Pleasant cruise.... by
Jackie from California Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: The relaxing Cons: Being tied to a schedule and the expensive shore excursions The service was impecable. The food was above average for a cruise. The land excursions were a total rip off. You are forced to use the ships excursions in Russia if you don't have a visa. I would highly recommend booking an off shore excursion or getting your own visa. Or just do the sights only, they use the local souviener shops for your "shopping" tours rip off! Ship Quality

Copenhagen, Denmark
Helsinki, FinlandTHis was our favorite place very quaint.
St. Petersburg, Russian FederationDid a private car through the ship. Dont waste your time with the shopping and I am a shopaholic!! Very interesting city. We did the Pushkin palace that was beautiful, worth the money although it takes 2 hrs to get there because of the traffic, the dinner was below average and they nickle and dime you for everything.,, they wanted 2 euros for butter for the dry bread.
Also we did a private car the next day to St peterholf again the traffic was 1 1/2 to get there... with the cars being 450 dollars for 4 hrs was kind of rushed.
Don't Miss: hermitage, pushkin palace Stockholm, SwedenVery clean and beautiful!!! We would def go back and stay here for a week
Tallinn, Estonia
Warnemunde (Berlin), GermanyThe history there is great see the local sights.

Stateroom QualityThe stateroom was nice and the attention we received was excellent. Ship Staff QualityStaff was good. Cozumel, MexicoThe excursion we booked was a complete dissapointment.
Don't book Passion Island!
The description states that they take you on a catamaran ride out to the island.
We expected a sail boat catamaran, that wasn't the case what we got was a water taxi.
Once we arrived at the island - our lunch had been set for the previous guests -
The fruit looked like it had sat out for hours - flies were surrounding the rest of the meal and bees were enjoying the cocktail station. Not very appealing least to say appetizing. The tables had not been cleared from the guests that were departing - dirty plates left on tables and empty cups littered the area. The only good thing about this trip - there was hardly anyone there - and YES I can definitley understand why!! On the way back to not only did our tour guides come around with a tip bucket - the crew from the water taxi was also looking for handouts - we have been on numerous excursions and never witnessed this type of behavior.
Key West, FloridaWe docked at 8 and had to be back on the ship by 1 -
Not enough time to do much of anything.

Good Cruise, Could Have Been Better by
Mark M from Athens, GA Sailing date: Mar 2009Pros: The quality of the ship was superb! Very clean and easy to get around, friednly staff Cons: The food was dissapointing and overall entertainment not the best We were a group of ten on our senior spring break of college. We were not looking to do an MTV wild night but we were not looking to be in bed at 9 either. The celebrity century is a beautiful ship inside and out. The staterooms were big enough to fit three college guys and our steward took good care of us. Upon boarding we were given a glass of champagne and it certainly was a great way to say bon voyage. The food at the main dinner was a big letdown. Everything I had heard about celebrity was that the food was to be incredible, I found it to be just the opposite. The food was sub-par on most nights and tend to lack any real excitement.
The sushi bar was a great addition and the ability to order room service all hours of the night was helpful. All of the food shutdown so early though so you were forced to eat room service instead of go up for a midnight snack, no midnight buffet on Century. The drinks were not the cheapest, on average about $8 dollars a drink. The pools shutdown at 8 and that includes the hot tubs. The casino had very low-limits which made it more enjoyable to play as I would otherwise have no money left.
The shows were okay. It was a cruise ship and not Radio City Music Hall and I can understand that. We stopped at the Keys and on Grand Cayman, both islands were great and I really did have a great spring break. I just built up the food to be much better in my mind and it was a let-down. I don't really see what was so luxurious about Celebrity cruises. They don't make you feel like a celebrity, they make you feel like you should be lucky to get what you get. Ship QualityBeautiful Ship, well laid out. Dining/FoodNothing to write home about Stateroom Quality

Good Cruise for the Price by
Keith J from Athens, GA Sailing date: Mar 2009Pros: The 5-night cruise was competitively priced with other 3 and 4-night cruises. Cons: With the exception of free room service, all of the dining rooms shut down after 11pm. The cruise included everything one would expect with a typical trip. However, several corners were cut to save cost on their part. These cons include closing all dining rooms after 11pm, closing the pool and hot tub area at 8pm, and not providing significantly different food on the formal dinner night. Ship Quality

  What a great cruise by
Susan A from Milwaukee Wisconsin Sailing date: Feb 2009Pros: We didn't stop in Cayman Islands due to bad weather so wewent to Key West instead Cons: There is nothing not to like We began cruising on the CELEBRITY Century ship in the mid 1980's. At that time the ship had only a few cabins with verandas. The ship went to drydock to be remodeled and the result inlcuded the addition of a bazillion rooms with balconies. The ships shows a little age but it has a certain elegance of old about it - especially the grand staircase into the main dining room. We prefer the CELEBRITY line overall and have cruised on its other ships to Alaska as well as the Panama Canal. The ratio of staff to passenger is what makes the difference in terms of "service" and hospitality. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodWine list was extensive and very good wines were served. The Martini Bar was also a big hit. Stateroom QualityPenthouse suite - very roomy and a good sized veranda that housed two reclining lounge chairs, and a small table and two chairs. Nice heavy door rather than sliding patio doors. Overall comfort was excellent. Heating/cooling also worked very well. Ship Staff Qualitystaff to passenger ratio very good.

Ocho Rios, JamaicaWe have been in all parts of Jamaica several times, Ocho Rios has undergone a transformation over the past 5-8 years for the better. Dun's River Falls is a must see. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is also fun especially for us two "oldies." We had fun there watching the spring breakers do a number on themselves - and could they dance!!!

First Cruise - A great 5 Days by
Melissa M from Boston, MA Sailing date: Feb 2009Pros: Our Stateroom was great Cons: The pools were small and the hot tubs closed early My husband and I just got back from our 5 night sail on the Celebrity Century. This was our first cruise and I was a little nervous about how it would go, but it was wonderful. The ship was not only clean but beautiful. And even though the ship was full, it didn't feel crowded at all. There were always plenty of seats in the bar areas. My husband is vegan and they took special care of him all week. I am also vegetarian and found that there was plenty to eat. Te only thing that was a bit disappointing was that there were not many people our age on the boat. Despite what I had read about this being a more couples oriented time of year, most of the passengers were over 75. Ship QualityThe ship was clean and beautiful. The decor is simple and not over the top. The bathrooms were clean and attended to regularly. Dining/FoodWe found the quality of the food to be good. I am vegetarian and my husband is vegan so we required some special attention in the dinning room but the waiter was very helpful every night. They would show us the menu for the next day and f there wasn't something suitable they would make something specil at our request. The other dinig options were good. We certainly didn;t go hungry and we were able to find healthy options as well. The salad bar, stir-fry, made to order eggs, and plenty of fruit was available almost the whole time. The sushi bar at night was great also. Stateroom QualityI was really surprised with the stateroom. We had a balcony room with a double bed but were not in the concierge class. The room was very comfortable for two people, plenty of closet space, decent sized bathroom a comfortable bed and very nice linens. Out stateroom attendant was great. Our room was clean, there was always fresh water in the pitcher and turn down service was always done before we returned from dinner. My husband also had to have a shirt cleaned/pressed for dinner and that worked out great as well. Ship Staff QualityWe found most staff to be friendly and helpful. By the end of the week they knew our names and our drink orders at the coffee bar, martini bar, and in the grand dinning room. My only complaint would be the cocktail service at the pool side- but really it was just as easy to walk over to the bar and order. Entertainment & ActivitiesWe didn't attend any of the shows in the theater. There was an art auction that people seemed to be buzzing about. We did attend the island pool party and found the baked Alaska parade at dinner to be really entertaining. The trivia and name that tune they did during the day was OK. I also took a fantastic yoga class with Bjorn one morning, and aside from not having a great space the class was wonderful. I didn't have time to attend the cooking demos or wine talks.

Key West, FloridaWe enjoyed Key West. We walked all over downtown and got a smoothie at Help Yourself which was really good. We ate lunch at The Cafe which was right off Duval street. I had a piece of Key lime pie and it was so worth it. We enjoyed the conch train ride in the afternoon. It was great to sit and hear the history of the island. We wished we had rented bikes and went down to the beach on our own.
George Town, Grand CaymanWe booked one of the ship excursions for this port. We were on a tour with a really nice guide who took us to the beach, the Tortuga rum factory, the town of Hell, the Turtle Sanctuary, and then out to a boat so we could visit Sting Ray City. Seing feeling and kissing the sting rays was really wild. So glad we booked that, and it was a great 30 min boat ride out to the sand bar. We enjoyed seeing some of the island via the bus. Probably won;t be rushing back to Grand Caymen any time soon but we had fun.

  Excellent service, "meh" destinations by
Eric M. from Columbus, OH Sailing date: Jan 2009Pros: The service was fantastic, simply top-notch Cons: Jamaca was dirty & pushy, and weather kept us from Grand Cayman The Celebrity Century was a well laid-out, good looking ship. Moving around the ship was easy and straightforward and it was well- appointed with art. Reasonably smooth riding, though there was some rough weather one night and we did have some noticeable roll. There was on-going maintenance (painting balconies, varnishing rails, and the like) but it never interfered with any of our activities. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodWe did not eat in Murano, the specialty resturant, but the dining at the main one was alternatingly excellent and mediocre. Of the five nights, two dinners were outstanding, one was passable, and two were avereage. The presentation of food was excellent, but the taste, consistancy, and choices were sometimes lacking; i.e., the cremebrule one night had incredible flavor, but was liquid, literally runny. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff QualityWe never once passed a crew-member that did not stop whatever they were doing to say "Hello." The service was just remarkable, all aspects were wonderful.
Collapse List of Ports
Ocho Rios, JamaicaWe found Ocho Rios to be dirty, vastly over-priced, and the people there were pushy. Dunn's Falls was great, but even that was just another series of vendors to avoid and hard-selling "guides" with DVD's or tapes of your "adventure."

It was truly a wonderful experience! by
A Traveler from Fl. Sailing date: Oct 2008Pros: The staff was exceedingly accomodation and very professional, the food was delicious and served with utmost flair. Cons: I was very dissafied with my room, it was below a staff activety room and was noisy until late into the night. If there is one thing I would address with the outlay of the ship, it is that some of the rooms were either below or above venues that served to intertain or activety room. that may it very difficult to enjoy any time in my room, both during the day for relaxasion, or at night.
The television channel that was serving as a teaching tool and history lesson for upcomming excursions was unclear and the volume was very low. These are the only two things that I would like to see be rectified. Otherwise, the whole experience was absolutely top rate with a very professional staff, in particular the cruise director. He was simply amazing and had a very engaging personality.
Sincerely, Ms. McIntosh

  Nice Cruise by
claudio G from West palm Beach florida Sailing date: Oct 2008Pros: Plenty of things to do on ship Cons: The room is way too small The experience was pretty good. However a couple of things to be aware of:First the staterooms are too small for 3 people. The third person has to be able to climb steps to get to a bunk bed. This is better for a child. We did not have a balcony ,next time I would reccommend a balcony since window can not be opened. The room can be very confining. This is a fast paced cruise if you want to visit the cities from the port. You should reasonably fit. There is a lot of walking.Overall the experience was good ,however I prefer to stay at a hotel next time too spend more quality time in the city I am visiting.
