Been on much better!!!!
by Laura F. from Wichita, KS
Sailing date:
Dec 2010
Pros:
I liked our ports, Freeport and Nassau
Cons:
The customer service, even the guest services Supervisor was rude and sarcastic!
The ship could use some work as could its staff! They turned OFF the water to the entire ship for several hours. One of my friends was in the shower when they did this! There was no warning or anything. We had to use our own bottled water to rinse her off (which of course was freezing)! When we spoke to guest services about this they said "sorry" was all they knew to do. We had our toilet almost overflow, ONE working receptacle for 4 girls, and anytime we said anything to guest services they didn't care. Would not recommend this ship, maybe the bigger ones have better staff and service. I will only give them one more shot. Everything from shows, food, entertainment and especially service was 100 times better on our Royal Carribean cruise.

Most of the staff were unfriendly and not helpful. There are of course of few of wonderful people that we encountered that helped.

We went snorkeling for $30 at a local place and we had a blast! The boat also had a underwater viewing area that was fun too!
Nassau, Bahamas
Tons of shopping and nice beaches!

The cost to go off the boat was costly. They were not very safe, (crazy driving, too many people in the van, not enough seat belts, you never got picked back up where they told us they would). We spent over 3 hours in line to get on the boat. They really don't need to take everyones pictures. Very poor planing and not much fun.

Not that great
by Constance L from Asheville, NC
Sailing date:
Mar 2013
Pros:
Very friendly staff and good food
Cons:
Loud pop music everywhere, too expensive
Too much glitzy commercial stuff trying to convince you to spend-spend-spend! The staff was great. The excursions were way too expensive to consider... and no info about other options once you were on the island. A few good shows, but not enough early family-oriented entertainment for what is billed as a 'family cruise.' The kids camp was very limited. They don't even take the kids swimming, which is the most fun thing for kids to do on the ship. Not much in the way of crafts/interesting activities.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Clean and the staff worked hard to create a nice environment. Personally, though, too much shops and emphasis on spending money.
Dining/Food
The food was quite good. The desserts were amazing.
Stateroom Quality
I thought our room was big enough. Too bad they charge for every little thing, including water, when there was no decent drinking water available otherwise.
Ship Staff Quality
Excellent, fun staff.
Entertainment & Activities
Not enough going on when you're at sea for two days. Boring activities like Bingo. Not enough for kids. We did see two good comedians.
Children's Programs
Not nearly enough and not very engaging.

Good overall
by A Traveler from VA
Sailing date:
Mar 2013
Pros:
Convenience of port location to home
Cons:
Wish I would have realized it was spring break for college kids!
Overall is was a good trip. Had a great time snorkelling at Deadman's Reef in Freeport.. look up their website and book directly through them for less money. Tons of spring breakers, which wouldn't have bothered me normally but the ones in our cabin area were very rude- extremely loud all hours of the night. Food was good- not exceptional but we certainly didn't starve. We liked being able to drive to Charleston vs having to fly to Florida.

wonderful cruise
by Rebekah G from NC
Sailing date:
Mar 2013
Pros:
Was very relaxing and everyone was very nice and helpful.
Cons:
We went spring break so there were a lot of drunk college kids, which was not very enjoyable on our honeymoon. You could easily hear people outside the rooms
Very clean, and lots to do.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Was a smaller ship but there was still plenty to do and plenty of places to go!
Dining/Food
There was lots of food. I wouldn't say it was amazing but it was good and always available. I would not recommend getting a soda card unless you really really drink lots of sodas. Every time we seat down to eat it took FOREVER for them to bring us anything other then water. And the only places to get the sodas are at the bars and it takes forever to get them. So if you are not very patient and diligent you will not get your sodas.
Stateroom Quality
Of course the staterooms were not very big but we excepted that. They were very clean and nice. The man taking care of our room was wonderful. He came in and cleaned up twice and day and made sure we were fully stocked in towels and everything else we needed. Once I asked for another blanket and he stopped what he was doing and got it right then with a big smile on his face. Only thing I wish was different about the room was there was not a fridge.
Ship Staff Quality
Everyone was awesome. Our stateroom staff was wonderful and more than willing to do anything we needed. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help with anything that we needed. They couldn't have been nicer!

an okay cruise
by A Traveler from South Carolina
Sailing date:
Dec 2012
Pros:
my granddaughter had a blast, her first cruise
Cons:
it was a holiday cruise, hardly anything done for the holidays, very dissapointing.
The director of the kids program was not very nice to us. We went EARLY to get a seat for the holiday show (like a many others did) to see our granddaughter in the show. we had a nice front row seat. the show was at 4:00 and at 3:45ish she comes out and says we can't sit there, it was suppose to be posted that it was reserved for the kids (no signs or ropes were there). She was not nice about it and now we had NO SEATS as the place had filled up by then. she could have been more pleasant about it and arranged that we could have sat there with the kids or something. it was in sheer poor taste of that woman to treat us like she did.

expect for the director of the kids stuff...
Entertainment & Activities
I am sorry but the costume the girls wear in the shows, i do believe are very inappropriate. There were many kids on this cruise attending these shows and those women up there in a thong that barely covers anything. even for the adults, some people do find this insensitive. no reason they have to be that barely dressed.
Children's Programs
Camp Carnival is a very good thing
