Fantastic Cruise
by Nicole W from Toronto, Ontario
Sailing date:
Feb 2012
Pros:
The staff!
Cons:
Everything was amazing
I was very impressed with everything from embarkation to debarkation! The roaming photographers helped make wonderful memories, the entertainment staff did a fabulous job of keeping the energy up! Thanks Karl with a K, Andy Showers and Josh! The ship was clean and beautiful. The food - what can one say? It was plentiful, delicious and a very impressive variety. Make sure you go to Harry's Steakhouse, the extra cost is totally worth it!

by Deb T from Minnesota
Sailing date:

Pros:
It was nice to have a couple days of free beaches, no extra cost.
This was a nice ship with some new bars and food places. This was our 5th cruise ans enjoyed it as usual. Great crew on the ship.

I just wish they would open before noon for lunch and before 6pm for super, we like to eat just a little earlier. You can always get other snack food, but I like healthier food at night.

Great Cruise
by Caroline S from Logan, UT
Sailing date:
Feb 2012
Pros:
People, Destinations, Shows, Comedy, Dancing
Cons:
Morbid Obesity rates, seeing people shovel food in, smoking
I loved this ship. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The morning yoga was wonderful, veggie options offered daily, treadmills were great. Didn't like the smoking, the over-consumption of food, the push to drink large quantities of alcohol. The comedy and evening dancing shows were wonderful. Loved the dance lessons! Great to see talented people.

The Carnival Liberty was gorgeous, clean, nice layout.
Dining/Food
Food was great overall. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Also, veggie options available. The serving staff was exceptional and kind. It would have been nice to have some whole grain options like brown rice, whole wheat rolls... lots of white bread, rolls. Lots of options for eating overall. Just drank water at all meals.

Carnival Liberty is Terrible!
by Evelyn H. from United States
Sailing date:
Jan 2012
Pros:
Not much at all.
Cons:
Just about e everything, especially he confusing layout of the ship.
The layout was terrible and very difficult to get to certain places. Had to take elevators to a certain place, then take other elevators different levels up or down to try to get where you needed to. Very few directions and even the staff were confused and not sure. On the 2nd day at sea, the ship tipped to a 45 degree angle, having chairs, plates, glasses, etc., crashing to the floor. The pool emptied out halfway. It was very scary for everyone on deck. The menu at the restaurant was so bad, we never once had dinner at the restaurant and preferred eating on the Lido deck. Shows were too late in the evening. music was blaring much more than it should have been, not allowing you to read and relax.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
I actually complained about a bathroom where the toilet paper was all over the floor. It was filthy. The pool help did nothing and ignored my comment.
Dining/Food
Restaurant menu was horrible. Beef stroganoff? Please! The best place to eat was at the Fish and Chips but it was only open a couple hours a day, around noon time.
Stateroom Quality
The girls did a good job cleaning. But there was little room to move around the room.
Ship Staff Quality
Most of the staff were unfriendly and were not familiar with the ship, since they were so uninformed. This included Guest Services who gave us wrong information.
Entertainment & Activities
Too late. You could not enjoy the poolside activities due to the blaring of the music. The shows were too late at night for us to attend.

Western Caribbean Cruise--Recommended
by Malcolm S. from Fresno, CA
Sailing date:
Nov 2011
Pros:
The excursions
Cons:
Premium restaurant and dining room food.
The shows and entertainment have siginificantly reduced in quality over the last few years--but, this is true on all lines we have traveled in the last 5 years. Cozumel and Belize were ok stops, as long as you stayed in the tourist areas. Beautiful geography but profound poverty in the inhabitants' standard of living...nothing the cruise companies can do about that. Mahogany Bay on Roatan was the most scenic, followed closely by Grand Cayman--just for sheer beauty. The Dolphin Experience in Roatan and the up-close and personal contact with the stingrays on the Barrier Reef in Grand Cayman were incredibly enjoyable. Very well done by the vendors, too. All-in-all a good cruise.

Barrier Reef snorkeling--awesome, but very short in duration.
Cozumel, Mexico
We took an excursion provided by Orbitz--ATV exploration of Mayan ruins and rain forest--Excellent!! Carnival should look into contracting this vendor.
Don't Miss:
ATV tour of rainforest and Mayan sites.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Any of the stingray excursions are highly recommended.
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Dolphin experience and swim.

A great experience!
by Jim B from Colorado Springs, CO
Sailing date:
Sep 2011
Pros:
Service and crew were great, excursions were well worth the money and time.
Cons:
The final statement for the cruise was a shocker. It would be nice to have some idea of how much was spent on a daily basis.
For our first cruise this was an excellent experience. Great service. Had great time on the excursions and the people running the excursions made them fun.

Artha our cabin steward was great. our stateroom was always clean and ready for us in both the mornings and afternoon. All of the staff on board were pleasant and eager to please.
Dining/Food
The only complaint I have about the food is the scrambled eggs were watery and seemed to be of the powdered egg type. Other than that the food was one of the things that made our experiences on board so enjoyable.
Stateroom Quality
Enjoyed having the balcony and being able to sit out on it and enjoy a glass of wine or drink in the evening. The stewards were excellent and kept the stateroom clean and worth coming back to after long days in port.
Ship Staff Quality
Always friendly and ready to help you with anything that was needed.

Cons:
the pool because it was salty water they should have at least one pool with regular water.
It was ok I think it could have more animate activities with the people at the boat. The food was good. I think all the people who work at the ship was very friendly.
