Dining/Food
The dining room food was wonderful. Our waiter Dorin and assistant Peng Li were great and made the experience one to remember.
Stateroom Quality
We loved our room over looking the promenade area. It was roomier and perfect.
Ship Staff Quality
One of the friendliest ships we have ever been on. Everyone seemed happy.
Entertainment & Activities
Very good nightly entertainment. Just wish they would have a good rock and roll band or 50s type band to dance to.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
This was an unanticapted pleasure. The counrtyside is beautiful, the people were very nice & helpful and Ephesus is a national treasue as well as Mary's home. Whatever faith you are you will appreciate the Biblical Ephesus tour. The ruins are specatular...it's as if you can hear the vendors and chariots in the streets.
Don't Miss:
Ephesus
Souda (Chania), Crete
the port of Chania or Hania as they write it is simply a beautiful place to spend the afternoon or to take a boat tour. The port has a great fell to it and the market is well worth a visit to.
Don't Miss:
the in town port itself & the nearby resturants
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
The port and Athens may leave a bit to be desired but once again we had a great guide and she made the Acroplois come to life for us at every turn
Don't Miss:
the Acroplois of course
Messina, Sicily
the drive to Mt Etna gives you the most scenic panoramas and our guide knew the history which was a real plus for us. The stop in beautiful Taormina was too short but we enjoyed every minute of it,,,,take the tour...it's a must.
Don't Miss:
Taormina

Incredible Western Mediterranean Cruise
by Ann W from Chicago, IL
Sailing date:
Aug 2010
Pros:
the ports, the ship and the crew
This was our 3rd cruise but first time on Royal Caribbean. We sailed on the Navigator of the Seas and it was really a great experience overall. We were in a family suite as there were 6 of us and the amenities made us feel like royalty. The Concierge Service was the best I have ever had including evening happy hours, separate poolside areas reserved, reserved seating at the shows and more. The ship was extremely clean, the staff knew our names and the service all around was 5 star. The food in our dining room was also excellent and every night was a fun and unique experience.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Dining/Food
My time dining is fabulous. You can change your time every day based on your port of call and evening activities. The food was great and the service was better.
Stateroom Quality
Our suite was clean and the daily service was great.
Ship Staff Quality
Our concierge helped us plan activities both on and off the ship every day. He was extremely knowledgeable about the ports and ship activities and helped us understand all of our suite amenities as we were new to the ship.
Entertainment & Activities
Spent part of every night after the shows at the Schooner Bar. Great talent at the piano bar drew a large crowd.
Children's Programs
The kids did not participate in the programs as much as we thought they would.

Ports of Call:
Barcelona, Spain
We took a cab to Las Ramblas, the main shopping area, and then took a 4 hour guided bike tour of Barcelona that was really incredible. The kids did not want to be enclosed in a bus all day so this was a perfect opportunity to see the city which is too big to walk in a day. Our trip ended at the beach for lunch and sangria and the kids had time to swim. Great Experience.
Cagliari, Sardinia
The bus took us round trip to the largest beach - Pueto Beach. We rented umbrellas and chairs and spent the day swimming in the ocean. It was great!!
Genoa, Italy
Took the local train to Santa Margharita and then a bus to Portifino. Saved a lot of money and gave us more time in each city. Due to the warm weather the kids also swam in the mediterranean at one of the local beaches. The train system was very efficient and easy to follow and gave you enough choices to get back to port on time. Can even buy tickets in advance on the internet.
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
Too tired to do anything but go to the beach.
Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France
We again took the train to Monte Carlo and then walked thru Monaco. Via bus for 1 euro each you can ride up to the Castle and have a great view of the city. We then took the same bus system all the way to Nice for lunch and a swim on the French Riviera. It was a busy but incredible day. Not enough time to see Cannes.

Navigator of the Sea the BEST
by A Traveler from Peoria, Illinois
Sailing date:

Pros:
Ship was GREAT, excellent service in every way!
Cons:
Buffet was crowded at times but we learned to avoid those times of day.
We are well-seasoned travelers and know the value of good service. Our cruise was top-notch and we would recommend it to anyone! Food was good to excellent. Ship was beautiful and huge! Variety of activities was good to excellent. We LOVED our cruise and will definitely go again!

GREAT!
Dining/Food
Food was very good to excellent. Every meal in the dining room was wonderful. The buffet meals in the WindJammer was good but got very crowded at times so we just avoided those times.
Stateroom Quality
We had a balcony stateroom and would strongly suggest to anyone considering a cruise that you spend the extra money and get a room with balcony. It's WONDERFUL to sit and relax after a long day of activities.
Ship Staff Quality
One word: EXCELLENT
Entertainment & Activities
We don't really like crowds so we stayed away from the pool scene. We chose to relax on another deck with great views and great service from the bar. I also climbed the rock wall which was GREAT! BIG FUN for any age!

A Great Time!
by A Traveler from Pennsylvania
Sailing date:

Pros:
Beautiful ship, lots to do
Cons:
Shows were good but not superb
The ship itself was very impressive. There was so much to do, there was not enough time to do everything! The service was fantastic, the food was delicious. We had a wonderful time!

Fantastic!
Iraklion (Heraklion), Crete
This port was beautiful. The ship was close to the town, and there was plenty to see and do!
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
The excursions were not long enough. There was a lot of time left over at the end of the excursion, and port was not close enough to walk to any sites.
Messina, Sicily
Wish we had more time here, there was so much to see! Excursions should be more clear about how much driving time is involved.

Wonderful Cruise!!!
by A Traveler from Alameda, CA
Sailing date:
Apr 2010
Pros:
Spending time in a stress free environment. The food was amazing and the staff were great!
Cons:
we were among the youngest people there. Almost everyone there was seniors, and not many activities geared towards 20s & 30s.
My husband and I, both 30, decided to take this cruise for out 5 year anniversary. It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely do it again! (although I did gain at least 10 pounds from all the yummy food!)

Dining/Food
Amazing! My Time Dining was totally worth it - we also were able to request a table for two when we didn't want to socialize. Also, the dining room menu was so great - there was no need to go to the specialty restaurants.
Stateroom Quality
We got a promenade view, and it wasn't worth it. we could hear the noise from the bars downstairs and people could see in to our room so we kept the shade drawn all the time. It is only worth getting a room upgrate if you go for an ocean view or higher. Otherwise to interior.
Ship Staff Quality
So warm and friendly!
Entertainment & Activities
It was great if you are a senior, otherwise it was kind of meh. Not terrible, but not great.
