Carnival Glory Cruise by
Tom M from nyc Sailing date: Sep 2012Pros: Service -- it was very good Cons: food, entertainment and organization We wanted the early dining dining but it was unavailable (we didn't enjoy the 815 seating and eating at 9pm)

not what a cruise should be by
Jeff S from Deltaville Va Sailing date: Nov 2011Pros: nice room Cons: dining, signs to tell where to go for anything. the rooms are nice. that's about the best thing I can say about the Carnival Glory. The ship rocked constantly and it wasn't that rough. impossible to find your way around without a map. no signs to tell where anything is. dining was pitiful. buffet was OK but would close at odd times with only a pizza station staying open. would not recommend Carnival!! Ship Quality
Dining/Foodfood is mediocre at best. don't try anytime dining! It's anytime a table becomes available. we were told at one seating that we would have to wait 20 minutes to get a pager that would then let us know when a table was available. Stateroom Quality

  Disappointing by
A Traveler from Ohio Sailing date: Jul 2011Pros: The entertainment and food. Cons: Overcrowded ship, rude people, failure to dock in one port. The inside of the ship is beautiful. It is decorated well with incredible different colors. The ship by itself is great and has the great potential to be wonderful, just needs to work out some problems. Ship Quality

Saint John, New BrunswickIt is funny but when we got of the ship we were informed that the day we were there was a National Holiday and majority of the stores were closed. The town is really nice. My family went to a place called Relish which is a gourmet hamburger place and it was really good. Other then that I cannot recommend any particular place due to the holiday.

In no rush to go again by
Patrick O from Milwaukee, WI Sailing date: Mar 2011Pros: The crew Cons: The food, the restaurant experience, the nightlife The ship (and Carnival cruises in general) is certainly appealing to a specific type of traveler. While I enjoyed the trip, it definitely was not my cup of tea and I won't be heading on another cruise again anytime soon. Ship QualityWasn't really sure what to expect, so I can't say a lot here. Dining/FoodVery limited dining options and mediocre food quality. Only one non-buffet option for dinner with a menu that changed very little on a night-to-night basis. We were all feeling a bit queasy from the food by the end of the week. Stateroom QualityOverall, we were pleased with the stateroom. It was on the lowest deck, but had 2 porthole windows and was very comfortable and homey. One of the few things that we were sad to say goodbye to at the end of the week. Ship Staff QualityOverall the staff was great. We loved our stateroom steward and most of the waiters and waitresses that we got to know. Several nights, however, we had very disappointing waitstaff at dinner and were often left unattended for over half an hour at a time. Entertainment & ActivitiesA lot of potential for fun entertainment and activities, but disappointing execution. Very very similar programming on a daily basis and not always the best executed. Also, we were very disappointed by a lack of information about he various ports of call, other than the outrageously priced shore excursions that we could book through Carnival.

Belize City, BelizeHad a pleasureful stroll through Belize City, visiting various restaurants and churches.
Cozumel, MexicoWe rented scooters from Ernesto's and had a great time! Visited Mayan ruins and beaches on the far side of the island, followed by delicious fajitas at Ernesto's at the end.
George Town, Grand CaymanNOTA BENE: Grand Cayman is on Eastern Time, while all of our other ports were on Central Time. Carnival never once informed anyone of this, and as a result we missed our snorkel trip. Thanks, Carnival. Also, they had to dock on the opposite end of the island, and forced everyone to pay $10 for shuttles to the port where we were supposed to have docked.
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, HondurasWe rented a car from the port area (no scooters available) and headed down to the west end, where we parasailed and snorkeled. We booked it all on our own, yet did it with folks from the boat who had booked it as a shore excursion. The only difference: we payed WAY less but had a lot more flexibility.

  Disapointed by
Pete S from Myrtle Beach, SC Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Ports of call Cons: Condition of ship and quality of food Ship is in desperate need of repairs. Ice machines not working, Drink Machines failing, bathroom had problems, nothing seems to work well on this ship. Saw a maintenance worker walking on a food services area with his dirty shoes on. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodFood tasted "old" and was poorly cooked. Do Not recommend this ship or cruise. Stateroom Quality

Carnival Glory - Eastern Caribbean by
A Traveler from Upstate NY Sailing date: Jan 2013Pros: Grand Turk Cons: Weather, wind, The ship was very clean, and all staff I encountered were absolutely cheerful and friendly. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodLido deck buffet was fantastic, as was pizza and burger shop. I'm not sure if the dining room food suffered because we were the late seating, but there was only one night my dinner was actually good. 2 nights I couldn't even finish. Service in Platinum was also a bit slow, we were left looking for water and more bar drinks more often than not. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesFor the most part activities were great. Something for everyone. The comedy club was fun, as was the night club and piano bar. The DJ and the 'Big Sexy Cruise Director' were a train wreck though. The DJ didn't care if people on Lido deck were involved in his music or not, other than some line dancing. It was always a relief when Chris the guitar guy came out because at least you knew what kind of music he would play. The Big Sexy morning show was borderline awful. On the Lido deck they would be better off playing Good Morning or one of the music channels. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
