the ports were great
by A Traveler from Chino Hills, CA
Sailing date:
Jun 2010
Pros:
the excersions, but way too expensive
Cons:
the ship had a lot of mechanical problems and missed out of the main event, the fijords we were very disappointed. I won't sail with Celebrity Cruises again.
The ship itself was mediocre. However, the staff were very upbeat and wonderful.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was pretty plain, but clean.
Dining/Food
The food was really good, sometimes by the time it got to our table it was only warm. There was a nice variety for every palate.
Stateroom Quality
OUr room was clean and comfortable.
Ship Staff Quality
The best part was the staff.
Entertainment & Activities
There were a lot of activities that were ok.

zip lined here and loved it. Shopping was great.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Shopping was good. I was bored by the Lumberjack show, There wasnt much to the totem pole park we visited. The glacier was cool.
Skagway, Alaska
We took a helicopter ride out to the dog sledding camp and dog sled. It was the bomb. The shopping was good.
Victoria, British Columbia
We were here for only 4 hours and it was at night. Not enough time to do much of anything.

What a waste
by A Traveler from El Paso, TX
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
The Staff
Cons:
The Food
I thought cruise ship food was supposed to be fantastic, this was bland and sometimes bad. While I understand when cooking for thousands of people, spices must be withheld or kept light, however, even when having a specific meal prepared for me, spices were not available to be added. Whenever we got off the boat, we were seeking food with some flavor.

Just a well balancec vacation
by Vincent D from Richmond, VA
Sailing date:
Nov 2012
Pros:
Mixture of relaxation, entertainment and education
Cons:
Evening buffet always routine
A very good ship with a lot of actvities and features. The trip was a great mixture of relaxation, entertain and education.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Ship was very well kept. There was some maintenance going on while we were onboard, but nothing that got in the way. A very nice design.
Dining/Food
Very good. A lot of options for dining. The specialty resturants were execellent, especially Qsine. Would like to see more options for the evening buffet. Many times we did not have time for formal dinner and buffet offered the same food every night.
Stateroom Quality
It was small, but we purchased an inside room, so it was nothing unexpected. It was well kept. It was in a very convenient location to getting around the ship. Though other recommendations warned us about noice in this location, it was very quite. Also, very dark being an inside room and conducive to sleeping. If you want sunshine in the morning, this is not your room.
Ship Staff Quality
The working staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I had some small special requests and they went out of their way to help. The entertainment staff was nice, but some were not very social in one-on-one encounters. They seem to have a stage personality, but a different social personality. I felt like I was annoyging them to carry on a conversation. Not a big issue.
Entertainment & Activities
Excellent. They had a great variety for everyone. There shows at night were a mixture of singing, dancing, comedy and other unique entertainment. Throughout the trip they had speakers the educated on area we were travelling and other subjects. This was their strength.

Panama Canal Cruise-2010
by A Traveler from Seattle, WA
Sailing date:
Sep 2010
Ship was fine. Public areas clean and nicely decorated. Bathrooms always seemed cleaned.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Little bigger than I usually like but laid out quite nicely. Everything was easy to find. Public areas were attractively decorated and always kept clean.
Dining/Food
Somewhat disappointing. I've heard Celebritiy has excellent foot but that was not the case on the Infinity. Steaks overcooked and tough. Pasta undercooked. Seafood average. Nothing stood out except of course the deserts!! Buffet was always chaotic. Too many food lines going in all directions.
Stateroom Quality
Not the best I've had but certainly not the worst.
Ship Staff Quality
Bar and restaurant staff were excellent. Cabin steward left something to be desired. Took 3 attempts before he understood we wanted the beds separated! Always forgot something when cleaning the cabin.
Entertainment & Activities
Best entertainment was the a capella groug On Tap. They were great. Otherwise the shows were typical cruise ship fare. Entertainers who usually can't sing or dance very well. One of the biggest problems with the entertainment was that it was totally aimed at the older guests. There were enough younger people on board who might have enjoyed some entertainment geared towards the under 50 age group! Activities were boring to say the least. Scrap booking? Art auctions that put you to sleep. Water color painting led by a teacher who thought she was in school, not on a vacation cruise. Painful to watch. Nothing for the under 50 set.

Got a good deal on a local taxi ride throught the city. He took us to all the highlights and was very polite and knowledgeable about the history of the city. Plus the taxi was airconditioned!!
Don't Miss:
Cliff divers!!
Cartagena, Colombia
Only excursion I took from the ship. Should have found another taxi ride. The tour guide was horrible. She let scenic sights go by while making sure time and again that we knew we were in Cartagen, Columbia. Where else were we supposed to be?? And she had the bus driver drive us right up to specific stores for our "shopping pleasure". What a rip off. While in the courtyard of the church she spent the last 15 minutes of the tour telling us about the shopping in Boca Grande. Everyone was wilting in the heat. We had run out of the water we'd been given at the start of the tour. And when we finally got to Boca Grande she again had the driver stop right in front of a specific shop and she even opened the door of the shop to usher us in!! I asked if there was a little grocery store where I could get a soda and she said she show me "later" after the jewelry store. Think she had a little something on the side with that shop?? I found what I wanted on my own. Emily is tour guide.
Don't Miss:
Old Town. I love historic sights
Huatulco, Mexico
Nice, clean little town. Again found a local taxi to show me the sights. Enjoyable port.
Don't Miss:
The beach!
Colon, Panama
Got off the ship in the evening only. Really not worth it.
Don't Miss:
THE CANAL!!!
Puntarenas, Costa Rica
Private guide to see crocadiles, monkeys and such. The only way to go.
Don't Miss:
Feeding the monkeys!!!
San Diego, California
Been here before. Always enjoy it. Lots to see and do. Had a friend take my around. Nice way to sightsee!
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
WAY too hot for me! I know the street merchants want to sell you everything, but this was ridiculous. You couldn't walk 10 feet without being pestered to buy something. Glass bottom boat ride was excellent however. And cooler!
Don't Miss:

Celebrity had good and bad points
by Laura J. from Temple TX
Sailing date:
Jun 2010
Pros:
The staff was curtious and very efficient
Cons:
The food was awful and I was not alone in that opinion--it was the talk of the ship
The staff from beginning to end was wonderful, the shows were Broadway quality and the naturalist on board was awesome. The Big disappointment was the food--prime rib that could hardly be cut with a knife, fish that was very "fishy" and halibut was like mush. Only one night did we have decent food and that was our last night.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Nice ship but not as pretty as many that we have been on previously.
Dining/Food
This was a great disappointment. See above. However, I must say that our wait persons were a delight. Unexpectedly, we were forced to eat several meals on shore. The best thing on the ship was the fresh salad bar on the buffet. Salads at dinner were wilted and additional veggies were stale.
Stateroom Quality
We chose a less expensive cabin this time and it was fine. This was a conscious decision because the views were so spectacular we went to a room at the top of the ship that had ceiling to floor glass and comfortable club chairs. From this vantage point we could see sights on both sides of the ship and thought this was better than sitting on a balcony---temperature was right with no wind. :)
Ship Staff Quality
Every request was above and beyound our expectations. An example: The last morning when everyone was so busy, we asked where the closest coffee would be and our attendant said he would bring us some and almost immediately we had a beautifful tray with cups, cream and a pot of coffee---a great surprise and more than we had expected or would have considered asking for on such a busy morning.
Entertainment & Activities
The shows over all were high energy and the stage swarmed with talent. The magic show was below par, but everything else was great. We went to several of the onboard lectures and all were excellent, entertaining as well as informative.

The zip line excursion was awesome. The staff was reassuring and fun. The add on to this was Mendenhal Glacier, a disappointment after seeing the Misty Fjords.
Don't Miss:
The zip line and I understand the whale watching was a grand success.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Skagway, Alaska
Very touristy---every other store a jewelry store with trinket shops in between. They have done a nice job of keeping the historical nature of the buildings. To escape the town and the thousands of tourists in this tiny space we went to Garden City Glassworks and "blew" (with a lot of help) a piece of art to bring home.
Victoria, British Columbia
This was my third trip to Bruchart Gardens and I never tire of this fabulous site. The tour said "City tour" and gardens. The city tour consisted of whatever was along side the streets on the way to the gardens. We missed the best part of the city, the Empress Hotel and government buildings around the harbor. That was wasted time and it was dark for much of the city sites. That said, our bus driver gave it his best shot and had lots of history to tell us on the way to the gardens and back to the ship.
Don't Miss:
The gardens

Panama Cruise Experience
by A Traveler from Las Vegas, NV
Sailing date:
Apr 2010
Pros:
Sights and land excursions
Cons:
Too many days at sea
Huge ship. We stayed lost on the ship all of the time. The production shows were the greatest. The oher evening shows seemed like "just put together" shows. The food was OK, but not something we would rave about. The ice cream counters were a hit, but they only served from 12 noon to six P.M. No evening ice cream service was available except in the dining rooms. The crew was excellent, especially the cabin stewards. Would use Clebdrity Cruises again, but not for a fourteen day cruise. Too many days at sea.

Dining/Food
Need more time for casual ice cream service. Need more self-serve ice cream machines. Service in the select dining room (Trellis, floor 5, was always slow.)

Entertainment & Activities
Stage production shows were the best. The other acts and groups were "Some thing to see," when you had nothing else to do. The stage production band was excellent at all times.

Pros:
lectures, food,service
Cons:
cost of excursions
This was our first ever cruise and we loved it.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
We were concerned it was too big at first glance, but one can find quiet places if need be
Dining/Food
we were scheduled for the 8:30pm dinner, too late for us, so we only went once and it was delicious but the rest of the cruise we ate at the grill (great fish)
Stateroom Quality
seeing the ocean from the bed on moonlit nights was lovely
Ship Staff Quality
delightful staff
Entertainment & Activities
we would have like to tour the kitchen but it was offered during excursion times which made it difficult. The live music was excellent and the lectures really interesting

Pros:
Variety and wide range of choices of cruise features
Cons:
Lack of detailed Information provided about excursions and options. Hawking of cheap jewelery
The overall cruise was excellent. Very good service mentality as well as variety of choice of onboard activities and food services. Lack of detailed Information provided about excursions and options along with some of the fine print details of packages was frustrating at times.

Overall, my family and I had a wonderful time on our cruise! The ship lived up to more than our expectations, such as the great service, to even the tiniest of things, such as bringing ice cubes to our room. Thanks for the great cruise, Celebrity!
