Great cruise, Great Value!!!!
by Dan S. from Palm Harbor, FL
Sailing date:
Jul 2012
Pros:
Ship's company, great events, etc......
Cons:
Can't think of a single negative!!!
Courteous staff from embarkation to disembarkation. Clean, comfortable accommodations. Training of the ship's company was a high priority. Makes the traveler at ease knowing they take my safety so seriously.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
All of the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and modern.
Dining/Food
If a person wants something different at each meal, or the same favorites, everyone can be pleased. And pleased we were!!!!!
Stateroom Quality
Clean comfortable accommodations! A good nights rest meant plenty of energy for the next day's events.
Ship Staff Quality
Virtually invisible. The functions of running a ship of this size is considerable. Most of those functions went unnoticed by the average passenger. However, when help was needed, the ship's staff was eager to please.
Entertainment & Activities
A good mix of entertainment events meant little time for boredom.

Pros:
So much to do on the ship
Cons:
Eating spots closing at 2:30 PM SHARP!!!
Ship was much larger and had more things to do than the one that goes out of Galveston. The employees were all so nice.

The Chef's Table was FABULOUS!!!!!! Wished that so many of the dining spots wouldn't close at 2:30 sharp.

The BEST value for your money
by Michelle Rexach from Tampa, FL
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
Relaxing, fun, exciting, memorable and delicious all in one!
Cons:
Not enough hot tubs or pools
LOVE Carnival. We are avid cruisers, been on almost every cruise line. Carnival is definitely the best value for the money and the most FUN hands down.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
My ONLY critique is not enough pool space and hot tubs. These are a very important part of a cruise!!

A nice cruise
by Stephanie S. from Jacksonville, Fl.
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
The staff
Cons:
Rough seas and ship rocked alot and food not the greatest
The food was not the greatest and not worth the trip. The staff was awesome and enjoyed them alot. The exgersion (Sail and Snorkel) was awful. Why too many people and while in the water you got hit by people and their were large waves. The weather was getting bad but they still went out. If not for the staff it really would have been the worst cruise.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Always seemed to be hot during the day. Our room sleeped like smoke.
Dining/Food
Way to fansey and needed to be better. Desert were like they came premade. I ordered a cake for our anniversary and was horrible/cheap.
Stateroom Quality
Very cheap looking-like I was in a trailer.
Ship Staff Quality
The were the best part of the trip.
Entertainment & Activities
Enjoyed my Thriller dance class and other shows.

Awesome Time
by Cruz from Florida
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
Upscale Dinner
Cons:
Small pool
The ship experience was good, but it wasn't great that the pool was small so during the day there wasn't much to do on the boat besides sitting on the beach chairs. At night there was a lot more to do. The comedy shows were great and so was the couples show. I wish transportation at the ports was included to get to the areas of the beach and known places. The ship simply parks and you have to pay to get to any location.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The crew maintain the ship impeccably clean! And they are also super friendly.
Dining/Food
Dinner was the best I've had anywhere here at home. The ambiance is relaxing, the staff is super friendly and the food is super fresh. You can definitely tell that the food was prepared and not simply defrosted from a bag.
Stateroom Quality
The room was very clean, but the bathroom could use some updating.
Ship Staff Quality
Best personnel I've ever met. They truly do their best to meet all expectations and go beyond.

Carnival never again
by Katelyn from Ft. Myers, FL
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
Art Auction
Cons:
Food
Ship seemed outdated. The kid pool area with waterslide was fun, but rest of ship was pretty mediocre. This was my 4th cruise but my 1st time on Carnival and was very unimpressed. The entertainment was poor and the theatre itself was nothing extravagant. The service in the dining room was extremely slow and the wait for the food was not worthwhile. I had high expectations for the dining room and I would prefer going to an Applebee's or TGIFridays than eat that food. The staff seemed highly unprofessional, for example during a comedy show I observed 3 staff standing by the bar and drinking cocktails. My experience was definitely not helped by the fact that the one day at sea we were stuck in cloudy/stormy weather the entire day.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Needs to be udpated. First thoughts were it looks very 80's.
Dining/Food
Service extremely slow. In the dining room I waited 10 minutes with an empty glass and had to ask the server to refill my water. Waitstaff was not very personable. The buffet area did not have many options, except the deli was good. Overall food was disgusting. I was excited to try the Sushi Bar. How could you screw up a California Roll? Well, Carnival did it. I would take grocery store sushi over that sushi.
Stateroom Quality
Stateroom was average. I was pleased with the size of the shower compared to other cruise lines. However I did notice a dead fly on my bathroom sink for over 3 days.
Ship Staff Quality
They were highly unprofessional and service was extremely slow. Though I do give kudos to the cruise director Jimmy. He was very enthusiastic and humorous.
Entertainment & Activities
I am not a comedy person but the comedians onboard were pretty hilarious. The Carnival shows were very tacky. I did enjoy the Love & Marriage show because the cruise director was hilarious. I also enjoyed the hip hop dancers onboard as well as the art auctions.

1st time cruisers
by Jeff S from Lexington, Ky
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
Extremely friendly staff, lots of activities,
Cons:
uncomfortable bed, food
Overall the ship was very nice (coming from someone that's never been on one!), but there was an odd smell which we got used to pretty quick. Onboard spending was way more than we expected. Alcohol, cokes and even juice were at regular bar prices - I'd even say airport price. Mixed drinks averaged $7.50, some higher, and beer (domestic only) ran about $6.50. Maybe that's average, but we weren't prepared for it and it was disappointing. If you drink, budget HIGH.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The staff cleaned on the ship all the time, so I think the odd smell was just age. Easy to get around, yet plenty to do and see.
Dining/Food
Disappointed in the buffet food - OK, but not amazing as I'd always heard and expected. The Fantasy dining room was better, but small portions and still not 5-star.
Stateroom Quality
We had an interior room on the bottom (you get what you pay for). It was cleaned twice a day and had plenty of room as all we did was sleep and shower in it, but the bed was lumpy, worn in the middle and not at all comfortable.
Ship Staff Quality
ALL the staff were over the top friendly, learning our names and waiting on us hand over foot. From the managers to the room steward, they made the cruise fantasic for us.
Entertainment & Activities
Lots of activities to choose from: vegas style shows, comedy club, dancing, casino's, pool parties, bingo, etc.
