An Outstanding Cruise by
Thaddeus G from Chester,MD Sailing date: Feb 2010Pros: Everything Cons: Debarkation....Leaving the ship !!! Everything was wonderful, I've not met such a large group of very well-mannered pleasant people (crew) to deal with. They made the whole cruise a very happy experience. The ship's name "PRIDE" is very appropriate. Food was Great and so is my figure now...Ha Ha Ha !!! The Captain did a wonderful job of keeping the vessel very stable even in the rough waters we encountered. There was an emergency with one of the cruise members and the urgency they showed to get that person to an emergency facility was very impressive and showed their prioroties to everyone's safety. The Cruise Director was wonderful and I don't know how they do it. It seems like they go 24/7. The Carnival Pride is an asset to the Carnival Fleet. I will definitly be back, but in a balcony stateroom next time. Thank You !!! Ship Quality

  A terrific experience. by
Robert F. from Baltimore, MD Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: Relaxed atmosphere and impeccable service. Cons: We found nothing about this cruise that we did not like. We had a veranda stateroom and it was in like new condition when we arrived and the stewards, whenever we left the room, were in there to tidy up and replenish anything we needed. They were terrific.
The food was exquisite, the service in the dining room was 1st class and we had a lot of fun with the wait staff.
Our shore excursions were fantastic and well planned with everything going off on time.
This was our third time with Carnival and we would not consider any other cruise line for any future cruises. Ship Quality

Ship Staff QualityEverybody had a smile and a pleasant comment no matter what time of day or night. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows were well put together and well done but seemed to lack a good degree of variety. Children's ProgramsEven though we had no children with us, I would have to rate this program as the best since there were over 500 children on our ship under the age of 18 and they were rarely underfoot or disruptive. Our congratulations to the staff who operate these programs. 5 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

  "Great Vacation Choice" by
Laverne H. from Byron, GA Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: Carefree vacationing. Lots of activities. Plenty to eat. Cons: The bars did not stock my preferences of alcoholic beverages. My husband and I have cruised before but this was the best. This ship was larger than others we've been on. The staterooms were a bit smaller on this ship. Beautiful ship though. There was enough room for the two of us, but others travelling with us were booked three to a cabin and were a bit cramped. The entire cruise ship staff was friendly and professional. Our dining room waiters were the best. We wanted to take them home with us. They were so nice and fun to be around. We all looked forward to seeing them each evening. It was like they became a part of our family. We had a very memorable time. Ship Quality

Freeport, Grand Bahama IslandWe did not take a tour in Freeport. That may have been the best thing to do because there is not much to do at the port. Everything is apparently a distance away because you cannot see much from the ship while in this port.
Nassau, BahamasWe enjoyed the Historical Tour. Loved the scenery and seeing the homes of the native people.

  Ship Review by
Sue from Elmhurst, IL, USA Sailing date: Mar 2007Pros: Balconies & decks -- lots of lots of view. Started out cold & cloudy but got warmer & more fun & more comfortable as cruise progressed. Enjoy not having to make many decisions. Felt very comfortable with 2 young adult females on board on their own. Staff very courteous & friendly. Best vacation thus far I've had *(most totally relaxing). Would go again if/when I can. Flight expensive to port, but that's what happens when you live in the Midwest. Definitely worth it's cost in getting a break from the snow. Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment: Talent show last night was fun, Bingo was great too.

Mazatlan, MexicoSierra Madre tour show the real Mexico.
We did the Sierra Madre tour - a real cultural gem. We all felt very privileged to be Americans and blessed with such wealth that we could afford to travel. Bring gun stick to give to the kids (rather than a dollar) if you want to take their photos (chiclets) -- they loved them & any little trinkets we were willing to part with. Eye-opening & wonderful & tiring. A very solid excursion for the $$$$.
Puerto Vallarta, MexicoNeed more time there to explore. The zip-lining was AWESOME fun.
Cabo San Lucas, MexicoWOW!
SUN-SAND-lots of good fun & rest & sunburn, too. As a place of beauty they have the corner on it here with there beaches? Pacific was cold but fun.

Awesome for families with small children by
Tami from Plano, TX Sailing date: Mar 2007Pros: The FUN CLUB for kids!! They also take excellent pictures during formal nights. We loved being able to drop off our son at the "Fun Club" every morning; and he loved it as well. We would also drop him off for/after dinner until 9 pm or so most nights. He was asking to go back to the "play area" once we were off the ship. My husband and I loved having some time on the islands with and without our son. We went to a Water Park in Puerto Vallarta and Whale Watching in Cabos San Lucas. There is so much to do in Cabos. Take advantage of every moment that you are there. Entertainment & Activities
