Awesome family cruise by
Kathryn W. from Wichita Falls, TX Sailing date: Sep 2011Pros: everything Cons: nothing This was our second time on the Freedom of the Seas, but the first time with kids. We had a blast, and so did they. They loved the Adventure Ocean program, and the Dream Works experience, and we enjoyed the break. The ship offers so many fantastic options that you could never be bored. The friendly dining room staff are eager to please, and our room attendant was so sweet as well. These people truly take pride in what they do. Also, the shows are PHENOMENAL!!! Ship QualityIt is a beautiful and clean ship. Dining/FoodThe food is very good, but the staff are AMAZING! They truly make the whole experience Stateroom QualityThe staterooms are very clean and in good condition. We had an outdoor stateroom, but was a little tight with two kids. I would suggest an adjoining stateroom next time. Ship Staff QualityThey are so helpful and kind. Entertainment & ActivitiesTop notch 'broadway' style shows. PHENOMENAL cast Children's ProgramsFun, fun, fun! The kids are well taken care of and have a great time!

  AWESOME Cruise by
Diane D from Eagan, Minnesota Sailing date: May 2011Pros: The staff, the food, accommondations, activities, the band by the poolside and friendliness Cons: waiting for elevators- especially when the ship docked and everyone was trying to catch elevators at the same time. This was my families first cruise and we enjoyed it so much that we are already planning to travel again. While on board we were treated like royalty. The staff knew us by name and really made us feel welcomed. It was very sad to leave after being on boar for 7 nights. I could really get use to this type of travel and treatment. I have probably convinced everyone I know to take a cruise with RC. Ship QualityThe ship was very clean . I never seen anything out of order. It is a big ship and I admit that I was not able to see everything on board. THe things that I did see were great. Dining/FoodThe resturants offered a large variety of foods and beverages. I enjoyed having the specific seating times for the formal dining hall. It gave me something to look forward to every night. We also went to Chops to celebrate a birthday and the service was also great. Stateroom QualityI would say that we had a nice size state room. Our room attendent was amazing and was always willing to assist with any of our needs. Ship Staff QualityTHe staff was great and alwys went above and beyond to accommadate our family. I really miss them . Entertainment & ActivitiesThere is lots to do on the ship. Every night we received a schedule of activities for the next day. The only thing that was disappointing was the water areboics instructor and even with that , we were able to laugh. Children's ProgramsMy 7 year old nephew had a ball and didn't want to go home after the cruise was over. 5 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

  Our First Cruise by
Sheila Z. from Normal, IL Sailing date: Apr 2010Pros: The customer service by the staff of Royal Caribbean was excelllent!! Cons: Be prepared for the extra costs. They will try to get you to buy drinks, jewerly, etc... This was our first cruise. Overall we were very impressed with the customer service and the variety of activities on the ship. We chose to pre-pay for excursions but found out that it isn't absolutley necessary to do ahead of time. There was a nice variety of families and couples on the ship. The ship had designated areas and shows for adults, teens, and children. We would definately sail on this ship again. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodWe chose to do "My time dinning" and that worked well for us. Stateroom QualityOur room had a balcony and it was well worth the extra money. Ship Staff Quality

Cozumel, MexicoWe tried the Jungle buggy ride. It was more a ride on the coast but very enjoyable. This port had many activites to chose from.
Don't Miss: Mayan Ruins Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)This was a nice place to sit and relax on the beach.
George Town, Grand CaymanWe took a bus tour that stopped at a "pirate cave" It reminded me of a tourist attraction from the 70"s.
Ocho Rios, JamaicaYou have many options here. Be aware of the agressive shop owners though

Wonderful time at Freedom of the Seas by
A Traveler from Tampa, FL Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The Bolero Club with the latin band. Cons: 0 We just came back home from Freedom of the Seas. This cruiseship is out of this world. The personnel, entertainment and service were superior. we danced every night at the Bolero Club with the latin band. Ship Quality14 floors full of beauty and entertainment. Dining/FoodWe looked forward for dinner time, no so much for the food, but for the service. Our table service was completed by an entertainer and a magician, great combination. Those guys really went our of their way to make that moment special. Stateroom QualityVery Clean, close to elevators. Ship Staff QualityI must mentioned James and Gomez, a superior team at the dining table. Our best wishes to both of them. Entertainment & ActivitiesAll shows were Las Vegas style........Lou Davis, the Magician*****GREAT 28 out of 29 people found this review helpful.

Perhaps our best cruise experience by
Tom M. from Aurora, CO Sailing date: Mar 2013Pros: The ship Cons: Rough seas the last night We've been on eight cruises. This one will go down as number one or two for the overall experience. The ship is lovely. The food was excellent. The crew was delightful. The only negatives that we experienced were weather related, something that Royal CAribbean can't do anything about. Ship Quality
