An Amazing Cruise
by Bernard F from Moorpark, CA
Sailing date:
Jun 2012
Pros:
The sights were very beautiful and the staff was fantastic. The excursions were terrific and the sightseeing was incredible.
Cons:
The sale of gemstones in the duty-free shop. The stones were much more expensive than they should have been and one of the staff even told me the Alexandrite was from Russia and natural when natural Alexandrite was mined out in Russia many years ago. The price for ammolite was also out of line.
The ship was very clean with many interesting things to do and great restaurants. The staff was incredible and very helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the views and fresh air from the balcony was fantastic. We loved the Casino and the various bars and restaurants on board
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship layout was excellent and kept very clean. Our room was very comfortable and the balcony really made our trip. Even the bathrooms were fantastic.
Dining/Food
The food was generally very good, but it could have been better. We did have some delightful meals at Cagney's steakhouse, Le Bistro, and Moderno. Our meal at Mama's was not very good and everything was cold.
Stateroom Quality
Our stateroom was a home away from home and was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was much better than I would have thought, and we loved the layout of the room, the laundry service, our steward, and the spacious balcony.
Ship Staff Quality
The staff on board the ship was really very very good. Our steward, Rickardo (room 11032) was excellent and always kept the room clean. We loved Satanto at the Star Bar and Rey and the other bar staff at Shaker's. They really kept us entertained. Oleg at Cagney's was very good to us as was Joesephine at Le Bistro.
Entertainment & Activities
We really enjoyed the entertainment while aboard the Norwegian Jewel. The Le Cirque Bijou show was very entertaining as was the show by the magician/comedian.

BEST cruise EVER!
by Stef D. from New York, NY
Sailing date:
Mar 2012
Pros:
Amazing music, food, entertainment and energy!
Cons:
Too short!
From the moment I stepped on the ship, I felt excellent. The cabin stewards were extremely hospitable and friendly. There was always multiple forms of entertainment every night, acrobats, hypnotists, live bands, game shows, etc. The weather was beautiful, the food was excellent and never ending. I was so sad eating my last omelette before leaving the ship. I can't wait to sail again!

by Deb D from Connecticut

Pros:
Clean, friendly, great food, good entertainment
Cons:
the main buffett area was over crowded at times
Can't figure out how something so large stays afloat, however, despite 18 foot seas one night, no motion sickness issues and slept like a rock.

Dining/Food
No need to pay for the specialty dining, as the complementary choices were all very, very good.

Amazing cruise!!!
by Amanda B. from New York
Sailing date:
Jan 2012
Pros:
the food, service, and cleanliness
Cons:
the dj at the club played the same music
I thought the ship was very nice and clean. The service was very, very well and everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and very well prepared. Freestyle dining is definitely a lot better than having a set time to eat.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Freestlye dining is very convenient and the dining rooms are very well decorated.
Stateroom Quality
The inside cabins were pretty roomy, the bathroom was a decent size and the shower had a actual shower door unlike carnival cruises.
Ship Staff Quality
The staff was very helpful, for example, i wanted to have some more soft rolls at dinner and our waitress called the other main dining room to check for more bread to bring it back to us.
Entertainment & Activities
The duo elegia show was outstanding!! they should have their own show in vegas or ny. The comedy/magic show of JP was also outstanding and he should also have his own show headlining in a major city.

First Class All the Way
by Mike from Philadelphia PA
Sailing date:
Jan 2010
Pros:
Service, trips, service, spa, SERVICE
Cons:
Drink prices
As firist-time cruisers, we can not compare to other ships. But we found the stateroom layout comfortable, VERY clean ship, well-maintained.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Modern, clean, all the public areas were attractive and comfortable. I cant believe people still smoke -- we avoided the casino because of the smoking.
Dining/Food
Twenty meals, great food, and only one inattentive waiter. We were always seated quickly, usually waited on promptly, and the cuisine was top-notch.
Stateroom Quality
Cleaned twice a day. Comfortable cabin, though cozy (small).
Ship Staff Quality
Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, without being intrusive. From the cruise director to the busboys, everyone had a great POSITIVE attitude.
Entertainment & Activities
The daily schedule was a bit overwhelming. Plenty to do, but the schedule was difficult to read and remember.

What a great trip!
by Michelle K. from New York, NY
Sailing date:
Jan 2009
Pros:
The food, the rooms and the entertainment
Cons:
For first time cruisers the check out process was a little confusing. Would have also liked more time on each island.
The ship was huge, but the rooms were cozy and each public area was inviting and clean. Restaurants were great too!
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
There were hand sanitzers on every elevator, every stairwell and every restuarant - i never felt so clean! Everything was easy to find and easy to get to.
Dining/Food
Loved the freestyle crusing - I would do anything else in the future! It allowed my boyfriend and I to continue spending quality time together without having to talk to strangers. There were plenty of options that were included and they were all open for at least 4 hours, so we never waited!
Stateroom Quality
The room was cozy but had a big closet and so much storage and drawers, we unpacked our entire suitcase! The shower pressure was great too.
Ship Staff Quality
All staff were great from the resturant staff to the stateroom stewards!
Entertainment & Activities
So many options and all of the showers we went to were top quality. The imrpov group was the best I've ever seen!

Our sub trip was cancelled because of water conditions, but this allowed up to walk around and do a lot of shopping. The stores are very open to negitiating on prices!
George Town, Grand Cayman
We did a dolphin excursion at Dolphin Cove which was so fun and the drive to and from was great to see the island. Wish I had more time to shop but the excursion took most of the time there.

Beyond Relaxing!!
by Candy from Treasure Island, Fl, USA
Sailing date:
Apr 2007
Pros:
The Freestyle cruising. The choice of restaurants and seating times was a real pleasure.
We had 7 days to relax and unwind. We were pampered and treated so well that the shore excursions proved to be just a bonus. I could have stayed on the ship 24/7. We will definitely come back and bring our friends.
