Emeral Club. If I can add a second best feature, it is the lunch buffet; excellent selection.
Excellent! We cruised on Glory 3 years ago and knew it was a very nice ship. But this cruise had discounts at various bars, a surprise Halloween costume contest, upgraded cabin (again!), and dinner at Emerald Club (that my husband won in the past-cruisers' drawing) was the ultimate. A perfect 10!

A good overall experience
by Joan K from Minnesota
Sailing date:
Jan 2011
Pros:
Attention to cleanliness and hygiene, friendly staff
Cons:
long line to board, not many cruise director interactions.
We cruised the first week in Jan. 2011 with 2 college kids, parents and grandparents. Had a great time. Our first Carnival cruise. Felt it compared in quality to the past NCL and Princess cruises.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Was pleased to see hand sanitizer everywhere. Also, public rest rooms had tissues to open up the door to prevent contamination when leaving. It took a bit to get the layout of the ship, but we eventually figured it out. All an adventure. Very clean and we noted the stewards cleaning the halls in the room areas continously.
Dining/Food
So many options that if you cannot find something to eat you like, that is your own fault. The speciality items (mongolian grill, fish and chips) lines get long at peak hours as all food is prepared to order.
Stateroom Quality
WE had 4 adults (2 college kids and their parents) in an inside cheap room. It worked just fine. Was pleasantly suprised by the large bathroom and comfortable beds.
Ship Staff Quality
Very receptive room steward. Got us an extension cord for my husbands CPAP machine without asking after the first night. Knew that my daughter does not like her covers tucked in, son does. The dining room staff was very attentive and pleasant too. We got many "how are you today" and friendly greetings when meeting staff in the halls.
Entertainment & Activities
Had some really great entaintainers (comedians, illusionist and juggler/comedian) and average ship dancer programs. A few nights we did not find anything that interested us so lost money gambeling instead. Maybe that was Carnivals plan.

Great ship, good service.
by Dave from Boca Raton, FL
Sailing date:
Aug 2006
Pros:
The bar :)
The ship is great looking as it is quite new. The spa was a big let down and certainly not worth the $, save it for a massage back home, the upsale at the end of the massage was almost rude and sneaky. I would also recommend washing your hands often to avoid the virus that seems common on cruise ships. We missed one of the shore days and had to stay locked up in the cabin because of the virus. The wait staff and bartenders were awesome, they made the trip!

Had a great time
by Christina C from Virginia Beach, VA

Pros:
The entertainment, piano bar, formal dining
Cons:
AC too cold for most of cruise, bars and lounges closed too early for us
We liked the ship overall. It was nice and for the most part didn't seem overly crowded. There were several whirlpools, enough for all the guests. The only drawback was that the whirlpools and regular pools were closed in the evenings. One of our favorite areas was called the Serenity and was an adults-only area. It was fitted with many chairs with cushions and was away from all the noise and hustle and bustle of the rest of the ship. We liked it so much that we spent at least 3 of our days up in that area. My overall complaint through most of the trip though was that the ship was kept too cold. When almost every woman in the main entrainment lounge is wearing hoodie sweaters over their formal wear, you know the ship is too cold. We also talked with several other guests that shared our sentiments about the temperature on the ship. One other negative: We wanted to play shuffleboard at 5:30 one evening and found out that they stop renting equipment at 5:00 p.m. We felt that was unreasonable. It wasn't even dark out yet!
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Liked the ship overall, but it didn't have the Wow! factor of some of the other ships I've traveled on. It was still was very nice though. It's a large ship and we had around 3,000 passengers on board, but it rarely felt overly crowded, which was nice. The layout was good and we enjoyed having our stateroom on Deck 7 about in the middle of the ship. It made it easier to get from one area to another. It had a good amount of elevators, stairs, and restrooms as well. The only negative aspect on the layout was when they had the photography stations set up. It often made things a bit congested trying to navigate around the photo stations on those nights. One thing that I noticed this time around though was that it seemed that the tables and areas around the shipped were not kept as clean as on other ships I'd been on. On other ships, they'd be cleaning tables as soon as someone got up and you wouldn't see cups and plates all over the tales on the decks and whatnot.
Dining/Food
The formal dining was absolutely excellent. The other food was just ok. The only 24/7 option was the pizza. They even shut off the frozen yogurt machines at night. It would have been nicer if the grill or one or two other things were open. The lines were also long almost all the time for the restaurant up on the Lido deck. One thing that was very nice though was that the maitre d' accommodated us and let us dine early (we were registered for late dining) in the Golden room one night so that we could see the shows we wanted that night. It turned out that we also ended up liking the Golden Dining room better than the Platinum Dining room where we ate the other nights.
Stateroom Quality
We had a small interior stateroom and it was pretty much what you would expect from one of those small rooms. We don't spend much time in the room anyway, so it doesn't have to be large for us. Our steward did an excellent job keeping it up for us as well.
Ship Staff Quality
We had an excellent steward. Our waiters in the formal dining did a nice job as well. We had no trouble getting drinks or service at any time anywhere throughout the ship. We had one waiter in the piano bar, named Adi, that we really liked. He remembered our drinks and the fact that I liked specific brands of liquor and my drinks accompanied with a water.
Entertainment & Activities
The entertainment that they had was excellent. I have to commend the dancers, in particular on how hard they worked and how much energy they put into the shows. We loved Joel, who played in the atrium many nights. We also really loved Duane, who played the piano bar every night. Our only complaint was that the bars and lounges were not open late enough for us: Everything but the dance club and casino closed between 1:00 and 1:30 a.m.

We did a horse and buggy ride through the downtown area. It was overpriced, but fun and gave us a lay of the land, so to speak. The vendors at the Straw Market are very pushy, but I'd still recommend checking it out. We loved the little zoo on the island. It's a little pricey ($30 for 2) for the size, but we absolutely loved the atmosphere, which was very jungle-ish and very unique. The flamingo march was a riot too! I had the best mudslides at Senior Frogs with wonderful seating right on the water that gave us a great view of the port and ships. Atlantis is gorgeous, of course. It's definitely a must-see, but it's huge so expect to do a lot of walking. It's also very, very pricey: We paid $8 for two bottles of Gatorade. Also, taste the pina colada and/or strawberry daiquiri ice-cream-ish things they have at Twin Brothers in the Fish Fry area. They were fantastic!
Don't Miss:
We loved the little zoo, Senior Frog's, and Atlantis is beautiful.

Pros:
Very Relaxing;
Cons:
Food was very bland
Overall this is a great ship for families.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Ship was nice, clean, recently updated.
Dining/Food
I thought the food was beyond poor. Very bland. Nothing exciting. If you're going on this cruise for the food, I would pick something else. The best part -- ice cream. The kids could get it 24/7 and loved it.
Stateroom Quality
Room was very spacious. Had 3 people in our room - not a problem.
Ship Staff Quality
Did not engage much with the staff; but seemed like most enjoyed what they did.
Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment was fabulous.
Children's Programs
My 9 year did not want to participate in Camp Carnival (maybe a little to babyish for a 9 year old). My 12 & 14 year old enjoyed Circle C.

Belize is not a great port. Personally they should remove this stop and add a longer time at Roatan! Cave tubbing was a waste of money. Water was so low the guide pretty much had to pull us the whole way. Zip Lining was fun; but the lines were terribly long (activities not booked through carnival)
Cozumel, Mexico
Went to a beautiful private beach resort and felt like we had the beach almost to our selves.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The water here is so gorgeous. Took a catamaran out to stingray city - that's pretty incredible. Then snorkeled. Beautiful water. I would invest in a nice underwater camera -- you'll get some great shots.
Don't Miss:
Snorkeling, stingray city.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, Honduras
Beautiful beautiful beautiful!! By far the prettiest port with the nicest people. Did Gumbalimba park with the monkey. Incredible. Unfortunately, not enough time. Need atleast another day here.
Don't Miss:
Gumbalimba Park --- wow!! Snorkeling . . . the best!!

First time on a cruise!
by Phil M from Auburn, Ma
Sailing date:
Feb 2010
Pros:
The service was fantastic, the food was great too.
Cons:
The destinations
The ship was super clean and the staff was excellent. You don't get the kind of service on a ship at a hotel.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The ship was like a floating casino. Absolutely beautiful! The staff pampers you from start to finish.
Dining/Food
You will never go hungry. I have no complaints about the food at all.
Stateroom Quality
We had a window view quad room. There were only two of us. I love our room as did my girlfriend. The service we had was unbelievable. Twice a day they would clean and make the bed. Once a day they come in and turn down the sheets for you.......at night while you are at dinner!
Ship Staff Quality
Can't say enough how well we were treated.
Entertainment & Activities
If you can't find entertainment, or something to do on a cruise then you aren't looking very hard.
