this was the worst vacation I ever went on. I am so upset I want my money back. the food was no good there was no direction on the boat as no one spoke English. you never knew what was going on . the absolute worst part was there was so many hidden charges that carnival hit me with I am trying to get my credit card figured out now trying to understand where all these hidden charges are I am doig battle just to get them removed. not what I planed on doing when I got home from my terrible vacation is deal with this I am a very upset customer

Best time ever!
by mumma from detroit
Sailing date:
Apr 2013
Pros:
everything
Cons:
nothing
The ship was great! I cruised with my six year old daughter, just the two of us,.. the ship had a huge water slide that kept her busy all of the time! They had something for everyone, a 21 and over adult retreat and 'camp carnival' where the kids could go if you needed some adult time. Great shows and entertainment all over the ship. A band and music by the pool and at night movies poolside. We absolutely loved it!

Ship Staff Quality
Our main dining wait staff and our room steward were the best. They each went out of their way to get to know us personally and make us feel special. They got to know our preferences and found ways to have more of those options available for us. They made the trip.

Not a fan of Carnival
by Laura F from Rochester NY
Sailing date:
Feb 2013
Pros:
Staff
Cons:
Food, activties, extra fees, charging gratuity on total value of cruise
Staff are super friendly, soemtimes there was a language barrier. This was a bit of a surprise since we started and ended in US territory, we kinda expected everyone to be fluent in English. Also I was sad to find out even though they charge you fifteen percent on the value of your cruise for tips, the employees don't always get that tip money.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Even though the ship looked huge, we felt much of the movement at sea, and felt off balance and uncomfortable for most of the time at sea.
Dining/Food
Food was abundant, but incredibly average. Don't get excited about formal dining, they serve the same thing they do at the buffet. There is a lot of confusion over the sitdown dining area, be advised you have a set time to dine, about 2 formal nights, and then any other time you can dine there if you want, or eat at the buffet.
Stateroom Quality
Very basic room, when at sea you will have limited tv channels
Ship Staff Quality
Staff were very friendly
Entertainment & Activities
Entertainment was so-so, the club was not very good they play a lot of their signature songs with prechoreographed dance moves, so you may see a lot of older people dancing out there. Not at all like your club downtown.

Great Cruise
by Jessica F from Michigan
Sailing date:
Jan 2013
Pros:
Excursions and Comedy Club
Cons:
The layout of the ship
The customer service was amazing. Everyone called us by name. They went above and beyond to assure our satisfaction. EX) Our excursion pick up was late due to a police roadblock on the island (NO fault of Carnival)and they reimbursed us 50% for the inconvenience! That's good customer service!! We still got to go on our excursion and we loved it. The ship seemed like an older ship but, the all of the services offered and cleanliness were just as good as newer ships.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
It took us days to figure out the layout because not all levels went the length of the ship.
Dining/Food
I would have liked more chicken and beef options. There was a lot of seafood.
Stateroom Quality
The stateroom seemed bigger than on Royal Caribbean. Very clean.
Ship Staff Quality
Everyone calls you by name
Entertainment & Activities
The comedians were fantastic. I liked the "family friendly" and "adults only" options.
