Cruise was "Legendary" - awful!
by A Traveler from Ohio
Sailing date:
Mar 2013
Pros:
The on board staff was very kind and very hard working
Cons:
The fact that we had propulsion issues and missed two of our four scheduled ports!
We booked this particular cruise because it was SCHEDULED to go to Belize and Grand Cayman. The Legend had propulsion issues with the motor so we weren't able to get to Belize or Grand Cayman. They substituted Costa Maya for Belize, and we were SO disappointed! Then, because the ship could only go at half speed, we had to start home on Thursday afternoon skipping a fourth stop and were at sea until the early hours of Sunday morning in order to make it back to Tampa. For all that trouble, they gave us each a whopping $100 back! Oh yeah, and 50% off our NEXT cruise. Like anyone will book on them again!!NOT

Smokers Holiday
by Peter L. from Bluffton, SC
Sailing date:
Jan 2013
Cons:
Peop;le smoking everywhere
People were smoking under the NO Smoking signs. There was so much smoke at times it was difficult to breath and we had to leave the area.. Had to quit the casino because of the smoke. The odor drifted from the second floor to the upper floors.

Big Disappointment
by Ebelyn F. from Fort Myers, FL
Sailing date:
May 2011
Pros:
Not Much
Cons:
Almost Everything
Food wad a HUGE disappointment. Menu was limited and the food simply did not taste as good. Someone took beer and soda from our refrigerator on the 2nd day and after two calls, it was finally replaced on the 3th day. We were placed in a "handicap room" where the cmmode did not fit, wheelchair did not fit through the door, etc. And they put us in the very front of the ship, when the restaurant was at the end of the ship.

Cozumel, Mexico
We took a taxi straight to the beach for only $!15, each way. Much cheaper than taking one of the excusrions,

Won't happen again!
by jason p from buffalo, NY
Sailing date:
Sep 2010
Pros:
the food in ports waaay better than the ships
Cons:
waiting for everything!
My wife and I have cruised Carnival before and other lines as well. This was by far the worst I have ever been on. We were constantly waiting for everything, especially food. I understand there are 2000+ people on board, that is all the more reason to open up the buffets a little before lunchtime and a little after, not just an hour or so. Having to stand in line for 15 minutes to only be told that it will take ten more for a slice of pizza is ridiculous. The excursion were fine, as always. The ship seems a little outdated and need of service. Missing and broken tiles, carpet looks terrible with stains everywhere, I was hit by two seperate doors that were unsecurred on deck, blowing around. Like I said earlier, this isn't my first cruise, I know what to expect. I was sorely disappointed. Even the attidue of the crewmembers were poor. The coffee was out in a machine so I asked a crewmember where another was I could use and he said " I don't know, there's 3 on this deck, go find another one". I heard more I don't knows on this trip than I have ever heard in my life!

Was dropped off with a beach package at Playa Mia. Major thunderstorm hit and had to pay for a taxi back instead of them running a return bus early. Coulda sat and waited under the tent for two more hours I guess...
George Town, Grand Cayman
Always a place to go and visit for us! We see the stingray City every year. Never gets old.
Roatan (Isla Roatan), Bay Islands, Honduras
Had a good time-visited the monkey, pirate, break. Tour guide was awesome. Be prepared though, you will drive through a DEVELOPING country. Looks pretty rough.

Cold food and poor choices
by James K from New Port Richey Fl

Pros:
Dancing entertainers
Cons:
The food
The ship and its appointments were very nice, but that is where the nice stops and the ugly starts, especially the food in the Lido and the Dinning room.

not so wonderful cruise
by James B from Floyds Knobs, In
Sailing date:
Oct 2012
Pros:
very nice ship. Clean and well maintained. nice staff.
Cons:
did not have shows every night. on one show the main host did not show up
Performers, like comedians not very good. One performer did not show up for his show. Not a lot of good entertainment on the ship. The big water slide is not steep enough, so you have to push yourself down. No fun.

The ship was very nice ,clean and nice layout.
Dining/Food
the food was good except for the pizza. It was really bad. It did not have enough sauce. Very dry and tasteless.
Stateroom Quality
the only thing I missed was a curtain between the bed and the rest of the room.

the public restrooms had a tendacy to be trashed.
Dining/Food
you could not get a hot meal in the dining room. They always served it cold and more than once they didn't get it right or forgot a meal totally. We finally resorted to the buffet burger bar at the pool to eat there it was at least hot. When we commented to the hostess they responded with we changed our menu for the older September cruisers they do not like spices ect. Our comment fine but serve it hot or at least remember all the meals to the table.

nice island, guide ran us through the turltle farm as fast as he could so we would have more time to shop
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
total waste of time the guide was to busy telling us how bad they had it because the carnival customers do not spend enough money, she actually told us they could not wait for the NOvemvber crowd from Princess lines they were bigger spenders.
