Find another cruise line by
Jen from philadelphia, PA Sailing date: Aug 2012Pros: The excursions Cons: A lot 6 day cruise turned into a 4 day cruise due to a hurricane that passed the day before. The 2 beauitful ports we were supposed to stop in were cancelled & we stopped in Mexico & Honduras instead.I realize the cruise line cannot control the weather conditions but they handled the whole situation very poorly. Carnival left passengers in the dark & were completely disorganized. They made us wait at the airport for 6 hours &
then buses came & they herded us like cattle to a convention center for another 8 hrs (6,000 people). They never even told us we were not going to the port when the buses came. Halfway there, the driver told us. They would give us a time & when the time came, they would push it back a few more hours. The food was just okay, we couldnt get into the nice (pay) restaurant bc there was always a waiting list. They offered room service but didn't provide us with a menu until the last day. This was our first cruise so anytime we needed help the majority of staff did not understand English. Long lines. Our a/c in room hardly worked. I just wish we would've cancelled. We had 2 good days. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodBuffet was just okay. The dining room was decent but offered very small portions & the pasta was never cooked long enough. Stateroom QualityThe room was nice. The a/c was not adequate, could not sleep at night with the blanket on. Ship Staff QualityMost of the staff did not speak English & you had to wait in a very long line at the help desk. Entertainment & ActivitiesOffered a magic show & when we showed up it was changed to a comic act. Children's ProgramsA lot of events and games for kids 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Most relaxing vacation I've ever had! by
Michelle S from Charlotte NC Sailing date: Aug 2012Pros: Almost everything! The food, entertainment, room, beauty of the ocean and the islands. Cons: Not very happy with one shore excursion, horseback riding in Jamaica, and uncomfortable deck lounges The ship was beautifully decorated inside and out, it was like sailing on a five star hotel. The A/C was a little too high for my comfort on the inside of the ship, and I thought the deck lounges were uncomfortable to sit on after about 15 minutes, unless you had two towels to sit on. Other than that, it was excellent! Ship Quality

Ship Staff QualityI would especially like to commend out waiter Janelle for providing such excellent customer service and being so friendly to our family. Entertainment & Activities

  Great ports of call! by
White, L. from Indiana Sailing date: Jun 2012Pros: The ports of call. . . they were fantastic! Cons: The food, ship ammenities. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the ship. I was expecting a bit more, as the pictures I viewed had many more ammenities than what this particular ship had. i.e. Waterworks. I thought there would be several different options, i.e. bucket of water, water spouts, etc. There was one water slide that didn't even empty into the pool. It just abruptly stopped. Staff began locking away deck chairs at 6:30 in the evening, very disappointing!!!! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodI'm used to cruising with Royal Carribbean and my experience with that line is much better than with Carnival. This was my first experience with Carnival and I would not return. Stateroom QualityThe staterooms, for the money paid, were nice. Cabin steward did an excellent job! Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesI felt the entertainment was below average, compared to what I have experienced on other ships not associated with Carnival. Children's Programs

Not all we had hoped for! by
Janise H. from Oakdale, TN Sailing date: May 2012Pros: Formal Dinners Cons: Not getting to go to the Grand Cayman due to weather, or any other port as a subsitute My only problem with the entire experience was the lack of an alternant port when we were unable to go to the Grand Cayman Islands. We were forced to spend a boring day at sea. Ship Quality

  A relaxing, fun time by
A Traveler from Charlottesville, VA Sailing date: May 2012Pros: Abundant food, fun atmosphere Cons: The trip was a little long for a first time cruiser The ship was a fun, clean, well maintained place with many activities. There was an abundance of food, deck chairs, pools, hot tubs, and games (basketball, volleyball, mini golf, ping pong, waterslide, etc) Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThey change the menu every day (lobster, filet minion, chocolate buffet, etc) Stateroom QualityWe were in an interior stateroom. It was clean, comfortable, and bigger than I expected. Our stewardess cleaned the room twice daily, and there was a plethora of clean, dry towels. Ship Staff QualityThe entire ship staff is amazing. They work hard to give us a great, stressfree, comfortable, and fun vacation. Entertainment & ActivitiesAfter a few days on the ship, I got a little cabin fever. But there are always things to do on the ship. Every day they had a different schedule of activities and shows, from learning how to dance, to folding towel animals, to a scavenger hunt, to a murder mystery, etc. 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  A great Trip by
A Traveler from Erie, PA Sailing date: Apr 2012Pros: The ship staff-very friendly Cons: The breakfast buffet in the Lido room My wife and I had a great vacation. The ship has an excellent crew that looks after your every need. Ship QualityThe ship was very clean and kept that way by a hard wofking staff. Dining/FoodThe dining times were fine for our needs. our only complaint was the quality of the scrambled eggs and "orange" juice in the Lido room for the Buffet and the time it took to get an omelete. After 2 days we dined in the Washington dining room were the food was good and the atmoshphere was relaxed versus a buffet line. Stateroom QualityWe liked our balcony room for size and comfort. Ship Staff QualityVery friendly and always working to please. Entertainment & ActivitiesGood variety of shows-however on 2 nights there were no 8:30pm after dinner shows offered only the 10:30pm shows which we skipped since we are early to bed and early to rise. 0 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
