atmosphere, awesome service Cons: the food could have been better with healthier options like gluten free and vegetarian Excellent! Ship QualityThe shop was clean and full of things to do. We loved it. Dining/FoodI gave a average rating because we had some great food and some not so great food. The first night I ordered the vegetarian option of a tofu steak. It was two tasteless pieces of tofu with some teryaki sauce drizzled on it. Yuck! Then we had awesome dinners, my husband loved the steak and lobster. We got a little tired of the fruit selection, cantelope honeydew and grapefruit. An occasional kiwi would appear, but not often. You would think that when you are in the tropics that you could get some better fruit. Stateroom QualityWe sprung for a balcony this trip and it was worth every cent. The extra space and the option of being outside with out traveling through the ship was a highlight! Ship Staff QualityThe staff was very friendly and accommodating. They really go out of their way to make you feel like you are on vacation and you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows are a little cheesy but they put a lot of work in to them and the dancers and singers are really talented. There is a lot to do if you like to gamble, bingo and casino. Great gym and spa. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  A wonderful honeymoon by
William M from Wilmore, KY Sailing date: Jan 2013Pros: We didn't have to worry about anything. From activities to food, we were covered. Cons: Everything was crowded. I guess that is to be expected, but it was still the only downside. We really enjoyed everything; the ship appeared to be in great shape, and all the public areas were clean. Ship Quality

Best week of vacation ever. by
A Traveler from Detroit, MI Sailing date: Dec 2012Pros: Relaxing with family in the quieter spots on the ship, and eating together each night in dining room. Cons: St. Thomas and Nassau - didn't have great experiences in these ports. We loved the ship. It was beautiful and had lots of busy, noisy spots but also lots of quiet, uncrowded places where you could relax and read. We especially loved the deck chairs on the sides of Deck 3 - often had the deck to ourselves and could read, out of the sun, and be close to the water. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodTwo of our party eat gluten-free and dining room staff were amazingly helpful. As soon as we sat down the first night, we had someone at our table discussing the food options. Stateroom QualityWe chose interior rooms for price and found them to be great. They were always clean, had plenty of storage space and we find we didn't really miss a window or balcony because we were hardly ever there. One nice perk is having a dark room for sleeping. Ship Staff QualityEvery single staff person we encountered was polite, helpful and very hardworking. Entertainment & ActivitiesTons to do. We enjoyed the talent show, marriage game, Beatles show, etc. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.
