Great Escape from Cold Winter Weather! by
Steph N from Oxford, MS Sailing date: Dec 2012Pros: Relaxing with no technology to bother us! Cons: The rip-off tour in Cozumel. We bought it through Carnival too, so I was disappointed. DO NOT go to the San Gervasio/Beach one. The first stop at the "PeePee Station" was a complete waste of time (i.e., they attempted to educate/ sell us on tequila for an hour and it wasn't on the brochure)! The ship was excellent! Ship QualityThe ship was updated to the latest standards and plenty of fun and food options for all. Just wish there was an adult hot tub with no kids allowed somewhere on the ship. Dining/FoodFood was great! Try the burger joint at least once. I think we tried everything with the exception of the Fish & Chips - just so much to try that we missed it! Stateroom QualityThe changing animals were a constant source of amusement to us. The room was kept quite tidy and we were provided with extra drinking glasses as needed. The only thing we noticed was a little dustiness on our bathroom shelves as the week progressed. Ship Staff QualityOur state room stewards were the best: professional, friendly, and helpful! Entertainment & ActivitiesWe often found ourselves at a late night comedy show or the piano bar. 1 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

guangfeng H. from Spring Arbor, Mi Sailing date: Jan 2013Pros: the service Cons: do not know t Feel at home. there is a Chinese saying, take the four seas as home, which means no matter wherever you go, take it as your home. but Carnival conquest makes us feel at home. Our 3 year old grandson like it so much that he wanted to stay a couple of days more. Our waiter Hary is nice and the kid liked him so much. Ship Quality

Many fun aspects, a few small issues. by
Terry Lynn C from United States Sailing date: Dec 2012Pros: The crew was mostly very helpful. Circle C was Cons: The food was not great. Breakfast was an A, lunch a solid B . DInner C- is being generous The ship is very nice. In decent shape, lots of room, good views. Good excursions. Ship QualityBy the second to the last day all the windows are covered with finger prints of little kids. Apparently they don't clean them until the next set of guests so your view is grimy. Virtually no handicapped stalls. Dining/FoodIce tea, lemonade, hot chocolate and coffee are free. If you want to buy unlimited alcohol you have to buy it for everyone in your cabin, which is ridiculous, so we didn't do it. I don't even drink! Also they only have flip top bottles of beer so if you buy a bucket of 4 beers they want you to pay every time they open one for you. I was so offended by that I didn't even tip after hubby's 2nd one. It felt like extortion. Main dining was not good. Same food as buffet. Night time meals are low budget buffet. Meat was barely hot. I worried about food poisoning from sub standard temperatures. Breakfasts and lunches were hot and good. Decent pizza and great deli. Kids loved hamburgers - really good fries. Stateroom QualityOurs was nice and clean. Decent steward. Good free room service. Ship Staff QualityI wanted to book another cruise. The salesman was so not interested in selling me a cruise I just gave up on him. Entertainment & ActivitiesFun entertainment. Good comedians- fun game shows. Children's ProgramsNice circle c club - could be open more hours especially at the beginning so kids can meet. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

Shawn A from New Orleans Sailing date: Nov 2012Pros: Guy Fieri Burger joint Cons: selection in the buffet This was my third time taking a cruise. We love hanging out on the ship more than the places we visit. The staff was great, the ship stayed clean. My 9yr old loved camp carnival. I'm looking forward to sailing again real soon. Ship Quality

Great cruise for young families! by
Christina G. from Pottsville, AR Sailing date: Aug 2012Pros: Main dining room staff(Monet), activities for kids so the adults can relax, and food choices Cons: The bathroom in the room always had a pungent urine smell from getting on the boat when they cleaned even, the staff weren't as friendly as expected, and kids were allowed to run up and down hallways all hours of the night The ship itself on the inside was beautiful. On the outter decks, mainly under where the large monitor is could use some work! It looked as if it would fall through at any time. The pools, hot tubs, and slides water looked like urine, I never got in any of them. The room was comfortable, but the bathroom smell was awful. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodHad a wonderful dining experience on this cruise! I don't know if the staff changes throughout the months they're on the ship, but we were assigned Monet lower and couldn't be happier with our three waitstaff members! Ricardo from Colombia was our head waiter, Jimmy, and I'm so sorry, but the other was always working so quickly after he introduced himself the first night(unusual name), I couldn't read his name, WERE WONDERFUL! Very personable, helpful, and friendly! So much so that I took pictures with them, of them, and have very fond memories of this trip because of them.they made it worth tipping extra and skipping out on a few of the hundreds of expensive pictures that were taken on board. If they happen to read this... THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS! Ricardo, I wish you well on your new recipes for your family and I hope youre daughter gets to finish her classes in New York like she wants! Jimmy, your smile was infectious and don't forget those dance lessons!!! ;-) Stateroom QualityDo something about the bathrooms and the room would be fine! Ship Staff QualityMANNERS! The staff should be trained to smile, greet the guest, and (if not carrying a heavy load) step to the side and let the guest pass. Too many times I felt as if I were a bother and wasn't greeted by staff I encountered. They just pushed right on by with no eye contact and I had to step out of their way even when they weren't carrying anything. Entertainment & ActivitiesGood job Children's ProgramsSupervised activities for kids under 17 so the parents could relax! The only thing is there needs to be a type of curfew for kids under 15 to where they aren't allowed to run the hallways where the rooms are at all hours of the night. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  A Mostly Wonderful Experience by
K. S. from Shreveport, LA Sailing date: Jul 2012Pros: Dining room staff, cabin comfort Cons: sales pitches, smoking The cruise was an overall quite pleasant experience. We enjoyed the ports and most of our time on board. We will probably research other cruise lines before taking another cruise to find one where the on board entertainment and atmosphere matches our tastes better. We are not drinkers, smokers, or gamblers so some of our surroundings were less than pleasant to us. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodDesserts and appetizers were my favorite. Lobster was rubbery. Some of my fish was fantastic and some I did not eat. Having a private table in the evenings was wonderful. Stateroom QualityHaving an interior room really helped us sleep so well; we loved our location on the 8th floor. Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesInstruction is very lacking; we did not know what some of the offerings even were because there was NO description. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Sidney C. from Columbus, TX Sailing date: Apr 2012Pros: movies to watch outside Cons: Too much smoking and waiters hounding you to buy drinks The Conquest is a great ship, enterianment was just ok. I'd say Just Okay by
Emily G from Nebrasja Sailing date: Dec 2011Pros: There is always a dining option any time of day. Liked the adult only pool. Cons: Too much SALES... constantly pushing you to buy extras on board Overall it was just average. The entertainment was low quality and i felt like it was lacking in "smaller" activities like contests, etc. You could not enjoy a simple drink on deck without being asked every 90 seconds if you wanted to buy another one. The embark/disembark process was very easy and efficient and the food was pretty good and available at all hours of the day. Enjoyed the adults only pool that is covered in glass during bad weather. A bit longer wait for my-time dining than I have experienced elsewhere. Ship Quality
