What a wonderful experience!
by Konrad Y. from Phoenix, AZ
Sailing date:
Mar 2012
Pros:
Courteous and Friendly service staff
Cons:
None
A right size ship (not too big or too small) with easy to navigate layout. Despite being an aging ship, crew kept it in top condition. The service made all the difference during our cruise. They were very courteous and friendly, and made the impression that they actually love and care about excellent service. Food is abundant and the quality is very good for the price paid. The live entertainment were excellent. I highly recommend this cruise for first-time cruiser.

Panama Canal cruise was incredible
by Janice asher from Seattle, WA, United States
Sailing date:
Dec 2011
Pros:
Although apprehensive at first, we both enjoyed the length (14 days) of this cruise. We made more friends, including crew members, and really relaxed.
Cons:
Getting off in Punterenas was a disappointment because of the timing in actually being able to get off.
One item on my bucket list was to go through the Panama Canal. Cruising through on the Inspiration was delightful. 14 days gave us time to meet and enjoy many people, crew and staff included. We had the royal treatment each day. All crew were pleasant and willing to assist in whatever way possible. My slightly hyperactive husband was apprehensive about being on the ship for so long. However we both found it a good length of time to relax and enjoy and not feel rushed.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
I wish I had the crew of the Inspiration to come dust, polish and clean my house. as well as cleaning the buffet lines, the coffee and ice cream lines, the trays and dishes, there was always someone washing windows, cleaning the decks, polishing the banister railings, or dusting. Bathrooms, both public and personal (in cabin), were spotless.
Dining/Food
Elegant dining room service. Meat cooked to specifications, salads fresh, everything tasty. Buffet lines always had plenty of choices and food always delicious. I especially loved the stir fry area.
Stateroom Quality
Our cabin workers were tireless and our room showed it. Clean and neat rooms. Polite workers.
Ship Staff Quality
14 days gave us a chance to meet and enjoy several staff members. The head waiter/dining room manager in the Mardi Gras, was a tireless worker. We saw him all day all over the ship's buffets and dining room. Aniko and Sarah in food area, James in food area, Maria, a hotel stewardess were especially friendly and helpful. We never saw a grumpy staff member.
Entertainment & Activities
The violinist and the last night singer were exceptional.

Just Right
by Tony E from Orange City, FL
Sailing date:
Oct 2011
Pros:
The warm weather.
Cons:
We had 3 emergencies and the ship had to divert off the course twice and we did not get to go to the Grand Cayman.
It was nice a little older, but still clean and nice throughout.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
They could have bigger restrooms in the public areas such as the pool area and outside the main show room. Decor to me was a little bland, but I am younger and they have to please all ages.
Dining/Food
It was good food, but after the first two days it seems the just kept have the same foods over and over. The good thing was that they had a lot of variety. We only ate at the buffet, not in the dinning room.
Stateroom Quality
Was at the very front. Leaving the dock and coming to the dock was noisy. I like the room, just not in the very front.
Ship Staff Quality
The service was the best.
Entertainment & Activities
They were fun and entertaining. We really enjoyed the Comedy Club they had on the ship. The other shows was for the older people in my opinion.

It is a nice place to have fun and relax. The jungle was neat to see with pet like animals running wild. We went on rail/dune buggy's(ATX-exploration) ride where you get to drive through the muddy and I mean muddy jungle and stop and swim in a cave and cleft jump into the spring water(it was awesome). Did I mention the cave was full of bats. On the way back we got to stop and hold a small crocodile and take pictures. We were soaked from head to toe with mud and it was so much fun. P.S. Bring a change of close, they have lockers.
Don't Miss:
ATX- Jungle Exploration - The best. For the price it was 3 1/2 hours of fun. My wife can't stop telling everyone about it.

A Cruise to Remember
by Connie E from Western Colorado
Sailing date:
Apr 2011
Pros:
food and entertainment
Cons:
nothing
It was my second cruise with Carnival. Me and my sister went together. It was an awesome experience from start to finish! Loved it!
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
The pool area was slighly crowded. It would be nice to have another pool but really didn't bother me none.
Dining/Food
Plenty of choices. Food was Great! I didn't like the late night dining. Took away from alot of activities that were in the evening. Next time I will choose either early or anytime dining.
Stateroom Quality
Stateroom attendant always at hand and very helpful. Loved it. Very comfortable and really quiet considering all the late night activities going on. The room was really soundproof. One thing was it was hard to hear announcements with the door shut.
Ship Staff Quality
Carnival holds their staff members to a high standard of customer service. That is very evident. Kudos to you all. Staff was very helpful and friendly and courteous to passengers. That's why...I will always pick you to cruise with!!!
Entertainment & Activities
Tons of entertainment all the time. Or if you prefer you can retreat to different sections of the ship for some quite time and solitude, if that is your preference.

Loved Cozumel. Didn't care for the Sail and Snorkel. Whe you go with a group like that everything is so structured and very little time to have fun. Over- rated and expensive.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Love Grand Cayman. Didn't care for the shore excursions. We went on the Dolfin Swim and Turtle Farm. Over-rated and expensive

Wonderful Cruise!!
by Ashleigh G from Denver, CO
Sailing date:
Mar 2011
Pros:
Everything
Cons:
Nothing to complain about!
All I can say is WOW! My sister and I had an amazing time together and we can't wait to go back for more! The staff was wonderful, the ship was clean, the rooms were spacious, and everything was perfect. I have no complaints and no recommendations. Carnival did an excellent job with customer service, information prior to the ship, all the details on the website, and great friendly attitudes! I have already recommended Carnival to my friends and will more than likely cruise with them again. Hopefully sooner rather than later!!!

Cons:
getting from point a to point b
greatly impressed with the ship, I would highly reccomend it. The staff is excellent. pool kinf of small, but the dock is very nice. plenty of food, and great shows.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
to get from one point to the other was annoying sometimes, because you needed to go sometimes up then down to get to a certain spot.
Dining/Food
great quality food, especially the desserts.
Stateroom Quality
comfortable rooms, had a problem in controlling the water temperature at first, but then got the idea.
Ship Staff Quality
this was very excellent. there was help whenever needed. the waiters are excellent and make the dinner very enjoyable, almost like a show of its own.
Entertainment & Activities
great shows, maybe could of had more shows at different times.

Hope you plan on gaining 10 lbs! :o)
by Amy from Charleston, SC
Sailing date:
Mar 2009
Pros:
Ship, entertainment, food (of course), service, and the crew was awesome!
Cons:
SPRING BREAKERS!!!!!!
I went on this trip with my old best friend. We were naive in thinking that the spring breakers wouldn't be vacationing so early in March. Boy oh boy were we wrong. *sigh* Everything was fabulous EXCEPT for them. They pretty much drove everyone insane from the yelling, drunken fiascos, etc. After the first day I learned where not to go, then all was peachy. :o) There was always something to do during the day, from bean bag toss to cha cha class to ice sculpting. you have to keep an open mind and try the activities - you may surprise yourself and have fun doing something you wouldnt have done in a million years. If anyone is going on the Inspiration within the next few weeks I'd love for you to do me a small favor. Just need to get an email address to a friend of mine on board! :o)
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Very clean, not too big, always someone to help you if you get lost on-board. :o)
Dining/Food
The food was great.... yes, the buffets were pretty much the same day in and day out, but if you're not picky then it's perfectly fine. The dinners and desserts were fantastic. the chocolate melting cake was ridiculously good and I had one of the best tiramisus that I've ever had... yum yum.
Stateroom Quality
Clean, small, but only one outlet. Sad.
Ship Staff Quality
Really friendly folks on board. I feel sorry for them and some of the "angels" they have to put up with day in and day out... must be tiring.
Entertainment & Activities
The love and marriage show is a must-see, as well as the comedians. And, of course, go to the regular shows as well! Highly entertaining.

Relaxing time
by A Traveler from albany, ny
Sailing date:
Feb 2009
Pros:
The service was absolutely great
Cons:
The food at the buffet definitely needed improvement, but again the service was wonderful
This was the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken. There were plenty of activities to keep you occupied, and if you weren't interested....laying out on the deck soaking in the sun was even better! The service was absolutely wonderful.....from room service to the servers. All the crew members were extremely friendly and funny....they were always available to help you out with anything. The only con I would have to say is the food at the buffet. The food tasted like cafeteria food from school. Dinner at the dining hall was better than the buffet, but still just "okay." Overall, still a good trip!

Fantastic Cruise!
by GJF from Somerset, KY
Sailing date:
Dec 2008
Pros:
Service and friendly staff
Cons:
Photographers trying to take your picture every time you do something.
Everything was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The shows were great. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a bargain vacation. However, I probably wouldn't recommend for people traveling with children.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Would have been rated "the best" had it not been a 12 year old ship. But for the age of the ship it was great!
Dining/Food
The dining areas had fantastic food, however some were not good for my taste. Many would love it though.
Stateroom Quality
A good size room for a ship which holds 3,500 people.
Ship Staff Quality
Could not have asked for any better.
Entertainment & Activities
Almost comparative to short, Las Vegas productions.

We had a fantastic time. To get the full experience, you will have to take a cab to almost anywhere you want to go. Be prepared to spend at least $30.00 in cab fares.
Don't Miss:
Mr. Sanchos beach
George Town, Grand Cayman
Some things to do, but we did not have too much time. We had to debark the ship onto another boat and be transported to the island. I did not like that too much.
