Great Time
by Natalie R. from Phoenix, AZ
Sailing date:
Oct 2008
Pros:
Food and entertainment
Cons:
Amount you have to pay for cruise pictures.
We had the best time on the cruise. We had 3 days at sea and the crew made sure the people onboard were having a great time. The was a HUGE screen by the pool deck so you could enjoy a few movies. The entertainment, avtivities and the food were great. Will suggest to friends and family. The staff was on point and our cabin guy was really nice and helpful.

Most relaxing and friendly cruise.
by Chris from Palm Bay, FL
Sailing date:

Pros:
Movies under the stars experience.
Not a prty ship like other cruise lines which suited us. Great service, friendliest staff, movies under the stars was fantastic. The shows were not the best though.

Pros:
Movies under the stars, buffets and the fact that there was "real" food all hours of the night.
The cruise line upheld it's reputation. Price made it even more attractive. Great food, entertainment and service. Excellent cruise!!

Pretty beaches along the south side. Very innexpensive place to go. Pretty beaches, great food and drinks. Tons of shopping especially for silver.
Don't Miss:
Rent a car and drive around the island and see the pretty beaches. About $60 to rent for the day.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Best port of call. I have been to Grand Cayman 5 times and love it. It is one of the most beautiful islands.
Don't Miss:
Diving and the other side of the island called Rum Point. Best beach ever!!! Clear waters, less crowded than 7 mile beach and the best Pina Colada I've ever had!!
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Ocho Rios is just Dunn's River Falls. All excursions revolved around Dunn's River. Myself have been there twice and wanted to do something else but there was nothing besides diving that did not include the falls. Need more of a selection. Ochos Rios in town there is quite old and run down.
Don't Miss:
Dunn's River Falls if they haven't gone before.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
One of the nicer cruise islands to spend the day. Island was well clean, well kept and beautiful.

Good experience.
by A Traveler from South Florida
Sailing date:
Sep 2007
Pros:
Anytime dining.
Everything was satisfactory, but nothing was spectacular either. The ship was very clean and the crew worked really hard but no one was overly friendly. We liked anytime dining but the food was much better if you ate early in the evening. Overall it was a good experience. We were never hungry or bored and had a nice vacation, we would do it again. The only issue was customer service after we returned. A family member ordered a gift of champagne and strawberries for us and we never received it. They issued a refund but it was a hassle. They didn't really care about their mistake and it didn't leave a good impression.

Would never go on Princess again read...
by Susan from Michigan
Sailing date:
Dec 2011
Pros:
We had a great room service person and the service was very good in cover charge Steak house
Cons:
The attitude of the front desk management was terrible, food bad also
I am 55 years old, been on many cruise vacations, this was by far the WORST too bad we paid a top dollar over the New Year holiday. We had many issues with our room, the front desk management refused to offer any consideration for our issues, broken balcony door, plumbing issues, in fact the front desk management's attitude explains the poor overall attitude and service on this ship. We all felt as we were not welcome we had two rooms for the family of 4. The food was inferior, including small lunch buffets with many friend and inexpensive items I would not eat at home, much less on a vacation, fried chicken nuggets, fired peanut and banana on white bread, never tried the stuff. The selection for the food was just about the same ever day, little variety. We were on deck 11 and our balcony was very narrow, half the size of those on deck 9 and 10 NOT worth the money, when we booked told the balcony was larger on deck 11-not honest business. The water system was broken for two days, salt water from the tap and this was served for the coffee, salty coffee, salty iced tea, no mention to the guest, those who had medical conditions such as high blood pressure or heart disease were not warned. I think Princess did not correct the issue promptly to make extra money selling more bottled water, sodas, and other beverages at the bar. This was the worst service and ship I have ever been on. Don't spoil your vacation, choose another cruise line!

Dining/Food
If you wanted a nice dinner with good service, you had to pay the extra $25.00 per person and go to the Steak house, the service was very good and we enjoyed it. WE two decent dinners out of the 6 we ate in the main dining room, service was very slow and the plates were thrown once they final arrived. Two of the nights the food was so bad, we went up to the lido deck and ate pizza /buffett-not great-but better than the slop being plated.

All-around, outstanding experience!
by Rosemarie from South Florida
Sailing date:
Sep 2007
Pros:
Attentive, professional crew, overall service, cleanliness, personal choice dining.
Everything I've experienced on Princess has met or exceeded expectations. (I've been on Princess before, especially on 9/11/01, and if they were able to handle that situation, they can handle anything). From the Captain to the maintenance workers and everyone in between is professional, friendly and courteous. The specialty restaurants exceed all expectations. I'm looking forward to cruising with Princess again next year. We had a little problem with a shore excursion we had booked, but it was promptly and satisfactorily resolved. Would like to see a little more variety for lunch at the buffet and a larger area available for smokers, outside of that I can't recommend this ship and cruiseline highly enough.
Ship Details:
Dining/Food
Would like to see a little more variety for lunch buffet.
Stateroom Quality
Very comfortable state room with an attentive steward (shower could have been a bit bigger, of course).
Ship Staff Quality
Outstanding service from all crew members.
Entertainment & Activities
Activities: Watching a movie in the afternoon while sitting in the pool and being service warm chocolate chip cookies with cold milk is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon at sea. Entertainment: Enjoyed several performers and the show put on by the cruise director and staff (adults only) was hilarious.
Children's Programs
Cruise director and staff were very friendly and attentive. Not familiar with offerings for children/families.

Must visit Cozumel! Third time in Cozumel and would definitely go back again. Great shopping. Prices on sterling silver can not be beat. People are friendly, without being too pushy. Good food, good prices. Lots to see, do and buy. Take advantage of every minute in the fun Mexican port.
Don't Miss:
Visit the beautiful Mayan ruins, it's a must see. Take a break at Carlos & Charlie's -- good prices, good food & drinks, lots of fun for the adults. Only rule: There are no rules! A must to experience
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is grand. Beauiful island, nice people, great shopping. This is my third time to Grand Cayman, so I didn't do any excursions. If it's the first time take the Island Tour and see the entire island. If you haven't been there in a few years, it has built up alot. Great shopping, lots of restaurants, many things you will want to bring home. Good values and great jewelery.
Don't Miss:
Stop by any Tortuga Rum store for the best values on liquor. Stop by Margaritaville for a drink -- a little expensive, but you get your money's worth.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Fun day in Jamaica. We enjoyed returning to Ocho Rios again and definitely took advantage of the shopping. However, we took the Food & Art Lovers Tour and did have a problem. The museum we were to visit was adjacent to the restaurant where we had lunch that was included in the shore excursion. Unfortunately the museum was closed when we got there and were told that it is closed for most of the month of September. The 4-course lunch we had wasn't bad, but it wasn't the "gourmet meal at one of Jamaica's top restaurants" that it was stated to be. We did very much enjoy the visit to Wassi Pottery and did make some purchases there and our driver/guide was a very nice man and very knowledgeable. We also went to the Island Shops in Ocho Rios which is a great place to shop, just would have like some more time to spend there. Due to the little problems we had, we did receive a 50% refund for the excursion.
Don't Miss:
Dunn's River Falls and great shopping!!
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Relaxing day at Princess Cay. We made it a relaxing day to just sit on the beach, have lunch, listen to the music and enjoy the ocean.
