It was truly a wonderful experience! by A Traveler from Fl.
Sailing date: Oct 2008

Pros:
The staff was exceedingly accomodation and very professional, the food was delicious and served with utmost flair.

Cons:
I was very dissafied with my room, it was below a staff activety room and was noisy until late into the night.

If there is one thing I would address with the outlay of the ship, it is that some of the rooms were either below or above venues that served to intertain or activety room. that may it very difficult to enjoy any time in my room, both during the day for relaxasion, or at night. The television channel that was serving as a teaching tool and history lesson for upcomming excursions was unclear and the volume was very low. These are the only two things that I would like to see be rectified. Otherwise, the whole experience was absolutely top rate with a very professional staff, in particular the cruise director. He was simply amazing and had a very engaging personality. Sincerely, Ms. McIntosh

2012 Celebrity Century review by Dean O from Minnesota
Sailing date: Mar 2012

Pros:
Food, Stateroom Service, Ship Cleanliness and Interior quality, Shows

Cons:
Mandatory 15 percent across the board gratuity, disco closed for crew party all night

Excellent overall, on par with Princess, very good cruise program director and shows, food excellent for dinner and good for all other meals, late night so great - high average age of passengers meant not many people to party and dance with late if you like that sort of thing, very few singles, overall service was excellent, music entertainment geared for the older crowd

What a great cruise by Susan A from Milwaukee Wisconsin
Sailing date: Feb 2009

Pros:
We didn't stop in Cayman Islands due to bad weather so wewent to Key West instead

Cons:
There is nothing not to like

We began cruising on the CELEBRITY Century ship in the mid 1980's. At that time the ship had only a few cabins with verandas. The ship went to drydock to be remodeled and the result inlcuded the addition of a bazillion rooms with balconies. The ships shows a little age but it has a certain elegance of old about it - especially the grand staircase into the main dining room. We prefer the CELEBRITY line overall and have cruised on its other ships to Alaska as well as the Panama Canal. The ratio of staff to passenger is what makes the difference in terms of "service" and hospitality.

Penthouse suite - very roomy and a good sized veranda that housed two reclining lounge chairs, and a small table and two chairs. Nice heavy door rather than sliding patio doors. Overall comfort was excellent. Heating/cooling also worked very well.

Pleasant, late season cruise to Alaska by Gian G. from San Diego, CA
Sailing date: Sep 2011

Pros:
Food in the main dining room was excellent along with the service from the wait staff. The entertainment on the ship was top notch every night and there were plenty of activities to do

Cons:
The ship is a little bit smaller and older than the gigantic ships that are being churned out by Celebrity and the other cruise lines. This ship felt a little old and needs a re-model. The activites are geared towards an older crowd.

The ship itself felt a little dated but was adequate for our cruise itenerary, Some of the lounges were a bit small for the activities being conducted and often times got crowded. The theater was good sized and there were a great array of shows every night. The dining in the Grand Restaurant was excellent every night and our 2 waiters were top notch in service, while the buffet in the Island Cafe left a little to be desired. The hours were a little short as well (closed at 9:30 every night), so if you had a late day on shore and came back after that all that was available was pizza. The cinema was small and was indoors unlike the Movies Under the Stars that Princess Cruise Lines has on their ships.

Ship was easy to navigate and you could be anywhere within 5 minutes. The pool area was a little small and only 1 pool was heated so that was quite crowded. Theater was nice for shows. The Martini Bar was the site of many activities but was too small a venue for many of them.

Dining/Food
I only give this a "good" rating because of the buffet. The main dining room was excellent and I would recommend eating there every night if possible. The buffet was OK for breakfast but was the same every day. You can only eat eggs, bacon, and sausage so many times before you start to feel sick to your stomach. The dinner and lunch buffet times were too short and left much to be desired. I did like the ice cream bar that was open for much of the day.

Comfortable for what it is meant for...sleeping and taking a shower. Not a great place to hang out. The bed was adequate but nothing special. The windows in the oceanview staterooms were a little bigger than I thought they would be. The TV's were too small and had a very limited number of channels. Shower curtains were a little moldy and should have been changed out along with the carpet. Closets smelled musty.

The best ship staff I have ever had the pleasure of being around. Everybody is friendly and willing to talk with you. The cruise director staff did a great job with the Celebrity Life Activities and were very accessible and personable.

Entertainment & Activities
I only thing I didn't like was that some of the activities overlapped each other and I wasn't able to do all of them. This cruise is geared towards an older crowd so there were not a lot of night time activities.

This trip was awesome! by A Traveler from Colorado
Sailing date: Mar 2011

Pros:
We loved the intimate atmosphere on the Celebrity Century, affording rest, relaxation, fun activities and excellent service

Cons:
What's not to like?

Although the Celebrity Century is not a large cruise ship, we enjoyed all the same luxuries and service we would have on a larger ship. The price was amazing, the food was wonderful, the staff were excellent, the ports of call had plenty of fun activities to do, and we returned from this trip feeling more rested and relaxed than at any other time. We can't wait to go to Alaska next!

Terrific Food, Michael's Club Piano bar,

Great traveling hotel by Tom H. from Baltimore, MD
Sailing date: Oct 2009

Pros:
Quality of the sit-down dinners

Cons:
Quality of the buffet

Good ship and excellent dinners in the main dining room. Quality of the buffet, however, was low. As in all cruises, avoid the excursions, which are overpriced and don't allow you to get a good feel for the ports and their surrounding areas -- set out on your own instead, using local transportation. The ship's staff was hard-working and upbeat. On-ship entertainment was not a highlight.
