A fabulous time.
by Sherrie from Warminster, PA
Sailing date:
Jul 2007
Pros:
Friendly crew and staff.
We have been on 2 previous cruises on another cruise line. We were very satisfied with the staff, accommodations, food, dining times, and entertainment. Our 25th Wedding Anniversary gift to ourselves was truly a once in a lifetime celebration.

Bari was just OK. We took a double-decker bus tour on our own. The town is nice, our guide was informative, but it was just ok.
Mykonos, Greece
My favorite Port. We got to Mykonos just in time to have a wonderful dinner at a beachfront restaurant and to watch the beautiful sunset. Then we walked the narrow alleyways and did some shopping. It was an incredible evening.
Don't Miss:
The sunset.
Santorini, Greece
Unbelievable views.
Don't Miss:
Oia Village.
Katakolon (Olympia), Greece
Katakalon/Olimpia. Katakalon and Olimpia were awesome. It was amazing to be standing in the same place where the first Greek athletes trained and competed. Katakalon is a lovely village with shopping and cafes along the water.
Don't Miss:
Olimpia.

An amazing deal for the price.
by Steve from Royal Oak, MI

Pros:
The italian-style design.
The boat was fairly new and gorgeous. It was kept exceptionally clean throughout the trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great for a cruise ship. And the best part was the price. Great cruise for the money..

Very nice beach.. Relaxing day. Just a catered day at the beach. Very pleasant. Cruise ship staff were wonderful.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
The port was beautiful, the city was interesting and easily accessable, and the people were great. Great port.. Cant wait to return someday.
Don't Miss:
The old fort on the hill above the port.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.
Perfect. Absolutely gorgeous place. Best and most beautiful place Ive ever been to on a cruise ship stop..
Don't Miss:
A tour of the island. The scenery and the photo opportunities are the best anywhere.

Wonderful Way to Travel!
by Sheila from Ontario, Canada
Sailing date:
Mar 2007
Pros:
The entire ship was sparkling clean, great service, great food, too hard to pick just one great feature.
Was not sure what to expect, as we had never been on a cruise before. I had not heard of Costa Cruises, but after talking to other people on the cruise who had travelled on other cruiselines before said that Costa was one of the best ships that they had been on and I would definately have to agree. Enjoyed every minute and will definately cruise again.

Activities: We did not attend many of the activities, but there were many to choose from throughout the day. Entertainment: We attended the shows every evening after dinner. Enjoyed all of them!

Costa is the way to go for European crui
by George from McKinney, TX
Sailing date:
Jun 2007
Pros:
Ship is beautiful and well appointed. Balcony staterooms are excellent!
Oustanding value, service, and itinerary. Costa Mediterranea is a beautiful ship with excellent staterooms. Good, well-organized excursions. Excellent restaurant. Only complaints: embarkation process and buffet offerings need improvement.
Ship Details:
Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: Shows were enjoyable, but arrive early for good seating! The view from many seats in the theater was not great.

Bari is relaxing. Bari is a nice place to walk around and view some beautiful churches and fortresses. No excursion required.
Don't Miss:
There's a great little gelato place near the bus stop where the shuttle bus drops you off in town. Nice couple from Chicago own the place. Look for the American flags in front.
Mykonos, Greece
Old Town Mykonos - no excursion required! Mykonos is a great place to shop and to unwind after a long day on Santorini. Would have liked to spend more than a few hours here to really get to know the place.
Don't Miss:
The PELICANS. Huge pinkish-white pelicans! They walk around Mykonos like they own the place. We even found one strolling through a dress shop.
Santorini, Greece
Santorini is FANTASTIC - don't miss it! OIA Village excursion was outstanding! Best of the cruise in my opinion. Time is left to shop in Fira, but with small shops and narrow streets it gets CROWDED!
Don't Miss:
Oia Village.
Katakolon (Olympia), Greece
Olympia is a bit overrated. It is certainly worthwhile to visit Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympics, but excursions leave a little to be desired. The site is very crowded, tourguides are hard to hear, and time on your own to wander the grounds is very brief.

Chankanab Park. We visited the park, which caters to persons who are swimming with the dolphins. Otherwise, you are limited as to the use of the park's amenities.
Key West, Florida
Fort Zachary Taylor. We visited the local library and the librarian recommended Fort Zachary Taylor. We really enjoyed the beach and the fort.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Turtle Farm and Seven Mile Beach. The Turtle Farm is nice, but we couldn't find set prices. I think the prices are made up based on how much they think they can charge. Seven Mile Beach is beautiful, but the water is really deep. Be aware if you have kids. There is a playground at the beach which my daughter enjoyed.
Don't Miss:
Seven Mile Beach and a ride on a public (not tourist) bus.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, Honduras
Malaria. I had read that malaria is a concern in Roatan Bay; therefore, I was reluctant to disembark. My husband and I took turns going in to town and looking around. The area is very economically depressed, but there were some bargains to be had in shell jewelry and t-shirts. However, panhandling is a problem.

Very relaxing....
by Jeff from Washington, DC
Sailing date:
Dec 2006
Pros:
Pool decks are very nice.
I truly enjoyed the Costa Mediterranea, a very good value and a nice "twist" upon the somewhat bland middle-american cruise product. I liked the "euro" flavorings of this line.
Ship Details:
Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: Several of the musical acts in the lounges were very good. The main show lounge tends to be variety show type stuff, which is pretty good. Obviously they are dealing with multiple languages on this line.
