  A lifelong memory by
Jennifer B from Christchurch, New Zealand Sailing date: Jan 2010Pros: service, attitude, food, ports, activites, cruise director, shows, my husband and six kids were there, great activities for teens, Cons: the 2nd to comic shows, anyone can put people down, many of us in the audience were talking about them after the shows. the first guy percy Cruise II was good, recommend they screen their comics a little more closely. The ship was clean. Ship Quality
Stateroom QualityThe best expected for the price we paid. definately got our monies worth Ship Staff Qualityappreciated them going out of their way to say hi. Everyone said hi, whether in the hall or elevator or in line. They were extremely cordial. Entertainment & ActivitiesWe went to every show and most actitivies. They had a great variety. something for everyone. Just disappointed with Jim Brick and Allyn Ball as comics. Anyone can put people down. Percy Cruse II was the best of the three. Children's ProgramsMagnificent. We had 3 teens and Bryan was a wonderful leader, He identified with the teens, they related to him. Had great activities. Felt comfortable and that the kids were safe with him. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

  Fantastic Vacation! by
Dawn M. from Runnemede, NJ Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: Carnival Crew! Beautiful Ship. Fantastic Ports Cons: Orbitz Cruise Customer Service and Carnival Gym Staff What a fantastic ship. Our stateroom stewart was very attentive to our needs and our Lincoln dining room staff was excellent. We especially enjoyed the nightly "dinner show" put on by our dining staff. The shows were fantastic. Big Tex, Sam, and Jersey kept the ship hopping with great games and activities while at sea and in port. Circle C had many activities for the kids (12-14 yrs). Cruising is the only way to vacation! Ship QualityBeautiful ship with lots of activities for teens and adults. Dining/FoodFood was super. Great selection in the dining room for dinner. Rosie's had many great options for casual dining at breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Stateroom QualityWe had a balcony stateroom. For a cruise ship, our room was very large and comfortable for three people. Ship Staff QualityOur room stewart, Peter, was always there when we needed him. From the nightly turn down service and cleaning our room, to granting our requests (extra pillows, emptying the fridge when requested, etc) Peter was top notch! Our waiter Ioan was fantastic also. He made great suggestions for meals and always had a smile with the fast and friendly service. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe Shows are fantastic, great variety. The Carnival Games are a lot of fun and Jersey always made every activity very entertaing to watch or be a part of. The only down part was the gym staff. They were very sly at getting you to spend you cash there. I went to a seminar and decided to sign up for a health assessment for a fee. I went to the assessment and was told that they couldn't do the assessment because I have a pacemaker/defribulator, but I was still charged the fee. That just doesn't seem right. Also many machines(elypticals, bikes, and treadmills) were "out of order". Children's ProgramsMany activities including, mini-golf, basketball, playstation, wii, dance parties, etc. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  A Dream Vacation by
Janice M from Long Island, New York Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: The endless entertainement The Carnival Valor is a beautiful, amazing ship. The cleanliness of the entire ship is to be admired. I enjoyed the salt water pools and of course the jacuzzi's. The big screen was great to watch my favorite baseball team, the Yankees, win. Ship QualityThe decor on the Valor was impressive. Beautiful paintings throughout the ship were to be admired. Dining/FoodThe food was first rate, there was something for everyones taste. The dining room experience was wonderful, first class dishes, presentation was great and everything we ordered was first rate. Stateroom QualityOur stateroom was was just a tad small for us, but we acclimated to it. It was always cleaned by our steward in a timely fashion and kept immaculate. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were like sleeping on a cloud. Ship Staff QualityThe ship staff, each and every one of them were courteous at all times, always willing to answer a question and point us in the right direction. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe entertainment was some of the finest I have every seen. Being from New York I have been to many shows but on this ship the entertainers were some of the most talented I have ever seen. Every show was wonderful. All the activities that were offered were fun and something for everyone. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

  Awesome for a Honeymoon! by
Brandon W from Lexington, KY Sailing date: Oct 2008Pros: The friendliness of all the staff Cons: The price of alcoholic drinks were extremely high priced My newlywed wife and I set sail the day after our ceremony and it was the best choice for a honeymoon by far! The food was amazing, the staff was that of a five star restaraunt, everything was perfect.
Being a young couple we like to party, and the drinks (alcohol) were very expensive. For our 7- night cruise we spent almost $600 just on drinks!! That was the only negative thing about the cruise.
We were paired up for dinner with another young just married couple and we had a blast together!
The shows at night are great, the entertainment is always going, everything works together perfectly!
My wife and I would go on another cruise like this in a heartbeat!! Ship Quality
