Very Relaxing Week!
by Nina F from Tennessee
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
My balcony
Cons:
Very crowded
The staff was amazing. Jon Paul (steward) was so kind and attentive. Made us feel very pampered! The steakhouse was amazing. The staff and food exceeded my expectations! Was difficult to get through to room service and took a long time to get an order. Overall a very pleasant trip!

One call placed to a female housekeeping person was disappointing as she told me she could not help me reach room service.

New Orleans cruise
by Pamela S from New Roads, La
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
Creme Brulee and warm chocolate cake
Cons:
entertainment, warm room, horrible odor
Shows were okay. Comedians funny. Our room was very very warm. Seemed like aircondition could not put out cold air. There was this horrible rotten smell at different times and different places on the ship. Mad me gag.

Cons:

Our stateroom was very hot. Airconditioning barely put out any cold air. Entertainment was not that great. We actually skipped the show towards the end.

Great cruise for young families!
by Christina G. from Pottsville, AR
Sailing date:
Aug 2012
Pros:
Main dining room staff(Monet), activities for kids so the adults can relax, and food choices
Cons:
The bathroom in the room always had a pungent urine smell from getting on the boat when they cleaned even, the staff weren't as friendly as expected, and kids were allowed to run up and down hallways all hours of the night
The ship itself on the inside was beautiful. On the outter decks, mainly under where the large monitor is could use some work! It looked as if it would fall through at any time. The pools, hot tubs, and slides water looked like urine, I never got in any of them. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom smell was awful.

Dining/Food
Had a wonderful dining experience on this cruise! I don't know if the staff changes throughout the months they're on the ship, but we were assigned Monet lower and couldn't be happier with our three waitstaff members! Ricardo from Colombia was our head waiter, Jimmy, and I'm so sorry, but the other was always working so quickly after he introduced himself the first night(unusual name), I couldn't read his name, WERE WONDERFUL! Very personable, helpful, and friendly! So much so that I took pictures with them, of them, and have very fond memories of this trip because of them.they made it worth tipping extra and skipping out on a few of the hundreds of expensive pictures that were taken on board. If they happen to read this... THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS! Ricardo, I wish you well on your new recipes for your family and I hope youre daughter gets to finish her classes in New York like she wants! Jimmy, your smile was infectious and don't forget those dance lessons!!! ;-)
Stateroom Quality
Do something about the bathrooms and the room would be fine!
Ship Staff Quality
MANNERS! The staff should be trained to smile, greet the guest, and (if not carrying a heavy load) step to the side and let the guest pass. Too many times I felt as if I were a bother and wasn't greeted by staff I encountered. They just pushed right on by with no eye contact and I had to step out of their way even when they weren't carrying anything.
Entertainment & Activities
Good job
Children's Programs
Supervised activities for kids under 17 so the parents could relax! The only thing is there needs to be a type of curfew for kids under 15 to where they aren't allowed to run the hallways where the rooms are at all hours of the night.

This was a very good cruise.
by ''Johnny J.'' from Athens Texas
Sailing date:
Jul 2012
Pros:
How we were treated by the crew. It was easy to get to know the crew because of their friendlyness and our service was always great.
Cons:
Two things. 1. The cost of soda is rediculous and 2. every time you get a photo, massaage, manicure, pedicure, or any thing else, you are pushed into buying something else very expenxive.
We had a great time on our 7 day cruise. The food was great, the crew was fantastic and their was a lot to do while at sea. I would recomend to someone else to bring your own soda a long with you and beware the extra cost everytime you buy something on the ship. Everything else was great. Clean, freindly, professional, and the rooms were suprisingly spacious. Everyone seemed to go to that extra mile to serve and assist us. You have to remember to be paitent at first when asking a question. While the crew understands english, you must make sure they understand what your are asking before you can expect them to get you what you need. My wife and I were treated like we were important.

A Mostly Wonderful Experience
by K. S. from Shreveport, LA
Sailing date:
Jul 2012
Pros:
Dining room staff, cabin comfort
Cons:
sales pitches, smoking
The cruise was an overall quite pleasant experience. We enjoyed the ports and most of our time on board. We will probably research other cruise lines before taking another cruise to find one where the on board entertainment and atmosphere matches our tastes better. We are not drinkers, smokers, or gamblers so some of our surroundings were less than pleasant to us.

Dining/Food
Desserts and appetizers were my favorite. Lobster was rubbery. Some of my fish was fantastic and some I did not eat. Having a private table in the evenings was wonderful.
Stateroom Quality
Having an interior room really helped us sleep so well; we loved our location on the 8th floor.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities
Instruction is very lacking; we did not know what some of the offerings even were because there was NO description.

by Sidney C. from Columbus, TX
Sailing date:
Apr 2012
Pros:
movies to watch outside
Cons:
Too much smoking and waiters hounding you to buy drinks
The Conquest is a great ship, enterianment was just ok. Way too much smoking, the waiters are at every turn trying to sell you a drink. Staff was real nice, dining food in the evening was generally real good but the buffett food was just ok
