A Delightful Cruise
by Traci M from Minnesota
Sailing date:
Feb 2010
Pros:
Ship activities and food. Excellent Service
Cons:
Enjoyed Everything about it
We sailed the Liberty Carnival with 2 very small children. Our accomodations were wonderful. The food was great. Kids Club was a lot of fun for our children. There was great communication from the on board director. Many things to do on and off ship. We sailed the western carribean and Jamacia was our favorite stop. We would sail again with Liberty Carnival!! Thanks for all the great memories.

Awesome time on the Carnival Liberty
by Michelle K from Boston, MA
Sailing date:
Jan 2010
Pros:
The friendly and courteous staff!
Cons:
The reserving of deck chairs-even though it's technically not allowed everyone did it
This was my first cruise and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would! I was with a group of 6 people including family and friends. There were so many things to do it was hard to choose - I loved the availability of food at various times as it was easy to get distracted and lose track of time. I enjoyed both pools, especially the quieter (no kids allowed) adult pool in the stern. Also the hot tubs were nice to relax in. We ate at the Silver Olympian the later seating which was perfect for us. We also ate at Harry's Steak House one night and it was delicious. As a matter of fact all of the food was really awesome. The pizza place near the adult pool was open 24 hours and we took advantage of that several times. We also had sushi which was really good at the small sushi counter near the casino. We went to most of the bars/clubs on the ship, but our favorites were the pool bars, the casino bar and the piano bar which had a wonderful performer Brad who really kept the party going with his r rated sing alongs - great fun!! I thought the stop in Cozumel was the best mostly because of the amount of shore time being the longest. We took a van/driver to a beach about 20 minutes from the ship and had a great time. We went to Grape beach on Grand Cayman and it was just beautiful too. In Ocho Rios we did the Chukka zip line and river float which was fabulous and I highly recommend. The staff on the Liberty was amazingly friendly and really did everything they could to make our vacation memorable. Our cabin steward and our dinner servers and the bar servers all have amazing memories and within a day or two were greeting us by name! Kudos also to Butch the cruise director - he had lots of enthusiasm and fun activities every day. Overall a great time on a wonderful ship!

Pros:
Amazing food and outstanding service
Cons:
Many kids
The Carnival Liberty is a great ship, just big enough to accomodate the 3000+ people staying there. The food is incredible and i've never had better customer service. There were so many activities it was impossible to be bored. I absolutely will cruise with Carnival again because of this experience.

amazing relaxing getaway!
by Catherine B. from Long Island, NY
Sailing date:
Feb 2009
Pros:
timeliness, friendly staff, lots of options for onboard fun
Cons:
nothing!
It had been about 10 years since I had last been on a cruise. And I was completely impressed with this ship - I liked even better than the line I had been on once before! Everything was very organized upon the arrival and leading all the way up to departure. The friendliness of the staff was phenomenal and everyone was so helpful!
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Lidia, our stewardess, was phenomenal! She introduced herself and her assistant on the first day and everyday we saw them we were greeted with big warm smiles!
Dining/Food
Our waitress and waiter, Kostadinka and Gabor, were awesome! They were so helpful and very personable. At night it felt like we were sitting down with long lost relatives.
Stateroom Quality
On the Orbitz site we chose a room that said it was an interior room but stated that the location was an oceanview room. We didn't expect that at all so when we got to the room we literally jumped up and down because we saw the huge window and it was jus great!

My friend and I took a Mexican Cooking and Tasting class and were able to spend a little over an hour at the beach. It was so gorgeous! It really felt like we were in paradise. We went back to the ship to relax for a little then hit the port again at night to do some shopping.
Don't Miss:
The beaches.
George Town, Grand Cayman
We took a tour with 4 other guests on the Liberty and our driver, Christine, was amazing! She was born and raised in Grand Cayman so she had a lot of history of the island, which was really nice. We did some shopping and found a computer to make free phone calls home from a souvenir shop, I don't remember the name, but you had to walk up a flight of stairs.
Don't Miss:
Hell
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Some of the people you came across in Ocho Rios were sketchy. I'm from NY and I'm used to people coming up and trying to sell you stuff, but you say "no" twice and they leave you alone. In Jamaica, they don't let up. We walked up the falls and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! The guides, Shaw and Peeping Tom (cameraman), were really fun. Our tour bus guide, Marie, was really cool too. But once you were alone outside the port we were just bombarded. You have to have a thick skin or just stay on a tour.

Absolutely Fabulous!!!
by Jessica P from Troy, MI
Sailing date:

Pros:
The excursions on the islands
Cons:
Being charged for non-alchoholic beverages
The ship was wonderful. Overall very clean. The crew was extremely friendly and willing to go above and beyond at all times. There were plenty of activities to choose from and the shows were exceptional. The room was a good size and the service was excellent.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The bathrooms were always clean. The dining areas were beautiful. The main entertainment rooms were absolutely stunning.
Dining/Food
The food was five star. We had an open seating so we could choose out dining time. That was very convenient.
Stateroom Quality
The beds are so comfortable!!!
Ship Staff Quality
The wait staff is top notch. One evening, we were running late for a show. The waiter himself went to the kitchen to get our desserts just so we could make the beginning of the show. He was absolutely wonderful!!
Entertainment & Activities
the activities did not always interest us, but they had plenty of them and the instructions were always given clearly. The ship cruise director was excellent.

The residence of Ponce De Leon was beautiful. The sunset over the ocean stunning. We took a tour through the town and it was very enjoyable. We did not get to go to the rainforest. Heard it is a must see- next trip!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.
The shopping was not that great unless you were in the market for jewelry or watches. The souvenirs were overpriced and mostly made in China. We did not eat on the island, heard the food was good though. The beach and view at Magan's Bay Beach is a DO NOT MISS!!! Blackbeard's Castle was nice as well. Beautiful view from the top of the tower.
Don't Miss:
Magan's Bay....Breathtaking!
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
The french side of the island is so much more elaborate and beautiful. The shopping there is also better, especially in Marigot. The locals make a lot of the items that is sold. The views from the island were gorgeous.
Don't Miss:
The shopping in Marigot

Exceptional service. We had the best din
by A Traveler from Jaffrey, NH, USA
Sailing date:
Sep 2007
Pros:
The fine dinning and careing staff.
Except for the meet and greet staff at the airport our cruise was nicer than my highest expectations. The ships staff are warm, caring and highly proffessional. I am anxious to take my next cruise. Please work on improving the meet and greet staff as that was my first contact. My initial response was that I could only hope that our cruise wouldn't be such a bad experience. The cruise was great.
